When I started down the rabbit hole researching wedding photographers, my close friend/MOH joined in and we both, somehow, separately landed on Sasha as our top choice. I don't even know where to start. I've loved wedding photography since I was kid - seriously, I used to read wedding photography blogs in middle school! I've always longed to have gorgeous wedding photos myself, and Sasha made that dream come true. My husband and I hired Sasha as our wedding and engagement photographer. As someone in a creative field myself, I am super picky when it comes to photography - so Photographer was one of (if not THE) most important things on my list for the wedding day. When I started researching wedding photographers, I was drawn to Sasha's work immediately and knew she was going to be my top choice. When she was available for our wedding date it was really a no-brainer. She gets all the classic wedding and engagement shots but makes them entirely her own, and what you get is beautifully crafted and curated images that are so authentic to who you are and uniquely told by Sasha. Her framing, angle usage, and editing are all incredible. One of my favorite things about Sasha's work is that you can identify it by the style; hiring an artist with their own point of view and creative voice was super important to me so we didn't end up with cookie cutter images that would age poorly and fall into whatever the trending photo traps are of the time. She did not disappoint. Sasha is incredibly professional in the way she runs her business, but also casual and down to earth which makes her super easy to work with. She was very prepared for the day-of with her photo list and gave great advice on how we could change around our day-of timeline to accommodate all the pictures I wanted to get. She was always communicative in the preparation leading up to the wedding which helped it go that much smoother, and the day of she was super focused on getting all the shots and melted into the background most of the time, then commanded the group other times when we needed it. She never distracted from the big moments and captured so many raw emotional interactions. My fiancé and I were so blown away with Sasha's work that I don't even know how to start this review, so I just included some of her work since it speaks for itself. I reached out to Sasha because I decided to finally act on proposing to my longtime girlfriend, and I was hoping to get someone to capture the moment. As soon as we started discussing details, I was impressed with how professional and detail oriented Sasha was. I gave her a general description of what I wanted to do to surprise my girlfriend and she just took off with it and gave me so many options to choose from, accompanied with galleries of her previous work as examples, and it seemed as though each one was better than the last. Since Sasha is able to meet you at remote locations, I picked Snoqualmie Falls as the shoot site. Sasha was able to make time to discuss details from the timing of the shoot, to giving advice on outfits, and all the way to how she was going to signal that it was time for me to take the plunge asking my big question. One of Sasha's strengths was that she made us feel comfortable with having our pictures taken right from the beginning. Her transitions between poses/locations were smooth and the time flew by because we were actually enjoying the whole process. She was able to get sample digital photos the day of the shoot, and a full gallery of our own a few short weeks after. I wish I could give a 6-star rating. Working with Sasha was a dream come true. I've used her services twice now, once for family photos and once for professional headshots. Each time, I was blown away with Sasha's experience, her staging, and overall knowledge of her craft. How is SO much talent contained in one human being? I looked at the portfolio of 40-50 different photographers after I got engaged, and Sasha's portfolio sealed the deal. Her work is undeniably phenomenal. She is one of the few photographers who captures beautiful photos using organic lighting, and does not apply an unnatural orange/yellow filter to her pictures like most photographers use. She carefully studies each location beforehand and can make your pictures in one area appear as if you took pictures in completely different locations. Sasha is an amazing photographer, full stop. I imagine that when most folks are selecting their wedding vendors, they start with maybe the venue, then get into catering, etc. Finding a photographer is perhaps finding someone who fits in with everyone else's schedule. For us, it was the opposite. We found Sasha and her work and made everything work with her availability because she was the one collaborator we felt we couldn't do without, and she did not disappoint. If you are thinking of hiring Sasha you should know she has a no BS attitude. Sasha was there to make things awesome and was incredibly direct on what needed to happen for that to work. For us, this was a perfect match, making all of our work together more enjoyable and lower stress. That is not to say Sasha was no fun. Quite the opposite! Sasha was one of maybe 10 wedding photographers I had reached out to, and was the first of the photographers I had met with after making my short list given pricing and availability. After our first meeting with Sasha and my then-fiancé, I immediately cancelled the other meetings and booked her on the spot. I have never been so confident in a decision in my life, and spoiler alert! My gut decision was dead on. Sasha is incredible - her work speaks for itself. But beyond her talents (which really, are amazing!!), she is very well organized, and her personality is so wonderful. My husband is one of those "pictures steal my soul" types, who didn't like photos because they had never had good photos taken of them. But Sasha was able to pull him right out of his shell, she's just so personable and funny and you can't help but wish she was your best friend, because she's so great. She shot our engagement photos and they were gorgeous! We relied on her to pick shoot location (she provided lots of options and support by asking us questions about preferences, and answering all question we had about the process), and it was honestly such a fun experience. We used our photos for Save the Dates, and they came out amazing! Fast forward to pre-wedding, she will reach out and ask tons of questions about what the day will be like, what you want out of photos, such as if you want specific shots, or an emphasis on getting ready, or more dancing candids, etc. She has an entire day of timeline to help plan out exactly what should be going on at what time during the day, which is EXTREMELY helpful, especially if you don't have a planner/coordinator! Day of the wedding, Sasha was her usual fun and energetic self, keeping us laughing throughout the whole process. She helped keep us on schedule, got every single portrait we had asked for, and if we had any last minute ideas she accommodated them. She also had fun on-the-spot inspirational moments and would pose us per a vision she had in her mind. And holy hell, I only have my sneak peeks back right now, but I am absolutely IN LOVE with our photos. Everything I could have asked for and more. She was able to capture us being us. The photos feel so real and so genuine to who we are, and the love my husband and I have for each other, our families, and our friends is so tangible just by looking at these photos. Not sure what good deed I did in my past life to deserve such an amazingly talented photographer like Sasha :). But I definitely felt soooo lucky to have her shoot my wedding. :) :). Sasha was kind of like that fairy godmother that made my dreams come true. She was so easy to contact and even flew all the way over to Mexico to shoot our wedding! I give her major props for making me an extremely awkward and unphotogenic person look pretty good haha. I still pinch myself looking at the beautiful pictures of my wedding day and seeing how much fun the guests had and it's been almost 8 months since I got married. Besides being amazingly talented, Sasha is patient, laid-back, professional, knowledgable, honest, and super fun! During the engagement session and wedding, she would fluff, brush out, and place my hair to make sure it looked good in the photos. She even took out a few bobby pins off her head on my wedding day to fix fallen pieces from my updo. She goes above and beyond to capture pictures that are in the moment and I love it. I'm not sure I can come up with sufficiently glowing terms for how much my wife and I adore Sasha, her talent, and working with her. When we began our search for a wedding photographer, we were immediately drawn to Sasha's ability to capture authentic moments. And then we did a virtual meet-and-greet, and we just loved how Sasha was immediately warm and fun...in addition to clearly having a wealth of experience and creativity to offer. I would not describe myself or my wife as creative, or in any way having any sort of vision about what looks good. I would also describe us as loveably awkward when it comes to posed photos (which of course are a necessary part of the wedding album). Sasha was the perfect person for us, guiding us and offering advice on everything from outfits to hair to flowers. Sasha was available to answer our random questions in the weeks and months leading up to the wedding, and she also filled in the gaps of all the things we hadn't thought to consider. She also was right there laughing with us and making everything feel that much more fun. We fully trusted Sasha's ideas and vision, and it was wonderful to be able to just let go and rely on someone so talented (and I'm a huge control-freak most of the time!). Basically, working with Sasha means relaxing, because she has you covered. She knows weddings, and her insanely good eye for what looks good means you can just go about your day and trust Sasha will capture it all beautifully. Not to mention, our guests also raved about Sasha. Of course they did! Her energy is infectious. I honestly felt sad when we parted ways at the end of the night. And that was all before we even saw the photos. I basically emotionally blacked out most of the wedding, but her photos were able to teleport me right back to the various moments of the day. Posed and unposed, her work is beautiful. We simply could not ask for more, and we are eternally grateful to Sasha for capturing myriad moments--with all their magic and love--in a day that passed by in a blur. Her photos were thoughtful, both in terms of creativity and making sure she captures a little bit of everyone there. Sasha. Is. Beyond. Amazing. I knew I wanted an elopement in Paris, France, and I thought it would be insane for me to ask her to fly halfway across the world for me, so I e-mailed her asking her to do my engagement photos in Seattle. She asked what else I wanted done and I told her about my Paris plans. I had to TRIPLE CHECK that she was willing to do my engagement photos in Seattle in July, AND THEN fly over to Paris for my elopement in October. I love her photography and her artistic talent, and I was in shock that I could be so lucky to be one of her brides. My engagement session was fun, fast, and we loved the photos! We did an evening shoot in Pioneer Square, and I was a little nervous because my husband and I didn't know what we were supose to do, or if we were supose to know how to pose already, etc. Welps, those worries went right out the door once I met Sasha. When she says she's got things covered, she really does!!! For my wedding photos in Paris, I don't even know the words to express my gratitude and appreciation for Sasha. Paris is such a beautiful city, and Sasha captures all the beauty of it AND then some more. She also flew in a few days beforehand to scope out the area, which I thought was extremely ABOVE & BEYOND. Sasha is so crazy talented, it was hard for me to believe that I was able to get her to shoot our wedding! I felt so lucky to have her capture our special day! When looking into Seattle wedding photographers, I knew that I wanted photos that weren't the "traditional wedding photos." I wanted my wedding photos to be different - to have an artistic, cool, modern and unique vibe while also capturing the emotion of our wedding day. When my husband and I were looking for a wedding photographers and we had our first initial meeting with Sasha, I couldn't help but like her right away. We just clicked with her. I had seen her photography online, so I knew I loved her style of photography but meeting her in person - I could tell she would be both comfortable and fun to work with. Our wedding took place at the Foundry in the SODO neighborhood in Seattle. Being the professional that she is, Sasha went out and scoped out the venue weeks beforehand (without me even mentioning anything) and found good spots both in and around the Foundry before our wedding. For the day of the wedding, Sasha easily bounced back and forth between my hotel suite where my bridesmaids and I were getting ready to the groom's hotel suite, without interrupting special moments. We had a big bridal party (9 bridesmaids, 9 groomsmen, ridiculous I know) and she handled such a large bridal party with ease. The Foundry is in an industrial neighborhood and once at the venue, Sasha did such a great job in finding modern, unique but warm backdrops. While shooting, she is both warm but also not afraid to take charge, and I think that initiative helps her capture such wonderful photos. Sasha has a way of putting people at ease and making them feel very comfortable when she's taking photos of them. At our wedding, it almost felt like she was just another friend attending that also happened to be an uber talented photographer. Another thing my husband loved is she can be very quick at getting fantastic shots without interrupting important moments. From our experience, she is able to get a lot of great shots within a relatively short amount of time and is very efficient. I would without a doubt recommend her to anyone looking for photographer to capture those life-changing events - weddings, engagements, first babies, professional shots.
