I wanted to take a moment to acknowledge them for their professionalism and kindness during our most recent session. Due to a scheduling mistake on our part, we arrived significantly late. Despite the inconvenience, Brittany and Joe returned without hesitation and generously spent extra time with us during our session. Coordinating a family for a photo session, especially with young children, can so be stressful, and we were admittedly flustered. However, their calm and gracious demeanor immediately put us at ease. They were patient, attentive, and made a genuine effort to engage with our children. Our two-year-old, in particular was completely at ease thanks to their thoughtful approach, including letting her view photos on the camera and accepting the little "gifts" she found during our walk in the park. This might be the most overdue review on record; however, the fact that three years later I am still committed to writing it should speak volumes about the product and customer service Brittany and Joe deliver (never mind their wonderful personalities). As someone who likes approximately 1% of all photos taken of me, I was floored by the wedding and engagement gallery Brittany and Joe delivered. It was a 100% success--both my husband and I adore literally every photo. Even friends and family have framed and displayed the candids taken of them at our wedding reception. Brittany and Joe captured us and our guests so perfectly, from the beautiful natural light to the effervescent and joyous quality of each subject; every mood and moment was a perfect snapshot of the day. I could go on and on about how amazing their photos are; my only regret is we did not buy an album in advance (trust me buy all the photos you can, you won't regret it!). As for working with Brittany and Joe--they were so organized and professional. We had some last-minute changes to our reception venue, and they took them in perfect stride and still knew exactly where and how to get great shots. Brittany made us feel so comfortable during our engagement shoot and encouraged us to have fun and express ourselves. The same was true for Joe, who joined for the wedding day. I won't say my husband and I aren't a little awkward or camera shy--but Brittany and Joe knew exactly what to do and say to bring out the best in us and our wedding party for perfectly natural and aesthetic photos. My husband and I hired Blue Rose for our wedding and engagement photos, and we couldn't have met a more perfect match for us. We were planning our wedding from out of town so we had to Skype with a lot of vendors before hiring. And because we also do wedding photography, it was THE most important aspect of our wedding. Brittany and Joe were so nice and just the most chill couple- we could quickly see without even meeting them in person, that they were the kind of people we'd want to have hanging around with us all day on our wedding. For myself, I found so many similarities between Brittany and I, in many aspects including photography style (and camera equipment..!) and speediness- she was always quick to respond to my emails, which I really appreciated. But she and Joe blew me away with their turn around time and their skill at candid photos. We saw our full gallery within 5 days (!) and had our flash drive of files in less than two weeks after our wedding. This won't happen for everyone, because it's based on how much they have going on, but it is seriously fast editing (and film processing). Brittany and Joe have a documentary style with an editorial flair and an ability to capture candid moments so beautifully. They combine a mix of digital and film, which I love. They were both awesome at directing us into poses, such that we never felt awkward in front of the camera. Also, they are really great at shooting wedding details that are so important for making up the "feel" of your day. If you want beautiful photography, if you want to feel comfortable in front of the camera, and if you want your photos back fast, then hire Blue Rose! Brittany has quickly become our family photographer. She photographed my maternity session, the birth of our son, and our son's newborn session.
