We checked into the hotel. Had a little problem getting into a finished room but Christian took care of us and put us in a corner room. It was nice. Water pressure was terrible! We spoke with the manager and general manager when we checked out. He promised they were looking into housekeeping and getting them back in line. Will we stay there again? Oh yeah. The staff for breakfast and the evening reception were exceptional. They were friendly and provided fast service. The hotel was your typical true Embassy Suites design with the atrium in the center. There were a few signs of wear that should be repaired to keep up with the expected quality of the Hilton brand. Where they fell short was the bar. The service was not upto my previous experience and the quality I expect from Embassy Suites bars. The bartender was not knowledgeable about any of their drinks and just failed to provide quality service. I had ordered an old-fashioned, a traditional drink any bartender should know how to prepare but it was one of the worst I have had. Again, the breakfast was amazing, and the staff were great both then and during the evening reception. I would say if you want drinks, save your money and go to a quality bar. read more

Stayed here Thursday-Monday-beds were very comfortable-rooms very clean. We stayed in room 308 and it was quiet enough. Black out curtains worked amazing-that new Mexico sun is SO bright! Unfortunately everything about this hotel is about as bad as you can get. First of all, the hotel scams you and fraudulently charges you more than twice as much as your hotel stay actually costs. I stayed for 3 nights (which should be about $700 total) but the hotel scams you and charges you 2 separate transactions totaling $1600. This is extremely fraudulent as they charge 1000 at check-in and an additional 600 in the middle of the night. The best part is that when I brought it up to the hotel staff, they told me that the manager would give me a call back. Eight hours later, I checked in with the hotel again, and they said that they had not escalated it to the manager. They said to check again the next day with them. Adding onto the previous issue, the hotel will also cancel your reservation so that it does not appear on your Hilton account and they don't have to provide you with any points. Luckily, I noticed that they canceled my stay after I had checked in, and I had to ask them to put it back. The next major issue is that the rooms are not clean. The chairs were dirty with debris and food on them, and the floors were not vacuumed and had hair and random change. Third issue is that the hotel will not provide you a do not disturb tag if you ask for it. They claim that they don't have enough of those tags for all of the rooms. The fourth issues that the hotel does not have any quiet hours. I stayed here at the same time a high school cheer cheerleading camp was going on, and you could hear people screaming in all the rooms around you until 4 AM in the morning. The hotel stated they don't ask people to be quiet, so if you are looking for some sleep, this is definitely not the place. The fifth issue is that they have at least 10 to 15 spots reserved for Hilton diamond members, however, the hotel does not actually enforce that. It has always completely full with people who have no Hilton status. The hotel could very easily enforce this by giving diamond members an extra parking tag to put in their car, and then have security monitor those spots at night and tow any cars that do not have that. The sixth issue is that the bathrooms are outdated and the toilets barely work. The showers have no pressure, and everything just looks old and stained. The last issue is that the fitness center is incredibly small and has no equipment. For a hotel the size, they really should upgrade the space to have more equipment in a larger area. I would definitely not recommend this hotel to anyone with Hilton diamond status or anyone that does not want to have fraudulent charges on their credit card from the hotel. read more

Inside the hotel looked nice and the person who checked me in was great! I arrived a bit in the evening so it was dark by the time I was checking in so there was no wait to be checked in and get to the room. The room was spacious and seemed pretty clean. My only issue was when walking outside and bringing luggage in there were roaches outside running around so I do not know if they need to spray or treat that but there was quite a few! Luckily I didn't encounter anything inside the hotel but they could easily come inside the doors. read more

My wife and I stayed here for one night on a road trip through the area. The hotel seems brand new, though it isn't. The rooms were very clean, well-appointed, and comfortable. As with all Embassy Suites, a Happy Hour with two free drinks per person and light snacks (cheese, crackers, pretzels, fruit) as well as a hot breakfast were included. The staff was very good. When we arrived to check in, a man (Jeff) was headed out to his break, but he stopped and came back to serve us since his co-worker was checking someone else in. The only reason I gave this place 4 stars instead of 5 is that our room was on the freeway side of the hotel and we had traffic noise all night. I still recommend the hotel, but insist on a room that faces away from the freeway. read more

It was probably built in the 80s, minimal updates, but the staff is great and it is a good value since breakfast and a nightly cocktail reception are included in your rate. The breakfast has an omelette station and everything is fresh. The cocktail reception includes two drinks per adult staying in the room, Wine, beer or liquor with the ability to pay a small fee for a better name brand. They also put out cheese and Crete along with hummus. The rooms are all suites which gives you more space, my unit was clean. The location is close to the airport and not far from downtown. Not much to walk to in the area. If you are looking to host a meeting, they have great meeting and event space. read more

Beware, if you are booking this as a wedding venue. I am the mother of the groom. The staff could not find my reservation. Once they found my reservation, I was told i was booked through a third party. I called the number on the website and was not aware of third party booking. As mother of the groom I was not given the wedding venue discount. I am paying one hundred dollars more an evening than my family paid for their rooms. To make it worse we were promised a top floor with balcony, and that is what we paid for. Instead we were given a room on the 5th floor, overlooking a rooftop, that smells like animal waste and body odor. I spoke with a manager who apologized three times and did nothing. Looking for a Hilton hotel in Albuquerque was a bit stressful, considering all the hotels had horrible reviews. My husband travels a lot and says embassy suites would be the best pick and they also have free breakfast in the morning. I thought the hotel was in a great location. It was very nice inside and everybody was extremely friendly. I do like the fact that it's very open with so much natural light coming from the skylight and that it's such a different kind of hotel. You're not closed in when walking through halls but very open and able to see what's going on every floor. We ended up getting a room on the top floor with a massive balcony looking over the mountains. Which I get, you can probably see in any direction but from Florida it's not normal for us. Our room had a living room with a bedroom that was closed off, very spacious bathroom and even a wet bar. We didn't plan it, but we ended up coming at the time of the hot air balloon festival, which obviously we ended up buying tickets for. The first morning waking up, which was around seven or 8 AM. I open the curtains and saw hundreds of hot air balloons up and down the sky. Talk about such a surprising morning to wake up to something so magical. We just couldn't believe all the amazing hot air balloons that we just saw the night before floating in the air all around us. You can't beat being on the top floor and seeing them so much closer. So, I definitely recommend getting the room with the balcony, if you are coming for the balloon fest. The top floor are the only rooms with the balconies that I could tell from the outside. Breakfast was very nice. It's a good size buffet, and they even have an omelette station which they'll make whatever omelette you want. They do have a happy hour I believe at 5 o'clock, which we did get free drinks being diamond members so I'm not sure how that works for everybody else who is not. Overall, I would highly recommend this hotel and I'm pretty picky. I found this place very clean overall and I honestly didn't find any issues and the two nights that we stayed there. read more

Very nice hotel. Plenty of parking and carts available to roll your luggage up to your room. They have a complimentary managers reception in the evening that serves wine and beer, light snacks. Also a complimentary hot breakfast and made to order omelette station in the morning. The room was spacious, clean and the bed was comfortable. My only complaint was when asking for soap in the morning, I was first told they would sent it up, I called again after an hour and was informed that housekeeping would not be in til later and then was hung up on. We are diamond members and always stay at Hilton hotels. This hotel looks like it was fully remodeled a couple years ago so I had high hopes they were keeping the rooms clean to keep it looking new. No such luck! These rooms are filthy. I will include photos. I always clean surfaces with Clorox wipes. I will show in a picture how dirty the kitchen counter was. Then I went into the bathroom and it was revolting. Why can't you clean the rooms after each guest?? You are just wiping things down and not cleaning. The shower has build up of hard water spots. Like they are just wiping things down, no cleansers. These are 2 room suites over $200 a night and you can't use cleaners? maybe a quick stroke of a brush to clean? The shower floor had a build up of body oils and dirt and so disgusting. See photo. Then on each side of bathroom counter look at the floor. (See photos) You can see build up of dust and body hairs on the floor. The kitchen floor was no better, it was dirty next to cabinets and the fridge handle was dirty. CLEAN YOUR ROOMS. Also linens are dingy looking. Ughhh!! Room 925. No luggage rack in room. Only 2 sets of towels?? If everyone would complain maybe things could change? Why isn't the manager doing checks on these rooms? CLEAN YOUR ROOMS! Whenever the hotel gets a negative complaint... it is always the same canned answer. Do NOT book this hotel if you plan to sleep. Unless you're from a place that has no a/c this hotel is worse than the cheapest sketchiest hotel there ever was because the rooms do not get cool. We turned the thermostat to 64 - as low as it will go - we keep it at 60 at home at night. And it never went below 74. In September while it's 50 degrees outside. I wish I would have camped in the parking lot. Do not stay here if you plan to sleep. When I called the front desk at 3 am telling them I want a refund they were ready with a loud box fan because they obviously have guests who made the mistake of staying here complain all the time about this. -- after talking to a manager they did refund us the stay. They told me that their air conditioning doesn't work very well so this is normal. So unless you like to sleep at 75 degrees seriously don't book this hotel. I wish I wouldn't have read more

The atrium design makes it very noisy. Something I was not used to. The rooms are spacious and clean with lots of toiletries in the bath. Bed was comfortable. The breakfast is amazing!!!! Wow a made to order omlet plus made to order pancakes, and all sorts of breakfast items! We had a nice high protein breakfast and were not hungry until about 3 pm! We try to stay at Hilton Hotel brands. We were travelling through Albuquerque and booked one night at this hotel. We booked ahead online and used the digital key. After arriving and taking our things to our room we went back to the lobby area to see if we could get another blanket. During the conversation, we learned we needed a parking pass which was not addressed during the online check-in through the Hilton app. This sounds like a gap that Hilton has with the no contact check-in. Our room was on the 8th floor and we immediately noticed a musty smell. We turned down the thermostat and turned the fan on high. Once you were in the room for a bit you didn't notice it but anytime you entered the room it the smell remained. Also, the circulation in the room didn't seem to be sufficient even with the ac fan on high. At first glance the room looked just okay, the furnishings were very old, outdated and worn. We also noted the following issues: The sink in the front living area did not adequately drain. The hot setting from the sink in the bathroom was almost scalding but the hot setting in the shower was much cooler. So far this was the most expensive room in our travels through Nevada, Arizona and New Mexico!? It is a shame to pay over $200/night for a room and have the high expectations for relaxing in a nice environment. We likely could have gone somewhere else and felt much better. We would recommend looking for another property when staying in the Albuquerque area. read more

I'm giving this place two stars instead of one because of two people: 1. The front desk manager, Tim Martinez, was very friendly and accommodating. It's not his fault that the property had multiple issues. 2. The hostess at the Cyprus Grille (I didn't get her name, but she had dark hair with a few strands of gray) was very nice. She got my take-out order 100% correct and called my room when it was ready so I could return to the restaurant to pick it up. She also made sure utensils and napkins were included. Now for the REST of the story. We traveled with our disabled son. We requested, and received, an accessible room, specifically with an accessible shower (room 233). We made good use of this walk-in shower, then went to the pool. The decking around the pool had no visible drains, with standing water about 1"-2" deep everywhere. The water IN the pool was cloudy and murky. It looked like either the filters were clogged or the pH levels were way out of balance. We only stayed 10 minutes. After returning to our room, I went to the Cyprus Grille to order dinner and returned to our room again. While awaiting the phone call from the restaurant, we heard an incessant noise that sounded like a loud cricket. When I went to get our dinner, I could still hear it on the ground floor. I stopped by the front desk and alerted Mr. Martinez. He told me the maintenance crew was already on the way to address the issue. I got dinner and returned to our room. The chirping was a malfunctioning fire alarm in the next room. The maintenance crew got the noise to stop briefly, then it started again. After dinner, I discovered our bathroom not only had no toilet paper - there wasn't even a toilet paper HOLDER! I returned to the front desk and requested that Mr. Martinez move us to another room (a) equipped with toilet paper; and (b) far away from the offending fire alarm. He immediately gave me keys to room 520, another accessible room. While in the process of moving to our new room, I encountered another guest in the elevator. He noticed our bell cart and asked, "What was wrong with YOUR room?" I told him. He said, "OUR room had a clogged shower drain!" In this new room, the accessible shower had a handheld shower wand and a fold-down seat. (See photo.) However, it also had a tub! Conceivably, a disabled person could fold down the seat and swing the legs over and into the tub - except the sink was in the way. Whoever designed that setup should be fired. Worse, in an attempt to lower the bed to an accessible height, the box spring had been removed. The result was that the bed was only a few inches from the floor, making it nearly impossible to stand up. I can best describe this by saying that when you sat on the bed, your knees were practically in your chest, and your buttocks were substantially lower than your knees. Our disabled son was sleeping on the sofabed and had no issues arising, but my husband and I - both in our mid-60s - had considerable trouble getting to a standing position. The ADA National Network recommends bed height be 20"-23" from the floor to the top of the mattress. While we didn't have a ruler with us (who brings a ruler on vacation?), I estimate the bed height was no more than 13"-16" from the floor. (See photo.) Standard wheelchair seat height is generally around 19". Additionally, the HVAC system in our new room had only one fan speed for the air conditioner - high - that couldn't be changed. Finally, the pillows were useless. Not only were they lumpy, but you had to fold them in half to get any head support at all. Otherwise, they were completely flat. It was clear to us by the end of our one-night stay that this property has multiple deferred maintenance issues. While the employees were pleasant and attentive and cannot be blamed for the condition of the facilities, Hilton Worldwide Holdings Inc. is responsible for maintenance and upkeep and has failed miserably in this regard. During these times people are quick to complain and get mad over small things that employees do instead of complementing them in something that they do good. We stayed here for a week came for the NIEA, rooms are nice and roomy, beds are comfy, bathrooms are roomy, but they don't have much tv channels, the breakfast is worth getting up for have a lot of options of what you want. Horrible customer service! We just arrived, I jumped in the shower while my son went downstairs to get sheets. A minute later the so called manager came to complaint that we were slamming the doors. Their doors have a self closing devices that slams the door shut. When I tried to discussed this issue with the them, the so called manager (Jessie) and the employee (Genevieve) threatened me and my family that they would call security and get us evicted. Not even 15 minutes in this property and both of them treated us like garbage for something we don't have control of. If Embassy Suites doesnt want noise, they should consider fixing their doors and adjusting their self.closing devices. I will be calling corporate and filing a complaint. Day 2: the old lady next door complained again of the doors slamming. My boys went to.the room and their friends knocked on the door. He opened the door and let the door go...the door closes.on their own and the old lady next door complaint about it AGAIN! Front desk talked to my son (a minor) about the slamming of the door. My son explained to him that the door slams bc the hotel has the doors set up that way. No smile, no welcome in, essentially ZERO customer service. All the notes regarding requests was ignored. I came back down as the room was exactly where I requested not to be- I was assigned. He gave me some BS on why he gave me that room. I've been traveling for work for sometime and this is the first Hilton that treated me this way. Let's talk about the room. Filthy, unkept. Light bulbs out. Hanger In the bathroom was broken. The water pipe was out for a few days and dirty water was coming out no matter how long you ran it. Stains on the floors. The tub was gross and the shower curtains barely hanging on. Every time you flush the toilet or turn on the shower there's a high pitch sound- btw you can totally here this from upstairs if the flush a toilet or run the shower. This place is definitely unkept and you can tell in the ownership this place has. Would not recommend staying here. A few coworkers stayed a Hilton garden inn and raved out nice it is. I regret not leaving after the first night. 1 star for hot breakfast in the am that I heard was good. I didn't trust it enough to try it from their cleanliness. I am an idiot for not looking at the Reviews I am a Diamond Lifetime member The Staff are all friendly but here are my issues and you decide if this is the place for you 1) My Girlfriend slipped on the Bathtub ( I asked for a Mat and they said their policy is not to supply them (I went to Walmart and paid $10 to solve the issue 2) No Soap or Conditioner in the Shower (This should be checked before checkin 3) My Key wouldn't work and still after 3 calls and two attempts to fix it still went dead 4) They couldn't print my bill hence I couldn't check it over 5) They double charged for a Room Service All they can say to all of the above is sorry I am sorry I won't return and tell all my Friends read more

Checking in was super easy. The hotel staff was very nice and helpful. We had a noise issue with the people staying next to us but that was addressed by hotel security. The swimming pool was great, breakfast was delicious. The entire property is very clean and no issues to report. Thank you Embassy Suites! read more

Beautiful hotel The rooms are lovely & roomy! Refrigerator was not stable however it didn't stop it from working. Love the full breakfast & happy hour add on with the reservation. Great choice! read more

I love Embassy Suites because of the large rooms with a couch, amazing free breakfast and happy hour. This had the same amenities but it's undergoing construction right now from 10am-6pm so it's quite loud and annoying. The room was satisfactory but very dark. I was on the 4th floor and I'm not sure if the room was just dated or if it was the southwest style but it was just a very dark room and hotel. Still had great service and was clean, just not as nice as most of the other Embassy Suites I've been to. read more
