Who you interact with at this hotel can really determine your experience. When I attempted to do early check in around 11 AM, the lady at the front desk told me it would cost $80 CAD. After a moment she relented and waived the the fee as a courtesy upon learning I was a Hilton Honors member. She was professional and courteous but I didn't get the genuine vibe from her. When I came back to the front desk at different times during my stay, there were different staff members and some of them were super friendly and genuine. The room was spacious and clean and the safe was built into the wall. Definitely 5 stars for the room in terms of comfort. The free breakfast buffet is pretty good and but they don't allow you to take food upstairs. It costs $30 CAD a day for parking and you tap your room card at the parking gate when you want to get out. They don't charge for late check out but I was only able to get a late checkout time of 12 PM. The room was quiet and it was a wonderful stay overall. read more

During the weekdays there a complimentary social hour 5 or 5:30 to 6:30PM. You get a free alcoholic drink - we got the red wine and a cocktail - fruits, cheese, nachos. The restaurant is called "Westside Social Eatery" although some just call it the Embassy Suites retaurant. .I had the butter chicken.. well. just the butter curry and ordered the fried chicken and cut it up and put it in for a butter fried chicken, the French onion soup. samosa, burger, harira, and penne arrabiata-- wow.. just delicious and the wait staff were so memorable. Décor: The entrance was beautifully adorned with Christmas and holiday decorations, complemented by a white grand piano--though it's locked. The rooms were elegant, well-maintained, and in line with the high standards of a Hilton Embassy Suites property. Best hotel I've stayed at. My family and I from Michigan fly out of Toronto every year for spring break because it is cheaper. We use this hotel every year and I am always excited to come here, even though its just for one night. The dinner food is very good (I would recommend the Calamari), and the servers are always very nice. The beds are very comfortable, and is a highlight of my spring break every year, especially because we love the Toronto area. Also, If your wondering why it only is 3 stars, the hotels worst reviews come from 2018-2023, anything beyond that has been overall great reviews. Hello Embassy! I really wanted to give this Embassy a higher rating. I thought hard and long on this. They had some technical issues going on. We stayed for 3 nights. Two of the nights the air conditioning didn't work. I really don't sleep well if it's to warm. The room itself was very clean upon entering. With very nicely updated furniture. We had a king two room suite. Bed was comfy. The room came with a microwave and fridge. I loved the flooring. It was beautiful. I would have given this hotel at 4 stars but I didn't receive housekeeping the following day. I called the front desk and they asked me did I request housekeeping.?? I wasn't aware that housekeeping only comes by from the front desk request. Not by the sign that you place on the room door. If that is the case then It should have been explained during check in. When I received my keys and vouchers. Which no one made that clear. You do receive breakfast vouchers. Breakfast was ok. No made to order omelets but a pretty good buffet. Bacon, eggs, french toast, bagels, fruits, nice varieties. They also give you evening reception hour. Which is from 5-6 pm. You receive one drink per person. With snacks such as veggie trays with popcorn, cheese, etc. Everyone was nice. Also the front desk was nice enough to wave our parking fee which was $25.00 per day when we had no air-conditioning which was much appreciated. Despite the situational occurrences. I would stay here again. Just know if you have a car. Parking is self parking but you will pay the daily rate. Which we didn't mind because we had a lot of places to visit. Which required a vehicle. This really is a lovely hotel. Everything looks very updated. Even in the lobby area. Now I thought they could have given you at least two drinks during the reception hour but that's my own opinion. The inside is nice, but I really don't like the swiping of the card for the parking situation. When I first went in it was refusing to give me a ticket so I had to call someone to come out. Then later I left something in the room and it was just a pain to get in and out of there once I checked out. Had booked a King Bed with Fallsview suite with a view of the Canadian side through Hotels.com, but Embassy's website has good packages for the same price. When we checked in, we were told there was a cancellation on the Presidential Suite and for an extra $75 per night, we could upgrade. Meh. The room was nice, but, judging by the photos, it was not much different from the original room, so I wish I hadn't accepted the upgrade; lesson learned! It was on the 34th floor, but being that high makes it hard to see the falls. Location of the hotel was alright, but you can't walk to the falls without paying for the rail car. The suite beside us was having a party. When we called down to complain about the noise, the staff took care of it quickly. Nice! PARKING. It's $35 per night, BUT with tax, (regular tax and tourist tax(ended up being almost $90 for 2 nights in just parking. Did I pay $300 more than I expected on this weekend getaway? Yes, yes I did. The casino across the street has parking for $20/day, but no in and out privileges. Probably won't stay there again or just be smarter about it. Hope this helps! read more

During our trip to Canada, we stayed at Embassy Suites by Hilton Toronto Airport and had a great time. The hotel was clean, and the restaurant staff were helpful. However, our experience was disappointing because of an issue at the front desk. We bought some snacks and paid in cash, but both times the lady at the front desk gave us the wrong change, shorting us $4. When I pointed it out to her, she was unpleasant to deal with. This hotel area is not best. Kind of downgrade. Doesn't feel safe to park car. The parking fee $30.00 per night+ tax I rent car at first, I told the receptionist 3 nights. Then I remembered that I rented the car only 2 nights ( I had to fly out to Quebec early morning). I returned the car in the afternoon. I checked in at the hotel was in the late afternoon, too When I returned to hotel around 3:30 pm. I let the receptionist (lady) that I returned my car. So I didn't need another night for parking. She told me, no problem, she would adjusted. Then I got noticed from my CC and hotel receipts, I got charged 3 nights parking. I called immediately to the hotel. I asked his name. The staff at the front desk was very friendly, the breakfast staff were super nice, the lobby and other common areas were neat and clean, the location was close to many eateries and access to freeways. -1negative star bc one day I called the front desk to replenish our towels, 2 hrs later, no replenishment so I went to the front desk myself and the lady apologized and immediately got me towels. read more

The rooms were nice / recently renovated, but this location is lacking in a few important details. I also provide this view through an American perspective (I recognize that many Canadians have different views). I stayed here for a very quick two night stay (coming from Los Angeles) to attend a funeral. The hotel lobby is nice / spacious and the front desk staff were quick to check me in. My room was also clean and felt upgraded compared to rooms at the same chain in the US. Where this place failed (in my mind) was in the following areas: - Hotel/Airport Shuttle: It runs only once an hour! When I arrived, I waited more than 45 minutes before giving up in frustration and ordering an Uber for the five minute drive. When returning back to the airport, I was ready at the designated departure time, but it was already full. I ended up having to take an Uber back just to make my flight. I'd expect a much more frequent schedule at an airport hotel. - On-Site Dining: At most Embassy Suites in the US they have happy hours / breakfast / snacks available, but this didn't seem to be a thing here. Although there is a restaurant on site, it's a much more formal place and not suitable for someone wanting a grab and go meal. They do have a shop for sundries, but the selection is sparse. - Room Service: While quick, the serving sizes were a joke. I ordered wings and six little wings were delivered. My quesadilla was the size of a street taco. Unfortunately, there are no other real dining options in the area. While the bed was comfortable and I felt secure, I'd probably look for alternative hotels the next time I'm in town. read more

Power was out a full day during my stay. That means no water, no toilet, no ac/heat. No elevator. Cust service doesnt want to claim responsibilo ity because power outage is not their fault they say but it's not right that customers are being charged to stay in rooms where you cant use your own toilet more than once, cant take a shower, brush teeth, get ice, water, or see around your room. Also my phone is losing charge, I can no longer work due to my laptop dying. I called hilton and there are no other Hilton's around to transfer too, they're all full, lucky ducks have toilets over there. If you want to know what the first day of a pseudo apocalypse is like while staff try to keep you calm, stay here. No need to go to vegas for a fancy experience. I gave 2 stars because the first day I was able to use my toilet more than once and fill my water glass. UPDATE: called hilton cust service and they relayed the complaint back to the hotel, even though I already spoke to management about the concerns. Then the next day they told Hilton cust service that they spoke to me, BUT they haven't spoken to me since the complaint. They lied about resolving it with me. I was not impressed at my suite but it was due to the cleaning employee... windows were dirty... from the inside of course. The wet bar counter was dirty and inside the fridge and microwave. When asked for feedback... they apologized and offered me honor points. I am a Diamond member so I always review when asked. I do appreciated them doing something about it. As for the cocktail hour... that was nice and food apps were good. Their breakfasts can improve a bit with selections... as french fries were being served... not hashbrowns... or potatoes as it stated... in the same veg family I guess LOL. Omelettes were runny... but I guy running 4 burners.. he was swamped and it showed in the omelettes... many were not impressed. Lobby is nice... this hotel just opened up 3 months ago. Downfall is parking is $25 per day. Other hotels on the same airport strip offers free parking... so not sure why these guys are charging. The hotel itself is modern and sleek. Rooms with a king bed are well designed and you have a bedroom, a living room and two TV's with a wet bar area, coffee maker, fridge and microwave. Some rooms have a bathtub and I have been in two rooms so far with walk in showers. This is a very clean and modern hotel. I like it and the accommodations are 4 -4.5 star. The issue is that the service is a bit slow. 1. Dinner first night. Took us about 40 minutes to get our food. There were only three other parties in the bar restaurant area. 2 star service. Food was 4 star. 1 star for the long wait. 2. Breakfast first day- if you go at 9:00 iit is crowded, busy, and disorganized. From rude guests who cannot queue up to none of the food being refilled in any timely fashion. Breakfast second day. Well on weekends they are only open at 7:30 am so at this time there is a massive line of people. This is a great experience of you want to do some emergency preparedness. You get to see people and guests in their most rude, food grabbing, hoarding and obnoxious behaviors. Free Food, hungry people and an underwhelmed and unprepared server and food management made this experience a one star affair. Not eating here tomorrow. I would rather pay then see what I would become should a national emergency hit us. 3. First room that we went to was a double bed and the layout was awkward. It was st the end of the hall. The air did not work. We wanted another room and they asked us to wait for the repair guy. After 20 minutes I went down and changed rooms. Next room was perfect. The bathroom vent enclosure was falling off and making noise but I didn't call it in. The TV did not work so we called and it took 6 hours to fix. 2 star. The lines can be long at reception. Made a booking on line through the Canada Gov website for quarantine and picked this hotel because the rooms looked good and because I'm a top level member in the Hilton Honors. We arrived around 10:30pm and did not get a good feeling or vibes upon entering as everyone seemed to be gathering behind the reception and NO ASSISTANCE for handling bags, welcoming etc. Our feelings were right when it came to the rude and disrespectful Sr reception staff (long Story) and we ended up having to leave and go across the street to the DoubleTree, where we were welcomed with open arms. There was an issue with the reservation, but that does not give them the right as a Hilton chain, to try and abuse customers, not give any assistance in securing alternative accommodation, abandonment and lock customers out in the cold. read more

WHITE AMERICANS STAY AWAY FROM THIS HOTEL! I was unceremoniously KICKED OUT OF THEIR LOBBY ...FOR NO REASON other than the fact that I am a white women who referred to their brown staff member as "this lady." The brown manager who was being extremely rude to me due to the fact that I use both my married name and my maiden name on my credit cards was interrogating me for these reasons - and then when he asked for my other ID (which I had already given to his staff member) I said "this lady has my other ID in her hand" ..well at this point ..due to my referral to the receptionist as "this lady" the manager FLEW INTO AN IRRATIONAL RAGE and KICKED ME OUT OF THE LOBBY - said I was too rude and would not be given a room. Not only that - two days later - my credit card has been FRAUDULENTLY CHARGED and any attempt to contact them now is greeted with IGNORANCE, DENIAL AND HANGED UP PHONE CALLS. I have had to report this hotel to my credit card company and I will also be following up with a complaint to the Consumer Protection. MY ADVICE: If you are a white person, you will be treated with HOSTILITY from this institution and possibly robbed. STAY AWAY read more

It was pretty busy when we checked in, but I don't think that excused how rude the front desk staff was to our family. They upcharge you on a lot of things, like parking and having an additional guest in our suite, which seems unreasonable, at least to me. The rooms are nice, but more business-like. Embassy Suites Toronto airport is a the perfect place to stay. The airport shuttle is very quick. It runs every 30 minutes. The driver was friendly and welcoming. The ride was nice and relaxing after a late long flight . The check in process was quick and smooth. I just love Embassy Suites. Angela at the checkout desk was great she went above and beyond, she print directions out for us, she was a great help. We had an early flight out of Pearson, so we decided to stay near the airport (we live 4 hrs away). As I prefer a suite concept, this hotel jumped out. Our check in receptionist was fantastic. She was funny, made recommendations and advised us of their bkfst times. We also discovered that we had inadvertently booked the wrong stay...we booked a stay and park combination (you stay the night and leave the next day), when we should have booked a Stay and Fly combination (you stay the night, use their airport shuttle, park for the week). After resolving the error at check in, we were given our room keys and off we went. The hotel was recently renovated and it shows. It was sparkling clean with modern decor. Our room was laid out well and when inside, you couldn't hear any hallway noise. Bed was very comfortable and amenities were great. The shuttle drivers to and from the airport were friendly and efficient. I only grabbed a tea/coffee/muffin/fresh fruit for bkfst, but the room was clean and selection was good. Staff were engaging and friendly. Would have no hesitation recommending ghe hotel and I would definitely stay here again. read more

The hotel was refurbished in the fall of 2017. It is lovely inside. We got a "suite." A suite consists of a wall between the bed and a sofa with a small end table- pretty small. I do question their use of a marble floor in the bathroom. Since the bath mat is just a glorified towel, stepping out of the shower wet can be a slip-slide experience. I'm guessing the owners are feeling the financial pinch of their refurb. The evening hors d'oeuvres and breakfasts seem to be where they are cutting corners to make up the losses. I suggest skipping the free breakfast altogether unless your taste buds are dead. The evening get together is pretty sparse as well. The hot hors d'oeuvres are hidden behind the glass counter and you are given one at a time. I asked for two and was told I would have to come back. They put out cheese and crackers but ran out of crackers and claimed they were all out. Instead of refilling platters as they emptied, they waited until they were picked clean and seemed to hope people would lose interest instead of asking for more. Lovely facility that is completely upgraded. We had the queen bed suite which is actually one large room, not a 2 room suite as with most embassy suites. Very near the airport with an airport shuttle which was one reason we chose it. The managers reception was sparse but well prepared. Breakfast had a nice variety of options for every palette. The staff was nice but they did need more front desk staff as there was a line to check in. read more

Hotel rooms are very nice and chic. My main issue is that the hotel is not in the city centre yet acts like it is. As a registered guest, parking should not be an issue but they act like you're in downtown. It is because of the parking policy that I cannot rate this any higher and highly recommend anyone else stay closer to have better ease of getting around Toronto. As gold members, we always stay with Hilton but not again at this hotel when we come back to Toronto. read more

Very very disappointed .....Booked the hotel through booking.com (which I love) for a business trip (2 night stay). I called the hotel right away when I found out I could only stay one night instead of 2 nights, this was 3 weeks advance notice. Management told me that they would hold my reservation for the evening I was arriving but I had to PAY the evening I was cancelling.....REALLY, that is bad business, with 3 weeks advance notice. As a business owner myself what kind of policy is that with advance notice???? so needless to say I would NEVER stay at the Embassy Suites Hotel (Toronto Airport) unless they got rid of the management staff! I am always in Toronto for business and have stayed at many different hotels in the area, I have never had a problem before cancelling with advance notice. They have lost future business with me and I will pass along to anyone thinking of staying there.... not too! read more
