Stayed here for a weekend trip to Canada. The hotel looks to be newly renovated. However, there's not much around the hotel and you do have to have a car in order to be able to go to restaurants or activities. Room was nice, bright, and spacious. Hotel has a small fitness center and indoor pool. Microwave and fridge in the room which was good! They had breakfast in the morning which included eggs, sausage, potatoes, pastries, cereal, yogurt, juice and coffee. They also have Al La carte items you can order for a fee. Hotel staff should be more mindful of guests coming down bare foot, it's inappropriate to be around food and others bare foot in a public space in my opinion. The one drawback to this hotel is that it advertises a bar/restaurant but they weren't open on the weekend. After a long day out it would have been nice to just be able to come back to the hotel for dinner and not have to go back out to get food. read more

(This review is for the conference centre, located within the hotel.) It's all about the basics here at the Brampton Hilton Garden, which is located in a virtual dead zone near the Etobicoke border. I ended up coming here to cover an event hosted by the Brampton Board of Trade. I was a bit confused when I rolled up to the place, as I thought it was initially being hosted at the Pearson Convention Centre next door. Sure that I was reading the directions correctly, I walked inside the hotel and was directed by a friendly attendant to a nearby meeting room prior to the event. The first thing that surprised me was how small the main lobby is. I walked in through the front door and saw a man sitting a few feet away eating breakfast before turning to look at me. Turns out the in-house restaurant is located right beside the main desk, which is a bit confusing when you walk in, but I suppose works great for those in a hurry. The meeting room itself was functional, with plenty of A/V equipment, a large projector, clean placesettings and plenty of ice-cold water. If there was any part of the experience I was disappointed, it was the food that was being offered for the meeting (a separate spread to the one found in the front restaurant). I had showed up expecting to find a full breakfast (the invite did say it was continental), but only found croissants, some cornbread/raisin muffins, a fruit platter and bagels (which weren't even pre-cut, to boot). They had equipment that seemed to be set out in anticipation of more food arriving, but either due to lack of interest or not enough participants, I didn't see anything further. My overall impression of the place is that it's serviceable. Maybe with another visit in the future, my opinion will change, but my thought is that this doesn't have much more going for it that makes it stand out as opposed to other conference centres in the region. At least the event, a roundtable with Green Party leader Mike Schreiner, gave rise to stimulating conversation. 3/5. read more

Not much around as it's off by Airport Rd and Steeles. I have been to many hotels and many are from the Hilton chain. I have to admit, once inside... this hotel is nicely kept. The heated salt water pool is small and goes the depth is just over 4.5 ft.... the chairs here are nice to relax in. Room options includes 1 bedroom suites, jacuzzi room and your standard 1 king or 2 queen rooms. If you are a Hiltons Gold or Platinum member, hot cooked to order breakfast for you and guest is free... along with the regular members rewards offered... which varies from sister companies; Hampton, Embassy etc... This Garden Inn stands out from others in its very handsome modern decor, which makes it look a notch or two above its pay grade. Otherwise, it's just about the same set-up, with a small pool, and a tidy fitness room that's well equipped. The rooms, too, are a good size. My only complaint is that there is only one phone - by the bed, which means there's nothing at the desk. It's also a regular phone, not portable, and lacks a speaker function. Parking is plentiful, and depending on where you need to be, the location can be 'just right' (north of Pearson) or miles from nowhere. Even to Mississauga it's a 15-minute drive with no traffic; and those of us who know knows that there's no such thing as Toronto 'with no traffic' :-). read more

Good hotel with spacious rooms, king sized beds, desks, TVs, etc. Loved my room. The staff was nice and helpful. I couldn't believe they didn't have slippers or bathrobes in the room so I called front desk and they were able to send me up a robe but the hotel does not have any slippers... note to self, always pack some. I ordered room service and they took around 45mins to bring me a steak dinner and a glass of wine (fancy I know hehe). It wasn't the best steak but I was starving so I ate it. The breakfast the next morning was pretty bad (thankfully I had a voucher and didn't pay). Overall, a great hotel in Brampton if you want to stay near the airport for a conference/meeting. Don't rely on it for food though. read more

I really enjoyed this hotel. The rooms were very nice, bed was comfortable, jacuzzi was good size for two people if you're into that, the rooms were large and the hotel was quiet. There were a couple things I didn't like and I will mention those now. I go to hotels a lot and this was the first hotel that actually charged my credit card a deposit instead of just having it on file - not a huge deal. It's in a very isolated area so you can't really go walk and get food. The blinds don't close 100% but it's not a big deal if you're on a higher floor. Breakfast is not included and it was rather expensive! Things I did like... The shower was amazing... Multiple jets in the shower. Again easily a two person shower. It was very clean in the hotel. They give you nice shampoo, face cleanser and even mouthwash instead of the normal stuff no name you get in other hotels. After about 15 minutes of being in the room, they actually called us to make sure we were happy with the room. It was so quiet in this hotel and I didn't even see another person the whole time other than the workers. Wifi was free! Unlike some hiltons and embassy's - I didn't have to pay $10/device daily. For Brampton hotels... This is definitely my favourite. read more

Our stay here was so relaxing and enjoyable. Upon arrival the front desk staff was accommodating to my room preferences and very helpful. We had clothes sent to be pressed the night we arrived and we received them back promptly the next day. The breakfast was included in our room rate, but is not a complimentary breakfast included with all room rates. There was cooked to order eggs, vegetables, bacon, potatoes, plus a continental side with cereals, oatmeal, fruits and more. There's an attention to detail with cleanliness in this hotel. I'm observing an employee wipe the tops of each picture frame in the lobby right now. James, our waiter at breakfast this morning, was very friendly and attentive to our every need. Outstanding service James! The location might not be suitable for you if you don't have a car, there isn't anything close except for industrial businesses. If I could give it a minus 1 star I would. Considering I stay at so many hotels for work this isn't an old hotel. It's throwback 90's... motel like air conditioning, washrooms 80's yellow lights not great to pick on makeup for work. TV small and old. Mattresses let's not go there. I will leave with a spring in my back. My grandma has a nicer one from the 70's. We were put in a handicap room shower was not pleasant, spoke to manager on duty. He didn't care... beware stay on the airport strip where they care to out do the next hotel. Typical of bram-town lol. Yuk!!!! read more

We had a very weird experience at this hotel. We checked in pretty late last night at around midnight, and got a creepy vibe right away. Once we turned the light off and got into bed, we all (3 girls) had the feeling of someone else being in the room watching us. We all thought it was our imagination and continued to go to bed. Then in between 2-3 in the morning, one of us could hear a "ssshh" coming from inside the room. She woke up and saw a face appear from behind the wall where the bathroom is looking at us. This took place in room 612. Very scary! Also in the morning we had noticed that the luggage we had put in front of the door was moved. I recently stayed at this HGI, which is close to YYZ (only about 4 miles away). Not much around, but convenient to 407 and other highways. Newly built, it has a great modern industrial decor. We had a great experience here at the Hilton Garden Inn. We came in from NYC for a wedding, where there was a church ceremony about 45 minutes away but the reception was later on at the wedding/event hall right next to the hotel. We had stayed at a Hilton Garden Inn in April, during our trip to Washington DC and loved it. Free large parking lot. Free WiFi. Huge beautiful lobby that has a 24/7 pantry that has many convenient-store type items, including snacks. There is a restaurant in the lobby as well that opens for dinner, but in the morning they offer a breakfast buffet for about $13 per person. We did not get a chance to eat there, but other relatives staying there did and they were quite happy with it. Check in was painless and the room was wonderful. We got both Fri and Sat for $107 for a 1 Bedroom Room, which has a separate living area with a pull out sofa bed (not very comfy) and a flat screen TV in both the living room and the bedroom. Bathroom was wonderful and stocked with nitrogen stuff, which is definitely a welcomed change from the regular hotel crap you sometimes get that leaves your skin dry. Small pool and fitness area on the main floor. Pool area was nice, with lounge chairs and the pool ranged from 3 - 4.5 feet deep. Not the biggest, but more than enough for my 4 year old to enjoy himself. Two elevator, 7 floors I think with about 15-20 rooms on each floor. Never had to wait long for an elevator. Check out was easy, as with most hotels, your bill is slipped under your door in the morning of your check out and you just drop yours card keys off at the front desk when exiting. Another great experience at this chain once again. Recommend to any and everyone. read more

My husband and I traveled from Maryland to Canada and could not wait to get to the hotel. Once we arrived we were quickly checked in and got to our room with ease. The room was clean and just what we needed to relax after a long trip. The pool was great and not too crowded when we did go down to swim. The view from the 7th floor was nice. We were able to see fireworks in the distance which was a plus. It is a little far away from food and shopping. There is free wifi here but it sucked. We constantly got kicked off and had to sign in over and over again. The overall experience at this hotel was great. read more

Don't expect a friendly staff. At check tonight at 10:30pm the first lady at the desk was on the phone never spoke or acknowledged my presence. So after a few minutes I interrupted and asked if I have a electronic key can I go on up? She nodded. After going up and it not working returned to desk where she was still on the phone. Still no acknowledgement then another lady came from the back got something out of a drawer no hello and went around the corner. A man came in with a drink n his hand went in the back no hello. By this time my digital key shows up so I walked away to my room. Man Where's the Customer Service? Hotel lobby is beautiful and Room is nice and clean. read more

This hotel is isolated. We had an event at the Pearson ConventionCentre right next door. The was the only close amenity. Nothing else is walking distance. No shuttles anywhere. Closest restaurants or stores a 10 minute drive on a busy highway. No hot tub but the pool and gym are as expected. Internet was free but incredibly slow. read more

The staff is nice, and it's clean. However, the kitchen, and dining area are way under staffed. The bar tender is hardly present because they are waiting tables as well. I've complained about it several times, but they refuse to add staff. Most recent, they have a cook that doesn't know how to cook. Why? Because the previous cook quit due to being under staffed. Very clean and great working staff here. They gave us a 2 hour late check out with no hassle at all and made any accommodations that we needed. This is one of those experience I would like to forget with Hilton. We stay at Hilton most of times but with this experience I am thinking may be not again. Dana front desk employee customer service was sub standard. She does not communicate well, we booked 2 days through Orbitz, and she gave us room for accessible guest room- reserved for physically handicapped, which we did not reserve in the first place. Does not tell which way to go to find the elevators, out of 2 guest room keys only one was activated. So all round it was not a good experience. read more

Honestly I shouldn't give this place that low of a rating, but their customer service really pissed me off. Don't get me wrong, beautiful hotel, rooms are nice, they have a nice lobby and everything. However, there were 4 of us sharing a room and you always have a few people that like to take a few showers a day (me being one of them) whenever we asked for more towels they wouldn't give us more towels unless we gave them the used ones first. I was legitimately in my boxers and they guy who came to the room told me he can't give it unless we give him the used towels first, and guess what? All the used towels were in the bathroom and one of my friends was taking a shower. We had to wait for him to get out of the shower so we could give the used towels and then get the new towels. I've never had this issue at any hotel in my life, and I've been to hundreds of hotels. Honestly, I don't think these guys lived up to the Hilton name. I've been to Super 8s with better service. This was just one of many customer service issues I experienced, I'm actually going back to Toronto and I saw this hotel come up and I purposely passed it up due to my past experience. Again, I'm one guy that's complaining I'm sure others have had better experiences. read more
