Bed bug found on the pillow in this hotel

BED BUGS! BED BUGS! BED BUGS! We stayed three nights at this hotel, and it was a nightmare. On the second night, I woke up itchy and covered in bites. Later that evening, while inspecting the bed--already fearing the worst--we found a bed bug crawling on the pillow. When we reported it, the night manager refused to acknowledge what it clearly was and said pest control would "check in the morning." They moved us to another room and put our belongings in a heated tent, but wouldn't inspect the new room with us, which left us on edge. The following day, management confirmed it was indeed bed bugs and refunded just one night. That doesn't make up for the stress, ruined vacation, and the fact that this seems to be an ongoing problem they aren't fixing. Now we just hope we didn't bring them home. Do yourself a favor and avoid this hotel.

When we checked in, there was a nice receptionist that gave us cookies. I've never been to a hotel that gives you COOKIES when you check in. The hotel is very clean and modern, everyone is nice and friendly, and our room, room 319 was great, but it had a few things. The shower was weird, it randomly turned cold mid shower, and toilet sounded like it was always leaking some water, but the room was clean, free water bottles, a coffee machine, and a big, long work desk. The ac was the thing that made me sleep comfortably. It made those loud noises that made me fall asleep in minutes. Also, the snack bar is nice and the restaurant is great. I ate new things every day with some coffee and it was delicious. Everyone was friendly. Overall really recommend

Five stars out of five stars! From making the reservations with Tim on the phone, to jing as the concierge giving directions instructions and advice, to Harry checking us in at the front lobby, providing valuable service and cookies! Made our stay unbelievable! Fantastic service! Very friendly and helpful!

Nice Exterior. Wierd $25 for getting into the room early. Never heard of that for a hotel like this. Hilton really? The town seems safe but I did notice that the elevators don't require a room key...so people can get upstairs fairly eThe room is comfortable, does the job. There's a market place open 24hrs for snacks etc. The view from the room is amazing every morning and evening. You can see the ice skaters. Very pretty. Concierge: SUUUUPER Nice people and helpful staff..BUT be mindful of the tours they recommend. The tour recommended to me was described as a private tour...it's really just a drop off...there weren't clear instructions on how to meet up after free time and other guests costs us an hour of time. Also, the car seemed like it needed some maintenance. Tour guide nice, just not the best tour experience I've had. Room/Interior: Decent size, comfy bed...and free warm yummy cookies at the front desk.

Great Hotel but Very Tight Parking and low garage.

What a great hotel. Just a warning the parking area is kinda tight. You can't beat a well maintained, Freindly staff hotel that serves fresh warm cookies at check in. They even gave me a breakfast buffet for 2 voucher since it was my birthday. Great place to stay, I would highly recommend it. It is also walking distance to china town and little Italy. There so much to do close by that we never used our car again till we departed.

Stayed here for a work trip cause we had an event. I've had nothing but great experiences at Hiltons before, this one changed my mindset entirely... Slept at 12-1AM and woke up at 5AM cause I had to use the bathroom, went back to bed and I saw 1 bug thinking "oh it's just 1 bug, let's kill it and go back to sleep." (Mind you, I've never came across a bed bug in my entire life). Something told me to flip the other pillows and came to find out there were HANDFUL of bugs, something I never ever came across EVER. Came to find out they were bed bugs!! There were adult sizes to mini baby red dots. Killed all of them and moved my stuff away from the bed. Had to get some sleep so I ended up using a makeshift bed with the rolling computer chair and some table cause I was working the event. 1 hour passed, exhausted and not mentally prepared, but I had to get ready for the event, went down and told the front desk POLITELY/DISCREETLY about the situation cause I didn't want to alert any guests and they said they would tell a manager right when they get in and move me into a new room. They called me during the event in which I wasn't able to pick up but I called back and the front desk said they would let tell manager call me back. 6-8 hours later no call back, went back to the hotel and wanted to follow up with the front desk, I was able to take to a manager, Asian lady who said they would "investigate it" and let me know details but they moved my things for me. The most underwhelming compensation EVER, I've had McDonald's give me free food for forgetting something. I got into a new room with the same layout, that's it. No free breakfast, no upgrade, nothing. Could've at least given another free cookie? All in all, checked out with a new mental scar of bed bugs at hotels, as well as potentially a few bed bug travelers (not dealing with anymore bites, thankfully) ALSO no call back about the situation, it's been a month already.. What investigation needs to be done? I have all the proof here.

The front desk staff was great, the rooms are clean believe it or not we actually had a halfway decent a few. Parking sucks but that's expected with a hotel located inside a big city. I don't stay at Hilton's any longer so Doubletree it is. Plus they have the cookies! Oh for the record if your car is over 6 feet tall you will be parking down the street around the block.

This downtown Toronto hotel is in the belly of the 6ix and only blocks away from the Eaton Centre, CN Tower, Scotiabank Arena and the Kensington Market. You are definitely paying for proximity in the mid-range hotel. It is rated Accessible and but not pet-friendly. Front desk staff are courteous, friendly and professional; be nice at a minimum and you'll get that in return. This is my first visit to this venue. I'm only here to visit 3 guests staying in 3 rooms. I can't speak first-hand of the room experience but each person said their room was nice. Just keeping my social distance with the COVID-19 situation and the safety of all. Paid daily parking is available. WiFi is free for guests. Amenities include a fitness centre and an indoor swimming pool & sauna. Hemisphere Restaurant Bistro is currently closed due to pandemic restrictions but their are a few restaurants within walking distance offering takeout only. DoubleTree has a 24-hour market in the lobby area if you need a quick snack or beverage.

Roger's Stadium (Blue Jays), CN Tower and convention center were all in walking distance. I actually arrived early but my status was recognized and my room was ready. Staff were very friendly and responsive throughout my stay. I was upgraded to a one bedroom which was welcomed. The room was large and comfortable. Better than the family's last stay in SoCal. The only room issue i had was the location of the in room safe. It was on the top shelf of the closet and the closet door blocked the safe door from opening fully. The other issue was 1 out of 3 elevators was offline the entire stay. It did make the waits a little longer. On the second floor was a very small gym but it did have a multifunction weight gym and cardio equipment. A water dispenser was located here. The heated indoor pool and spa was in the room next door. Breakfast was decent with a rotating menu over my stay. Scrambled eggs, omelettes, pork or turkey sausages, egg bites, seasoned potatoes, etc were some of the hot offerings. Cereals, breads and prepackaged yogurts were some of the cold items. They had both regular and oat milk which was nice. One note was that you have to provide your name and room before being admitted. There was a good amount of seating and was never crowded. In the evening the bar was open. Would come back and stay here again.

They especially enjoyed looking out the large window at the convention center, CN Tower and Lake Ontario. It was also nice having the extra (1.5) bathroom. The beds were very comfortable to sleep on and the housekeeping staff was almost invisible (a good thing). Since we got club level, it was convenient to grab food and snacks in the club lounge. Quite kid friendly, although with toddlers we were a bit self-conscious of our kids being too loud and messy. You can imagine my terror when my 18 month old threw a cup of milk on the lounge carpet. Luckily, the lounge staff is wonderful and welcoming and were very understanding of this mishap. The pool is very nice and heated. A little less picturesque than the St. Regis pool (which is located on a high floor) and smaller than the Shangri-La pool but still very nice. There are other amenities that are good for kids such as a free treasure hunt, complete with a prize at the end. Ritz Kids also has other paid activities that we did not do like baking classes, in-room camping, movie nights and family picnics. The hotel itself is conveniently located near the CN Tower, Ripley's Aquarium, train museum and Rogers Centre. Most of these venues are within 10 minutes walking distance. I think it is also near the underground PATH, that connects many of Toronto's downtown buildings so you can avoid walking outside if so desired. Overall a great luxurious and family friendly hotel in downtown Toronto. Great for families visiting harborfront, CN Tower, Ripley's Aquarium or Rogers Center. My only minor gripe is that the lobby is not particularly impressive.

The hotel itself has Amazing customer service, great amenities, and an Amazing soft bed which I was looking forward too. Issue: The game was at 3pm and it is currently midnight as I write this review. The stadium lights are still on and shinning brightly through. Before booking, I looked up reddits and different posts that said 11pm is when the lights normally turn off. But at 11pm the stadium turned on either a loud vacuum or fan of some sort (and it has been on for the past hour).(( UPDATE: turns out it's Leaf blowers. TONs of employees using leaf blowers throughout the stadium to remove trash.)) (((2nd noise update: 330am-7am more loud machines, they are now power washing the seats/floors throughout the stadium, plus noise from employees chatting while working)). The hotel should at least provide some transpency and warn guests about the field doing maintenance because I would have rather saved a thousand+ dollars by just going to the game itself and picking a different room knowing we'd be getting a get a good night's rest. Maybe the hotel could provide sleeping masks since they cannot install decent floor to ceiling blackout curtains. Or how about providing earplugs? Either way... started off at 3 stars. now at 1 star experience. So if you or your toddlers are light sleepers this room is not for you. The hotel has a resturant that had this delicious Snickers Martini that was probably 10358 calories but it was so good I have like eight. The breakfast buffet was not horrible but also not great in some regards. They did not have skim milk which is okay but the selections were a bit lacking, esp of healthier options IMO. But it was still quite good. i had a voucher from my company so I could not tell you the price. The hotel is nice enough, the doors at the entrance are a case study in human factors engineering since you veer to the right to go in then sharply veer to the left to get through the ante room to the lobby. There are 4 elevators and there is a huge column that requires you go look at the floor indicator bar where there is an arrow adjacent that says if you need to look on the other side of the pillar for your cab.
