I lived at Cinnamon Ridge Apartments (6565 Spencer Highway, Pasadena) from January 2019 and would…read morenot recommend this property to anyone. Between unresolved maintenance issues, safety hazards, unusable amenities, and how management treated residents, our time there was consistently frustrating. Maintenance & Unit Condition Around the time I first moved in, the dishwasher was already covered in mold, and the fridge started collecting mold as well. Instead of upgrading or swapping out these appliances, they were just left in place the entire time I lived there. The bathtub started peeling paint chips the very first time I used it, back in 2019. From that point on, we were hardly ever able to use it and relied on the shower instead -- an issue that was never properly fixed for the duration of our lease. More recently, in November 2025, a vanity sink overflowed in my unit and I noticed a brush had been used on the ceiling afterward. When I asked management directly whether the discoloration was mold, the Community Manager, Miroslava De Leon, told me the overflow "was not caused by a constant leak, so it won't create mold," and that maintenance would only "monitor this week as a precaution." When I pushed further and requested an air quality report for the unit, I was told flatly: "We do not offer any air quality assistance." No inspection, no testing, no real answer. I experienced frequent headaches, coughing, and dizziness, and was sick quite often during my time there. Amenities Never Maintained The laundry room was almost always broken -- machines out of service for extended periods with no urgency to fix them. The pool was closed far more often than it was open, making it effectively unusable as an amenity residents are paying for. Safety Concerns The doors in our unit were never properly secured -- they would swing open on their own with just a light breeze. This caused my dog to get out of the apartment on more than one occasion. Other tenants routinely let their dogs off-leash despite property rules, and it wasn't enforced. My dog was in a fight with an off-leash dog and ended up with a busted blood vessel in his eye as a result. Another tenant hit my parked car on the property. A police report was filed, but the resident faced no real repercussions -- they were simply allowed to move to a different parking spot. The gate was routinely left open despite residents being given fobs at move-in that we never even had the chance to use. This lack of basic security wasn't just a minor annoyance -- shortly before I moved out, someone came onto the property and stole all four tires off another resident's vehicle. That kind of incident says everything about how unsecured this property actually is. Management When I tried to ask questions about documentation for my ESA letter -- which I had, properly provided by my therapist -- the manager was dismissive and rude rather than helping me understand what was needed, even though I was genuinely just trying to clarify some confusing points. Bottom Line Between the mold and appliance neglect, ongoing health issues, broken amenities, unresolved safety hazards, a theft incident, no accountability for property damage, and dismissive management, I can't recommend this property. If you're considering it, ask hard questions about maintenance follow-through, amenity upkeep, pet policy enforcement, and property security -- and get everything in writing. Beware of the new apartment being leased in August 2026 (front of apartment complex on a corner) and confirm they fully clean the vents & get mold testing before moving you in. Funny enough I'm looking at the fees they are still trying to charge me while I lived in mold - what a joke. They sent the charges without an itemized statement when in reality by living in that mold i shouldnt be charged at all - but ok. Their reply to this review in google is laughable. When we called their number "Rita" hung up after hearing of the complaints since living there. As well as the MOLD.

I came in without formally reserving a tour (had…read moreanother tour prior and didn't know how long that would have lasted) and upon walking in, I was immediately greeted by Ms. Jezek. She was assisting another person, but was very friendly and even offered me water as I waited. The lobby is beautifully decorated and it's cool to know they have a Christmas decorating section. The gym was very nice with a stair climber. As Ms. Jezek became available, she maintained her friendliness and was very down-to-earth. I was originally interested in the E floorplan, but there wasn't any available to tour. She showed me the upgraded F floorplan with SS appliances and granite countertops. She explained the differences and comparisons of F to E units. The upgraded F was very nice and almost perfect minus the price. Upon getting back to the office, Ms. Jezek went above and beyond even explaining some D/C/B floorplans. Sadly, most units have either white or black appliances and it's a gamble on which you could receive. I explained to her that my prior apt, San Marin in Austin was an older apt had white appliances that I despise. I just cannot go back to white appliances - they are ugly and outdated, and mines at San Marin felt like they were from the 80s. *Anyways off of that sidenote* Ms. Jezek did not assume that my last apt was low income due to the older appliances. She was very understanding and searched for units that had a newer finish with the right price. Ms. Jezek even showed me the actual unit. The unit was beautiful, spacious, and bright. The attached garage was a real treat. The grounds appeared to be lovely with its foliage, and tall trees, and I didn't see any exposing trash littered throughout. There are some things I'd have to consider such as living near children. I saw children's toys in the adjacent unit across from the unit I toured. That was one turn-off since I WFM and prefer quietness over screams. Another thing is the lack of parking around the unit considering most of them were numbered (reserved). I wasn't much interested in having valet trash service again, had it at Valencia Place in Houston. The apt complex may be older, but the curb appeal is very beautiful. It's in a prime location especially if you shop in CL. I'll have to deliberate further with Ms. Jezek before my final decision.
