Mold was all in the vents of my apartment. Roaches, spiders, and other bugs always in the community and the unit even when I cleaned everyday and had pest control come spray every Wednesday. They advertise low rent but they have like $200 in fees which just skyrockets what you have to pay monthly. They charge $65 for internet that goes out every other day. The only positive for this place was Shae in the front office she's the only person who really cares and the maintenance team was also amazing. You can definitely find a better apartment for cheaper or the same price they are charging that actually has more amenities than they offer and actually keep up with said amenities. read more

If you don't want your vehicle vandalized within a month & a week of you living here. I wouldn't dare move here and ,10 out of 10 I DON'T recommend ‼ I spoke to the manager about how I only been here a month & a week and my car is sitting on bricks and needless to say they don't care at all !!! They can't even offer 1st month free for the garage($100 a month) or even half off the first month etc..... I asked her if we have security how were they able to Vandalize two cars in the same night ?! Where do I start with this apartment? First, I moved in around January 2020 right before the winter storm. This apartment has been HELL EVER SINCE. Firstly, they lie about this deposit stuff for the apartment. I moved in, and the apartment was a mess. I assumed okay, it's possible that they were in a rush or something. After the storm, MOLD (YES MOLD) started appearing in my room. Plus, my wall was open for months. I reported the mold and was told it was dirt/ bust (which was a complete lie because you could smell the mold) (pictures will be added below). It took months for my wall to be FIXED, which. I had to pay rent for a place I could not even stay in (my Apple TV was stolen, on top of that my heater and mirror were destroyed). On top of that, I had to get a ring camera because I feared for my life when a man banged on my door at 3 am because he and his girl were fighting. The next day, she is throwing his stuff over the balcony. A month later they had a shootout at the apartments and a bullet went through a person window into her kitchen while she was sleep. The Neighbors by the pool would stand outside doing drugs, fight with gun visible. The office would not let us neighbors who are fearful for life move. Then they claim they got rid of the problem and later that summer another person was shot by the pool with kids around. Plus, the residents stay fighting, and they stay putting people stuff out in the hallway. The office is messy and would tell everyone business and about how they were trying to evict the so-called bad people from the apartments. The office is not help and does not care for anything but money. They even admitted to not having "real security" and no cameras (I have this on recording said straight from Kim herself). This year I asked to be moved due to an emergency, plus the mold became too much. I went through hell, I was lied to whole process. I was told to get a police report etc and then was given no credit to transfer to a NASTY A** apartment infested with roaches. I had to bomb the apartment myself, plus CLEAN THE NASTY A** apartment. My shower was broken, the refrigerator was messed up, a tree is danged near on my balcony, wasp nest on the balcony, my stole barely works, plus dryer issues, plus it was nasty asf (pictures will be attached). I was given no credit for all the money I had to come out of pocket. My perilous place they recanted out had again molded, the laundry area door fell on my head, and the floor was peeling with black stuff on it, plus the carpet was coming up and dirty from the men who tracked stuff from the ceiling the half a** fixed. This apartment HAS BEEN A NIGHTMARE. RUN AS FAST AND AS FAR AS YOU CAN. They moved us into roach infested apartments and blamed it on people not living here. Please look at the pictures and think long and hard. When I ask the office for anything it's an issue, they are truly illiterate and incompetent. RUN when my lease is over with, I have gone. This is the worst apartment I've lived at, it is not safe my car was stolen there . no camera system .

Someone in a previous review described this place best, GHETTO. Let's start off with the problems first. Application process was sloppy they had tons of clerical issues. Then the unit I applied for wasn't ready so they moved me into another unit that wasn't ready either. That was a bait n switch! Then the sink was broken, ceiling was leaking, air conditioning on the roof vibrates the whole room, refrigerator is super load, and the dryer barely works. Since moving into this place is going nothing but down hill. All of the neighbors slam doors and yell in the hallways, people park anywhere and anyway they want, garbage covers the hallways and steps, people fighting, loud music from cars in the parking lot, cars being broken into, and the police are always coming out. This has to be the loudest most ghetto apartments I've ever lived in. Good luck getting any sleep here. If you're not waking up to doors slamming, or inconsiderate neighbors, it's the lawn care men coming around twice a week to blow dirt all over your car. If you're looking for a clean and quiet apartment to live in this ain't it. Hope you like waking up at 7am everyday and walking past trash. Note to management: When showing apartments to future residents don't slam doors and walk past all of the trash in the hallway like it's not there. I have lived here for two years. It has been an enjoyable experience. The maintenance staff is the best, Mario and Elmer. They take care of everything fast and efficiently. They have so much personality I just love charting with them whenever I see them around. Shay in the front office is also amazing! ANYTHING I need she handles it fast and without any issues. I never have to worry about If something will be handled when Shay is around. I will continue to enjoy my stay here as long as I can rely on these three. They never disappoint. read more

This place isn't worth it. There is no peace and quiet here. I can't sleep in bedroom because the A/C on the roof and it shakes my room. Then they have lawn care come by twice a week at 7am. Hallways are filthy and neighbors are loud. People illegal park cars anyway they want. I recently applied to live here and I was pretty taken aback by two things in particular: Management oversight and crime in the area. I get that I live in a large city with crime but when there are constant ratings from apartment rating websites with negative reviews, that should give you pause. When I checked crime stats on the city website and there are an average of 6-10 robberies reported on a monthly basis, I may have dodged a bullet (no pun intended) for this property. Management is aware of the issue but, I am leary about their commitment in solving the issue. Although the leasing staff is competent in their duties, I think that managers here seem to be very short-sided in their decision making. I am glad that I have chosen to live elsewhere. Pros: Close to the medical center lot of spaces outside for dogs to play in (leashed of course) hardwood floors big washer and dryer Cons: kitchen looks outdated its supposed to be luxury apartments but everything looks kinda fake parking is bad so you are forced to pay for a garage or covered parking just to claim a spot lots of families are moving in and noisy single people maintenance replies on the third attempt office people are not friendly only quiet during the weekdays when i moved in it was under a different management and things were smooth but once riverstone took over it all went downhill. From renting 4 different places each year in college, to one other when I moved here to Houston, this is probably my favorite, apartment wise. I've been here since January 2014 (8 months total), and so far I have not had any major issues with living here. Current maintenance - they're always out early every morning maintaining the complex. Pet owners tend to not clean up after there buts but maintenance is consistently on top of it. New - I'm in a 1 bd/bath. Haven't had any issues with appliances not working. Everything is all still relatively new. Management - Super nice and helpful. I had an issue with my rent upon first moving in (credit I told I was to get was not being applied, but they handled the situation very patiently and kindly.) Pool - Nice looking pool area to relax in. Sometimes can get pretty popular on the weekends, but what do you expect. Noise level - Okay for the *most* part. Luckily, I'm on the second floor and the only thing underneath me is a garage, so I don't have to worry about how loud I'm stomping. However, either I got used to no one living above me or something, but some young adult girls have moved above me recently and have been somewhat loud with their gatherings at night. Haven't had to complain yet. The only time I've ever complained was when someone decided to move in from 9-12:30 am on a Wednesday night. Imagine a dolly slamming up and down the stairs (my apt is right next to them), and it's not ideal. They are not supposed to move in that late, however. Security - There's always a security car patrolling the complex, and one time the security officer came to let me know my door was slightly cracked open and to make sure everything was okay. We have received a notice recently of possible theft happening, however I personally haven't seen anything. Overall I'm satisfied with my stay here. Unless my rent gets raised a lot, I plan on renewing my lease. read more

My husband and I visited these apartments this past weekend. They were very pretty and seemed new, clean, and modern. The prices weren't bad either. We didn't love the location, but it was kind of set off, in a greener, semi-wooded area. The staff member we spoke to was a temporary employee, but she was very friendly and helpful. There really didn't seem to be anything wrong with these apartments, we just weren't excited about them and wanted a different location. read more

My roommate and I had a great experience in our short 2 years there. We got in when the apartment was brand new and have been through rough patches with them. I have to say, I don't remember any of the rough patches now. What I remember is a nice clean apartment, easy maintenance, nice pool/grill area and fast reactions to break ins. As soon as we started having trouble with break ins they got cameras, security patrolling and alert alarm systems installed. Even moving out was effortless and we got our refund in the mail. I'm not sure if we got our deposit back, but my roommates cat kind of scratched up the place haha. I remember some of the grievances now: Neighbors not being penalized for leaving out their trash for days, no one cleaning up after dog owners who didn't pick up after pets and you could hear some loud neighbors (but that is to be expected). I have lived here for almost 2 years. The staff has always been welcoming and informative. They were always hosting events to bring residents together. Pet friendly. I feel safe here. Never had any issues or complaints. It's easy to get a hold of management. They are very reasonable and understanding!! I've never had an issue with flooding either in this area. DO NOT RECOMMEND. I've only been living here for three months... My car was broken into this morning. i contacted the rental office and the manager, Kim Dillehay, informed me that there's a security guard from 10-6 (i've NEVER seen one). She also told me that there were break-ins last week. When I asked how come residents weren't informed she said the legal team doesn't allow them to (wtf?!). She pretty much told me that it happens all the time in Houston, trying to normalize it or something. So today, my car and three others were broken into. She told me that they can't prevent this which is understandable, no one can really control vandalism/theft. However, there are measures that management can take to reduce the chances of events like this. I've lived in inner city Baltimore and D.C. where auto theft/vandalism is common and with security, nothing like this has ever happened! The gate stays open sometimes all night and I've never seen the security she speaks of... she said he has to maintain a low profile so he can catch people. lol. The apartments are nice looking but they really ain't shit when your safety is being compromised. It made me even more upset because I asked for corporate's contact or the regional manager and she said there is no contact... ok shaakia and mikiya are great but the other staff lacks prompt communication. It took about two months to remove a random charge on my account (due to needing to talk to corporate) yet when I call I'm told, "there is no corporate contact". I was really in love with this place when I first moved. I saw reviews about auto vandalism and now I wish I would've taken them into consideration before moving here. Stay blessed! read more

My husband and I have been here for over 3 years and we love it! The office has been so accommodating - especially Katherine, the Assistant Manager! And Shay is so efficient!Maintenance is always on top of it. They know their job and make the repairs quickly. Mario is just great! Our apartment itself is very up-to-date and stylish with an open floor plan, garden tub, vinyl plank floors, recessed/theatrical lighting and a large granite kitchen island. We were awestruck when we first saw the pool area - it was simply AMAZING! It looks like a resort! The gym is just great. It may have taken a little while for it to be upgraded, but when finished, it was converted to a state of the art gym! But what we have really appreciated here are the smiles and a sense that the office genuinely cares! This is a place that you can really call home. read more

I just want to share my very frustrating experience with this community. I signed a lease with them after seeing the model which had hardwood floors and upgraded kitchen appliances and with the understanding that the actual apartment I would acquire would be similar. When I received the keys to the actual apartment it was a standard unit with old carpet and an outdated kitchen. Long story short I asked to be released from my lease because what was shown to me was not what I received. I was given a run around for 4 days saying that the supervisor was taking the matter to regional. Then they finally asked me to come in for a meeting and at the meeting said that they were letting me off easy by paying the reletting fee and threatened that I wouldn't want them to take it to regional but yet all week they stated they were waiting to hear back from regional. I even received an email from Shaakia , one of the leasing agents, stating that regional couldn't make it on Wednesday after going back and forth all week due to the weather. Then the next day at the meeting they switched their story and the supervisor said she wouldn't be able to talk to regional until the following Monday. When I told her that was fine. She rudely said "Well that's fine you already admitted guilt in the first email and anything after that is hearsay. Kathy the manager was also very rude and condescending. I asked for a copy of my lease via email multiple times and in person during the meeting. I was told their printer was working and they couldn't email it to me because they couldn't confirm my email. Yet, I applied and signed the lease electronically and the welcome home letter was sent via email. I have also reached out to the regional manager Kelly Seylar and have not received a response. I emailed the office again to follow-up on regional's response and nothing. I would just like a response so I know how to proceed. I am just trying to handle this matter in a professional and responsible manner. And would like a response from somebody in that office. read more

I wanted to give them a 5 star because it's a very lovely place to live , everyone is super friendly and maintenance is super fast. The bad part is that the grills never work. We've gone down there about 6 times so far and everytime we are extremely disappointed. I talked to the office and they said oh they ran out of propane gas and they will order new ones, so why for the next few weeks they still haven't worked ? And today 2 months later me and my man got some steak and all our stuff and headed to the grills and they still hadn't fixed them or got new propane tanks. It's so frustrating I'm not paying this high of a rent to have beautiful grills that don't ever work. Very upset. I have complained too many times and still saw no results. read more

I moved out of this apartment last summer but let me say, Connection at Buffalo Pointe was definitely the best apartment community I lived in Houston. The only reason why I moved out was due to my roommate situation and working in a different area of town. :( They are exceptional in all aspects of apartment living. Rent is reasonable, maintenance is ALWAYS on top of their game and friendly. The pest control company they contract with had our roach problem situated within the first month of moving in. Valet trash was good about picking up. The complex was pet friendly and their trash bag areas for pet waste was always stocked with bags and most people picked up after their pets. I love how diverse the complex was, and everyone was friendly. The complex is very well lit at night, and I think that's important to have!! Landscaping was always kept up with on the weekly basis. Here and there the gate would stop working but they were quick to fix it the next day. Unfortunately due to Covid we couldn't enjoy the pool too much or the gym (but that's almost at any apartment). Overall I was happy with my stay. Thank you Kim and the staff for an amazing lease and being so friendly! read more

I've lived here for over 2 years and I would not recommend this place. Management is very lackluster. The reasons I lived here were purely for conveninence because of proximity to work and because of the reasonably priced rent. Temper your expectations if you expect decent service from management. Maintenance has improved slightly over the years. My maintenance requests used to get ignored. Phone call after phone call and message after message, no one would return my call or acknowledge my maintenance requests or concerns. There is security here that patrols the apartment complex but I really question what they really do. The officer is always in his vehicle. He hardly walks around to actually inspect suspicious activity. Management has tried to engage residents more by offering resident events recently. However, turn out is always very poor because the last thing anyone living here would want to do is mingle with the staff. They are not friendly and turn over has been SO high since I moved in. Always someone new in the office and unfortunately they never now how to resolve issues. I've received several strange emails and notices from the office about fees, and when I call to inquire, they tell me it was sent in error. They are just a mess. The apartments "look" very nice (they are actually cheaply made) and I like the roommate layout however, the cons outweigh the pros. The apartments are very expensive (great area near the stadium) but the walls are thin and the tenants are very loud and inconsiderate. You can hear everything from the neighbors arguing, people outside in the halls yelling and cursing, dogs barking, loud music, singing, neighbors having sex...etc... I've had difficulties sleeping because it's always something going on. This is the most expensive and loudest community I've ever lived in. Also, there are lots of immature students who tend to do things like leave their unwanted textbooks in the the halls. Or, they leave their trash right outside of their doors; it's ridiculous. I don't think you get what you pay for here. I actually can't wait for my lease to end. Look around, unless noise and immaturity is not an issue for you. As I'm writing this review, there are a couple of guys outside of my window singing and cursing so loudly that I'm about to go out on my patio and ask them to keep it down! I'm not exaggerating. The complex itself is well maintained and nice. As for the staff, maintenance is very prompt and professional, the office staff has room for improvement as some times they are Misinformed and lack communication, which can be frustrating as a resident. Almost every single time I call the office I get sent to voicemail and ,rarely if ever, receive the call backs I request. If I do receive the call backs it's almost 6-7 hours later. As for the apartments, I live in 1bd-1ba and have only had an issue once with the air conditioning. Which in this heat and humidity is necessary. I called and maybe an hour later maintenance came by and fixed it quickly! The apartment itself is nice, and the location is great for the price. Noise isn't that bad, my neighbors are quiet but the dogs in this complex are loud and their owners never clean up after them. Almost every day there is either dog poop all over the grass ( and the complex provides owners with baggies and a trash can) or the sidewalk. Security is the good, as they patrol the property and are at the complex almost every night. I haven't heard of break in since I moved in, but I feel safe. read more

We have lived in this complex for three years. We have had wonderful experiences with all members of the staff, from the front office to the maintenance crews. I wouldn't mind living here longer, but our expanding family needs have changed. The only downfall to apartment living is the neighbors. For a while it was difficult dealing with some of the less polite residents. Those who didn't understand how to be considerate of their neighbors. I lived here for three years and loved it for the first two. The last year was rough. Not because I didn't like my apartment or the amenities. I even loved the on site and office staff. They were caring and always tried to do their very best to fix any problems and make living at the connection a great experience. My issue was - the neighbors. It started off as a relatively quiet complex, but my new neighbors fought at 3 AM every night, on the balcony no less. Played their music so loud my floor would vibrate on a quiet Sunday afternoon and I can definitely recall the police showing up more than once. Unfortunately this was the final straw. Ironically all my original neighbors moved out right before me likely for the same reason as they had been there for just as long as I had. I know there were complaints placed but they remained in the complex - if anything I hope that the complex staff now takes complaints like these seriously in the future to avoid losing good tenants. read more

My Mom has lived here since they first built them about 6 years and I lived in California and every time I would come visit I would stay with her. I really liked the apartments because it was safe (My mom never had any problems) and I hadn't either. And it was mostly young professionals. I decided to move back to Houston a few weeks ago so I reserved my apartment and was supposed to move in on Aug 30 which would have been a month later. Well Fast forward to Aug 5 and I really wanted to move in sooner. I went and talked to the office staff and Cathy the manager allowed me to move in on Aug. 6! My apartment is and A-1 and I really love it! I appreciate how the staff jumped through hoops and made it possible for me to move in a month early. I would seriously recommend this property. I would not recommend moving to Connection at Buffalo Pointe. The lack of professionalism with management, has consistently been a problem for well over a year. In addition, the crime rates reflect burglaries and robberies consistently on a monthly basis on this property. Needless to say, I don't feel safe with the management or the lack of security. If you are looking to lease or rent in the 77054 zip code, I would recommend hiring a realtor and leasing one of the many townhomes in the area. read more
