Leo was in touch and willing to work with us every step of the way, even helping us cultivate an à la carte food and beverage menu to suit our needs. The space in the back was perfect and spacious for our 40 guests, the food was excellent, and the staff made us feel like VIPs even though it was a busy Friday night for them. Everyone was sitting and enjoying the game. Now the food is also not very bad for a bar. I got their chicken sandwich, it had blue cheese, which I don't enjoy, but it had a tangy sauce that complements it well. Their fries that came with the sandwich were good, like McDonald's. Solid bar with pub food and TVs in an area that doesn't have too many sports bars. We needed a place to watch the football game while killing some time and Emblem was a great option. There are a ton of TVs and when we sat down they asked us if we had any specific game requests for the tv in front of our table. There were also lots of tables which is always a plus on a Sunday game day. The menu is pretty standard bar food - burgers, sammies, nachos, wings, etc. There are lots of tap craft beers and they are fairly priced at around 7-8 bucks. My dude and I went splits on an order of nachos with chicken and guacamole. The nachos were smothered in black beans and queso and came with a few sides of assorted salsa and sour cream. The owner is extremely sweet - my glass was broken and he comped a round of drinks for us as an apology. You can tell that they definitely care ton about their customers. That is reason to support a business alone, but great drinks and food certainly don't hurt. I stumbled on Emblem completely by accident. A friend and l were in about to go clubbing in Brooklyn and wanted to grab something to eat before. We walked by Emblem and decided to pop in and see if anything on their menu was good or if the kitchen was still open. This was about 11:30 pm, and the bar would close within an hour, so we didn't hold out much hope. However, when we walked in, we met the chef talking to the bartender. They were both very nice and were willing to take our orders. The chicken nachos were delicious: hot and cheesy, with a generous serving of guacamole on the side. The salsas were pretty good too, and my friend also loved her fries. We also got $4 tequila shots. The tequila was smooth, so we didn't even really need salt or limes. While we were at it, we also played some Jenga (there were other games too like What do you Meme, Taboo etc). Emblem was a pleasant surprise and a great way to start of the night. I held a private event here this past weekend and couldn't recommend them enough. We were able to rent out the entire space for ~5 hours with a fully serviced open bar and our entire party had an amazing time. Rod who managed the bar that night was incredibly helpful and kind and made the event everything we wanted. They have a beautiful outdoor garden that they allow you to use as well as the indoor bar area. The venue provided us with technology to plug in a slideshow and play our own music as well as 4+ bartenders for the open bar for an extremely reasonable price. We were also able to bring in our own decorations to make the event exactly how we envisioned. This place has great potential and I was really excited after reading reviews. What really killed it is especially one guy - who played pretty bad music VERY loud (when there only 9 people in the whole bar) even after we nicely asked to turn it down twice. Our group had to scream the whole time. After that, this same guy got our order wrong and then forgot twice. I get you might hate your job, but if you're going to smoke before, at least know how to treat your customers. The one guy is really the reason I'm even writing this review.
