We realize how important it is to have a vet you can trust, one that doesn't make you feel as if your sick pet is a money machine. Personally, we've used Dr. Hendrix and believe he is a solid vet, who is caring and trustworthy but frankly I'd find it hard to believe that wouldn't be the case of every vet who works here. In addition, the front staff is friendly, inviting and helpful. This is a 5-star Veterinary clinic and one that's worth the extra long drive.

Dr. Floyd is incredibly kind, patient, and has a wonderful bedside manner. She always helps Ruby (and me!) feel calm during visits, no matter how anxious we are walking in. She's responsive on the pet portal, thoughtful in her recommendations, and consistently follows up after procedures or acute issues. I know many clinics do this, but her personal touch and genuine care really stand out and mean so much to us. The staff at SLPH is also fantastic--responsive, organized, and quick to help with appointment requests or clinical questions. The office is clean, and while wait times are usually short, even on the rare occasion there's a wait, it's absolutely worth it. I should've written this review long ago, but Dr. Floyd and the team truly deserve the recognition. I still drive 30 minutes each way because I trust them completely with Ruby's care. Dr. Vogt gave me a prioritized list of how best to provide care for Nutmeg which allowed me to make informed decisions. Her exams are the most thorough I've ever seen. Every member of the staff is compassionate, patient, and professional. No, Friendship is not the cheapest hospital out there, but even though my funds are limited I know I get the highest value for every dollar. One year later Nutmeg is still sleeping next to me every night and going for walks around the block. You can't put a price on that.

A few hours later, Ralph underwent bladder stone surgery at Rosenberg Veterinary Clinic, where I paid approximately $2,700 for the surgery and related treatment. After the surgery, the clinic sent me home with two medications and verbally informed me that one was an antibiotic and the other was a pain medication. Over the following days, Ralph did not improve and appeared to be getting worse. Tragically, he passed away on May 19, 2026, less than a week after surgery. After his passing, I reviewed the medications that had been dispensed to me and realized that both medications were pain medications. There was no antibiotic included, despite the clinic charging me for one and informing me that they had provided it. I contacted the veterinary office on May 20, 2026, and staff admitted that the antibiotic had not been given to me. They stated they reviewed their camera footage and confirmed the medication was never dispensed. They apologized for the mistake; however, they are refusing to provide a refund or otherwise take responsibility. They (the owners) tried to say the reason they couldn't refund me was because I scheduled an appointment and didn't show up, what they didn't notate was that I called them twice that day once at 8:04 am and then again at 1 pm the same day to reschedule due to work schedule but their front desk is horrible at picking up the phone. Please be careful with bringing your pets here.

Checked in at 12 PM and picked up kitty at 3 PM the next day. $45 for the first night and $22.50 for the 1/2 day (from 12-3). ouch. All in, a simple cat bite cost approx $500. The staff were very pleasant and helpful. However, Dr. Clark (part owner) was focused on charging as much as possible. I cannot recommend this place.
