On May 14, 2026, my dog Ralph was experiencing urinary blockage issues related to bladder stones. Before surgery, I first took him to an emergency veterinary hospital where I paid approximately $1,480 for emergency treatment, including catheter insertion and stabilization. A few hours later, Ralph underwent bladder stone surgery at Rosenberg Veterinary Clinic, where I paid approximately $2,700 for the surgery and related treatment. After the surgery, the clinic sent me home with two medications and verbally informed me that one was an antibiotic and the other was a pain medication. Over the following days, Ralph did not improve and appeared to be getting worse. Tragically, he passed away on May 19, 2026, less than a week after surgery. After his passing, I reviewed the medications that had been dispensed to me and realized that both medications were pain medications. There was no antibiotic included, despite the clinic charging me for one and informing me that they had provided it. I contacted the veterinary office on May 20, 2026, and staff admitted that the antibiotic had not been given to me. They stated they reviewed their camera footage and confirmed the medication was never dispensed. They apologized for the mistake; however, they are refusing to provide a refund or otherwise take responsibility. They (the owners) tried to say the reason they couldn't refund me was because I scheduled an appointment and didn't show up, what they didn't notate was that I called them twice that day once at 8:04 am and then again at 1 pm the same day to reschedule due to work schedule but their front desk is horrible at picking up the phone. Dr. Fry is great, front staff is horrible. They don't answer phones. Was on the phone for 1.5 hours, got in my car went directly to the vet office and told them that I had been on hold for 1.5 hours. When they noticed I was on hold they hung up the phone. When they answer the phones, they don't say anything, they just put you on hold and forget about you. Hours show open until 5:30, they don't ever answer the phones. When Dr. Hester owned this vet clinic, there were no problems. They are losing business like crazy and evidently don't care. read more

Terrible service made an appointment for 10:00 we proceeded to wait for 40 minutes and ended up leaving becAuse the waiting room was full all of the dogs are agitated and upset mostly because of how stressed they all are and how long they've been waiting. Some guy got in there at around 10:30 and within 10 minutes he got called in. Of course we were mad. There was this old dog in pain that was there before us and he wasn't treated with urgency poor dog. I don't know about the vets. From my experience, they are competent and caring. My concerns are with the staff and the lack of a reliable communication system. We took our dog in for a cyst on his upper gumline. which the vet advised us to have biopsied. That procedure was done June 30, 2025. We waited two weeks for a call with the results of his biopsy and then spent a week trying to contact the office by phone and email. They only answered the phone after I posted a review here. After a diagnosis of amelanotic melanoma, we were advised to watch the dog because the cancer would probably spread to his lungs. We were given pain pills for him. When his breathing worsened last week, I tried six different times in a three hour period to contact the office and get some directives for his situation. All six calls went to voice mail. I finally just drove down to the office to talk to receptionist. She admitted that the phones often don't work and that I should book through the website. I asked what I should do in an emergency. She again directed me to book through the website. Appointments available on the site are usually at least two days in advance and that would be zero help. And, from past experience I know they do not respond to email messages. Nor do they respond to voice-mail messages. We called another vet and booked an appointment for this morning. The new vet's office advised me that they had contacted Rosenberg Veterinary Clinic for the dog's records but did not receive a response. No surprise there. After the new vet's exam, she advised us of his condition which turned out to be worse than we thought and we agree to euthanize him at that point. He was a good boy and he's pain-free now. It just bothers me so much that he suffered needlessly because we couldn't reach his doctor. And wouldn't have been able to get in to see him for at least another two days. I had a disappointing experience with front staff at Rosenberg Vet Clinics First, the staff needs to educate themselves--Parvo is NOT an airborne virus, and misinformation like this is concerning. Moreover, the receptionists were far from cordial, which made an already stressful situation even worse. If I could give zero stars, I would. The lack of professionalism and knowledge here is alarming. I encourage potential clients to look elsewhere; don't be misled by the positive reviews. Your pets deserve better care and respect than what I encountered. I sincerely hope the veterinary or owner reads this and reflects on how this behavior from staff can affect his business . I will not make the mistake of taking my animals to this vet clinic again. They had me pay 195.00 for a test on my cat and told me they would call me with the results. They confirmed the phone number when I was in the office. They have not called- I have tried to call but the voice mail if full or they do not answer. The receptionist is rude. The doctor's excuse for why you waited is they were euthenizing another pet - This was what the doctor stated on two different visits that were two years apart. The receptionist even stated she had been helping a client get their pet ashes - the client could not afford so the receptionist covered for the client. Really? All I know is Dr Hester was good- but this vet service is awful. Really a great place to take your pets. Dr. Hester obviously cares for his patients and has a "bedside" manner that keeps them calm and easy to work with. We went in fearing the worst, and when the "cancer" turned out to be a cyst imagine our relief. Cyst was removed, antibiotics given, prescription provided - all for under $60 and we were on our way home. So great service and very affordable. What more could you ask for. Now our go to place for veterinary services. A little out of the way for us but worth the drive. read more

We took our goat here and the vet said she didn't see farm animals (even though the clinic is marketed to farm animals as well) and briefly looked at our goat and said he would not make it and die soon. Cow in distress. Called at night and auto-answer ("we are closed message") directed me to an ER in Sugar Land or Katy. Not that critical, so I called in the morning. Supposed to be open from 8 a.m., but auto-answer was still engaged until 8:45, then nobody physically answered until 9:04. That someone answered then put me on hold - for over 4 minutes then severed the call. What a way to run a business. Update: I kept trying to call to talk w/ someone. Got "busy" signal. I had an emergency with my dog not being able to breath. They made me wait one hour in the car with her panting . New vet came in and didn't introduce himself and shoved a syringe in stomach area without telling me what he was doing it. When I asked what that was he said it was to see if there's fluid in stomach. Never seen any vet do that. Then he did x-ray and told me liver was enlarged and pushing to lungs and she's gasping for air. He said we could give her antibiotic,B12 and steroids. And I said ok we can try for few days I guess. I put my dog in my car and within 15 minute she was worse. I drove back and she died before I got to the vet. I would never take any of my dogs there. I'm done with this place. Dr Hester is ok but he's never there so I wouldn't risk putting my dogs in their care. Dr. Hester is probably the best vet I have ever met. The clinic itself is nothing fancy. However for the quality of the veterinary care and the price of the services offered I could care less how the office looks. The staff has always been accommodating to the needs of the many animals I own and have found over the years, and Dr. Hester has always gone out of his way to care for my animals. This includes Dr. Hester coming to the office on a SUNDAY EVENING from home to look at my sick dog on an emergency visit when no other vets were available. To give a basic rundown of some estimated costs I have paid for (may change): -$30 for an office visit/exam -$100 for cherry eye surgery -$75-$100 for spaying a dog (less for neuter & depends on weight) -$50 to neuter a cat -$12 for a rabies vaccine -$40 for medications to fix an anal gland & treat infection -$30 to euthanize a 15 lb. dog They also do pet cremations, nail trims, sell flea & heart worm preventative, sell special diets, and do a HUGE amount of other procedures/vaccines/surgeries. I simply cannot imagine going to any other vet clinic in the Ft. Bend area for vet care. read more

Brought my dog in 4-22-2020, for his annual shots, anual glands cleaning. A woman came in and while she was cleaning his glands I told her he needed his teeth clean, for he has brown nasty tater all around his teeth, he was a month from been 64 in doggy years. The female vet checked his teeth and said it wasn't bad enough to clean them yet. I looked at her like she lost her every loving mind. I said, "His breath stinks"! Her reply was, "Give him a mint." Lets just say I was so angry, I have never gone back, too Dr. Hester. When the woman vet told me this I totally forgot to tell her about how sometimes he wasn't himself. Four months later I seen my dog was getting worse of not been himself, no engery, hard to breath, coughing badly, so bad I thought he had heart worms and him going out to potty more often. I brought him to a different vet., the vet gave him an examination, check his teeth, check his anual gland, and check to see why he was scratching so much, checked him for heart worms and check his heart and lungs. The new vet said that my dog has, Heart Valve Disease, skin allgeries, his teeth does need to be clean, but before any surgeries he has too take antibodies, his anual gland wasn't clean correctly, one wasn't clean at all and the other anual gland half clean out. I have had some people tell me bad stories about there animals been brought to Dr. Hester office, but I did find out with my own little dog. I am so glad a found another vet that is so loving and caring with my dog. Oh! My little dog doesn't have heart worms. YaY!!!! read more

I'm a college student from San Marcos and I drove 2 and 1/2 hours to get my 2 pups yearly shots from these guys. I was not disappointed! Well worth the drive. The gas money I spent coming here plus my visit there was still less than the cost of my old vet! Not the biggest place but it's very clean and staff is super sweet. Again I drive all the way down here because the prices can't be beat y'all and so do a couple of other friends who live up there! Don't spend money at overly priced vets to get the same treatment here and save money! read more

The lady at the front desk was extremely rude. Not just to me but the person she was on the phone with. Whoever she was on the phone with didn't understand what time her appointment was and that really aggravated the front desk person. "Your appointment is at noon.....noon.....12 o'clock..... what part of 12 o'clock don't you understand?!?" If I was that client I wouldn't come in. When she got off the phone I asked her if she knew someone that could come and pick up a baby squirrel my dog found. "I'm not doing that again. Last time i had to pay $200 in donation fees". The staff at Dr Hester's was so professional and caring, and made our cat's final trip to the vet as good as it could be. We have used Dr Hester for many years and have always been very pleased with his services and truly know he is a great vet. But, today we had a very bad experience. My nephews older dog was very ill and needed to be put to sleep. We made an appointment for 3 o'clock. When we arrived there was no one in the waiting room but they wanted me to fill out papers and pay in advance. By the time I finished, the waiting room had filled up with people with appointments after mine and with people with no appointments. We were waiting outside and we told the receptionist the dog was suffering and needed to be put down. My nephew became more and more upset watching his dog suffer as he waited for an hour to be taken in. During this time we went back in several times to tell the receptionist the dog was suffering and needed to be taken in now. The longer my 50 year old nephew waited the more he cried and became upset over his dogs suffering. After an hour of waiting and all the people with appointments after ours and no appointments being seen, my nephew left with his dog, went home and shot her. The receptionist had absolutely no empathy for the situation or the urgency. A chicken with a hurt eye and no appointment was more important on this day than a dog that was suffering with death and her owners pain at not being able to do anything to help her. It appears this office has no method of prioritizing patients by appointment time, arrival time or urgency to be seen. So today it's been almost three weeks since I had to have my dog , Butters , put to sleep . he was close to 16 and was sick . He had a tumor on his leg was we were told we could remove it but it would grow back and since he was so old he may have problems of we have surgery for him. This decision to put my dog was so hard for me . I have had him since he was six weeks old . He's moved into my house with me and Zack .. He's always been here so it seems. I have been to the Rosenberg veterinary clinic in Richmond, TX several times so I called and made an appointment for my Butters there. They of course need to know why it making an appointment ... They were told at that time I wanted to have him cremated and get his ashes back . All Monday rolls around and we go for Butters appointment. I go in first , once again explain i am there to get Butters put to sleep and that I wanted his ashes back . We discussed the cedar box he would come back in. How I wanted his name to read on the box. I was supposed to get his paw print back also .. I paid for everything before I even got Butters out of the car . I hugged and kissed him and told him I loved him as he left our world .. It was heartbreaking leaving him there . I made it through just knowing he would be home soon. I woke up with a bad feeling since I have yet to hear from the vets office so I called them . The first two times I called I was put on hold only to be hung up on. Over the next couple hours I called back . Each time I was left in hold until I was angry and hung up . I finally had a melt down on the phone and told if I didn't get an answer now I would be coming to their office and I was going to make a scene since they have given me the run around all day ... I talked to some one who said the actual vet and owner , W.N. Heater , would call me back . Finally about 4:30 today the vet , Mr Hester , called me . He too could not actually tell me what happened to my Butters . He surmised that my Butters was thrown in with the community cremation I feel like they discarded my dog , my baby for almost 16 years , like a piece of trash . They of course refunded my money but never once apologized for being such a disorganized and careless vets office. I feel like I lost a member of my family .
