I recently visited Moe's to possibly purchase a car advertised for sale. I emailed the owner to…read moreverify the vehicle was available for test drive before driving 45mins out. He said yes. Upon arrival I noticed the vehicle was much more damaged than they told me. A man came out to greet me and I informed him I had emailed the owner, the man claimed it was his "brother." I asked if I could test drive, he said not a good idea. I asked why, he said well... the radiator is possibly leaking and possibly oil too and that there was undercarriage damage. Obviously the car was not in shape to drive at all. The man said, well we dont have confirmation of the radiator or the oil leak - some "customer" claimed it did and that he had the car running for an hour with no problems. I asked if he ordered parts to fix it since it's listed for sale, he said no. Said we could take it down the road about 10mins down and come back, but not allowed to take it on the highway. We took it down the road maybe 5 miles before we noticed the car was pulling to the right, we pulled over to turn around and come back. check engine light immediately came on "turn off engine, oil level too low." Pulled over, shut the car off for a few mins and noticed a bad smell and it was leaking oil. We could see the oil dripping. Turned the car back on to drive back and the light came back on with a coolant smell. drove the car with hazards back on. Made it back to the lot, i looked under the car to see why it was pulling to the right and there was obvious damage to the control arm. (damage not told about) Just to be clear, this vehicle is for sale online does not mention radiator leak, oil leak, or steering problems. I emailed the owner before coming out. This is not just a car lot, it's a mechanic shop too which common sense would tell me they know how to fix cars, right? We never met or saw this "brother" Either this mechanic shop doesn't know how to properly fix and diagnose vehicles, or they are purposely misleading and lying to consumers. Beware of this shop. I couldn't get an honest answer about anything from this guy. Super shady. Stay away!!!!!

recently My husband and I purchased a car from there for $4500 dollars safety included and taxes…read moreincluded a Mazda 3 which after signing the bill of sale my insurance company told ME the car is NOT insurable!! It had been in a major collision with extensive damage to the front end and back end!! It is deemed as a right off. Oh, we never met MOE at all either!! It was some other grease monkey that met us there. I demanded my money back and they gave it back to Me no hassles no problem... So obviously they are not a reputable company. You go there and there is no office to sign papers in we did it on the hood of the vehicle. I know I should have read the contract before signing but he was so pushy to get a signature all he said is everything is good all we need to do is the safety it and change it over to Me!! So I signed not reading the fine print this car was actually rebuilt!! Well, we got our money back and I would never recommend this garage or car sales to anyone!! BUYER BEWARE!!

It was a no pressure purchase, with him allowing us to decide what we wanted and needed. It was a stress free experience. We highly recommend Ottawa Honda for a purchase, and Alex in particular as a salesman. We would definitely purchase through him in the future. We are very pleased with the Hybrid. The gas mileage has exceeded the industry average and it drives lives like a dream. T & E Janes

Avoid at all costs, their service department will scam you. Estimate: $140; Invoice: $423. Shady…read morebusiness practices and disrespectful staff. Have used them many times with mediocre service, but will never return after latest fiasco. Scam: Dropped my car off for an oil change. Asked that they look at the AC and see why it's intermittently shutting off. The staff member said "Sure" and didn't mention any price, so I assumed they'd call me once they looked at it and diagnosed. Even my written estimate read "A/C Price $- , Inspect and Report". Got a call to pick up my car and am shocked to learn they charged me $271 to put some dye in the AC system to help find a leak (it's not even fixed!). Disrespectful Staff: When I was shocked by the $271 extra charge I said "Jeez!" and was met with a very defensive staff member, "I would have warned you about that when you dropped it off. I'm normally very good at warning customers. It can be anywhere from $200-$500 for an AC repair." What!? I'm sorry, but you didn't warn me, because I'm not signing you a blank cheque for up to $500. Called the manager, he gave me the same shtick, "He would've warned you about the AC charge, he's normally really good at that". I have two staff members now essentially gaslightling me that I approved a $271 AC charge. I'm frugal, for $271 I'm driving with the windows down. "I'm sorry, I was not warned of any charge for the AC, I read 'inspect and report' on the estimate and assumed that that is what you would do". "I'll talk to the staff serving you, but I'm almost positive he would have warned you." Unresponsive manager: The manager, Marc Houle, said he'd check with his staff and call back. That was 1 month ago. I've sent two follow up emails, and called 8 times this week and I've received no response. I think he believes if he ignores me long enough I'll give up. I'm filing complaints with the BBB and Ministry of Public and Business Service Delivery today.
