EMC paving is awful! Destroyed my property. Had to work months to get them to come back to replace the driveway they did for me in April , but never had it done because once they showed up the owner's son-in-law, Patrick did nothing but scream and yell and curse in my face saying the reason why they did such a shitty job was my husband and my fault? Crazy what a nut job! I had to call the Police and have him removed from my property. There was no way that I was going to have somebody like that on my property. Also, he said he was going to do the best that he could and I needed for him to redo the job, right! After they ripped out my Driveway back in April, they said they could not guarantee that they would be able to pitch the Driveway correctly if I didn't have pavers put in for an extra $3000 thinking I was dealing with professionals I agreed to the extra cost. Well, my Driveway pools water because it is not pitch properly -there are 2 lines from the roller that goes down the center of the driveway that I was told would settle by Patrick- also my grandkids if they leave their bicycles in the driveway, their bicycle kick stands sink into the black top! My Driveway is literally sinking in areas. I had a professional come out and look at the Driveway and they stated that it wasn't compacted properly. Also, they cracked siding and trim on my house .. These guys are absolutely the worst! Their three year contract means nothing. They are rude, bullies, unprofessional, and do sloppy work.!! read more

I really wish that I could offer a 5-star review. Their quote process and pricing was excellent and the work was overall beautiful... with a few exceptions... The sand that they installed in my pavers all fell out, they didn't repair a crack in my stairs and 2 weeks after they finished their work, the concrete near my garage is cracked. My driveway also has weird stains on it. I have attempted to reach out to them numerous times, and was only successful once. I was told someone would come by to fix the work, but not only did no one show, no one called to reschedule. I am hoping that they will correct their work so that I can offer them a better review. read more

They paved my driveway. Didn't pitch it right so water pools in large amounts throughout the driveway. He was supposed to use our Belgian blocks to frame the driveway and then said he couldn't. Patrick said he would come and check the driveway after it rained to see what was going on. After not showing up, I called and he pretended to be someone else when I called him. This company is so unprofessional. I dealt with John for most of the process. My job was suppose to be complete new asphalt driveway, belgium blocks along the gate in my yard and drainage. This was all on the proposal. On June 1st he started the rip out of the old asphalt which was incomplete before he dumped large recycled concrete pieces in the driveway. Leftover cement from my neighbors foundation repair was dumped in my driveway leaving clumps of cement. I didn't see a worker again until Monday June 7th and they were working on my neighbors driveway. I called John and asked him for a finish date and he told me that he was short handed and that his workers were out drinking the night before. I say to him that I would never tell a customer that and he says to me that he was telling it like it is and that they would be there Tuesday June 8th. The night before I was told about the son Patrick and I told the person, I didn't know who Patrick was. The next morning Patrick shows up and I introduce myself and began to show him my concerns. 1.) The sidewalk near the apron was suppose to slant for the water roll off, it was not installed properly. 2.) The pile of cement thrown in my driveway and Patrick says "oh it's strong foundation. 3.) The truck scraped two of the uthdriveway gate post. I didn't ask for a new post but I did ask for a buff out and maybe some paint. 4.) The drainage. Patrick tells me that he doesn't know about any drainage being done and I tell him "it's right here on the proposal. Patrick then says talk to my father and yells to his father "this lady has issues". I respond for him to address me by my name as I did him. He turns and ask me if I was stupid or something and an argument incites. Patrick then calls me a hairy B*@!* and instructs his workers to pull the equipment from my yard and that he was not going to finish the job. I call the police who informs John and his son that this is a civil matter and they can't come back on the property. John is now pleading with me in front of the cops to finish but that he's not going to do any drainage. Why would I allow him if there would be no drainage and the fact that he had nothing to say how his son berated me at 7:30 am so disrespectfully. On this same day, I went out later and John is ringing my bell at 4:10pm for money. Today Saturday 6/12/21, John rode pass in his company truck stops in front of my house, holding up traffic and shouting profanity from the truck and how he's going to sue because I have another company here. They were here to clean up his mess so that they could properly do the job. He then pulls over and jumps out the truck and proceeds to walk to the foot of my driveway making argument. I told him that he wasn't suppose to be here and that I would see him in court. I called the police and while I'm waiting, he aggressively comes up my driveway talking about what he's going to rip out and that it's not over. My neighbor to the right intervened and asked him to pipe it down and my neighbor across the street is screaming as he walks aggressively towards me to get of the property. John's response was " I ain't going nowhere". When the police arrives and hears both sides, John is told it's a civil matter and that he can't come back on the property. Camera's don't lie and I will definitely be going to court. I would never recommend this company to anyone. Because his son reneged on finishing the job and causing me a huge inconvenience, I now have to come extra out of pocket for this job to be done. Let me tell you my horror story. I had gotten an estimate from John for driveway, wall, and steps. I had asked for the estimates in writing. It took a month of follow up for me to get this info. During that time I hired someone else to do the wall and steps. When John showed up to do the driveway he was upset I used someone else for the other work. He could have asked me why before he showed up instead of showing his emotions that day. He had no physical contract to sign before starting work so I said I'd print and adjust the old one. Red flag. There were so many red flags that I should have stopped the work. In the end, my driveway is made of poor quality asphalt. They measured wrong for asphalt and did not finish a corner. They spent 3 hours getting more asphalt for the corner so now I have a SCAR on my brand new driveway that I have to look at every day.There Is a clear distinction between the corner asphalt vs the rest. I've contacted them with my dissatisfaction and asked for 30% back and they have not responded. 3 yr warranty is BS. I am writing this review hoping to save others from this dissatisfaction. Thank you to John and his crew for being so kind to my husband and me. They were doing a driveway job in our neighborhood and stopped by to say that they had extra asphalt. They asked my husband if he was interested in having a portion of our driveway done. (our driveway was in horrible condition). My husband explained that he was interested, but that he has been very ill this past year and didn't know if he can do this. John said not to worry and that he would donate the material and time to help us! He and his crew installed the material on the lower half of our driveway and it is simply beautiful!! So disappointed with EMC Paving. They replaced my driveway in October 2017. Over the winter, white stains developed that could not be removed. The stains lasted through the spring and did not wear away and did not wash off. They had no idea as to the cause and had no solution. With no other ideas to offer, EMC offered to seal the driveway to cover the stains. They arrived and did no prep work at all. Nothing was taped, covered, or protected from the sealer. When the job was complete, there was sealer spilled & splashed on my paver blocks, on my house, in my garage, on items inside my garage, etc. I asked for them to come back and clean it up, however they returned and only cleaned a small area. When I questioned them again, they did not offer to return and clean any further. An email and a conversation with them describing my dissatisfaction produced no action on their part. So I am left with my driveway that is only 10 months old, but looks 10 years old. I am very disappointed in the final results and can not recommend EMC to any of our neighbors or friends. read more
