Groomer was super knowledgeable and knew exactly what she was doing. She kept me updated the whole time and didn't turn my dog down because he was matted. I originally went to get him groomed in petsmart but was turned down after bringing the dog there. I can definitely appreciate a groomer whose more experienced anyways. Joanne may very well have no idea of he difference she made in my life today. I left a vm yesterday and despite struggling with her own sick pup, she was a professional that responded and showed up for me when I needed her the most. I threw out my back and had been unable to groom my Havanese. He was matted and had to be excluded from my bed due to a funky smell and general dirtiness. She showed up within the time period she said she would and, despite me being incapacitated on my back in my bed, she showed nothing but respect, compassion and a nonjudgmental get-the-job-done attitude. I will always be grateful for her willingness to come through for me on such short notice and under difficult personal circumstances. She is wonderful. My puppy is happily sleeping at my feet and much more calm and well-loved. Her experience and excellence speak for themselves. I don't know why the one person posted the nasty email exchange but whatever that was about, I feel confident that Joanne has handled herself and her business with dignity and integrity since then. Yes, he is a poodle, but poufs make him embarrassed. Even the faintest hint of a pouf will be hacked off by the hubby within minutes of the dog's return from the groomer. Groomers have a hard time listening to that. They think that shearing the poodle's coat off is lunacy. Maybe they think we're trying to insult their profession. I really don't know. K-9 Mobile Dog Grooming actually listened to the hubby's request and executed the plan perfectly! Joanne is pretty much a one-woman show. According to her business card, she's got 25 years experience. Her van is outfitted with mobile dog grooming equipment, bathing facilities, the works. She gave us a two hour window for her ETA and made it to our house well within that time. One thing to keep in mind, she needs a level spot to park the van in order to have proper drainage of the tub. The best thing about Joanne was that she was responsive to our requests. The dog looks great and the poodle seems happy with his haircut. We'll be using this service in the future for sure! read more

Joanne has been grooming our dog Louie for a couple years. Prior to that, we had a terrible time getting his nails clips. No one could do it, and we had to take him to our vet and sedate him every couple of months to do it! Joanne has been able to calm him down enough over the course of time and accomplish this now without him getting really worked up. She does a great job, and always arrives in the window of time she gives us. I would recommend her to anyone who does not want to put their dog through going to a groomer and being kenneled for who knows how long before they get to him. read more

Kathy did a excellent job all the things I requested short smooth nails since mom is 90 yrs old and 1/2 hair. When I returned with buddy mom was excited about how beautiful he looked. I used Joanne for several months. The first time she came she showed up ten minutes after the window. I gave her the benefit of the doubt as I was a new customer and she had never been here. She did great that appointment. My dogs looked adorable. I thought I had finally found my groomer. The next time she came she again came later than the expected window but I realize she's busy and I'm very easy going. The dogs seemed fine. So I scheduled another groom. She could either do three weeks which was too soon or 11 weeks which was too long but I needed her so I took the eleven weeks. She arrived to that appointment an hour late and my boys were not ok after that. My Yorkie has a collapsed trachea which she knew. He was fine the first two grooms but after this one, it took him two weeks to recover. She was sending me weird texts regarding how she's a perfectionist and therefore continued to groom when he very clearly was too stressed out. She should have stopped. Yet again I scheduled another groom because I cannot find anyone else and had medication for my Yorkie. I planned on telling her to stop as soon as he began coughing. I became extremely ill and needed to cx that appointment. I had a kidney infection and was just released from the hospital. I couldn't have her come out that weekend so gave her ample notice. She requests 24 hours and my slot is 3-5 pm, her arriving after 5 every time. We cancelled around 4 as she said I could do. She then insisted on coming anyways and letting herself in. I was too ill to have anyone in my home so I tried to reschedule. She then suggested I keep them on schedule for their next appointment on July 9 and not to use other groomers giving my Yorkies health conditions. I responded on June 9th (two days later) and said I would wait it out for her despite my dogs now having to go another month. I give people the benefit of the doubt. I work in health care so I'm compassionate and overly forgiving. She never responded to my June 9th text which was sent so we could lock in those dates. I sent her a text this Saturday request ion verification for July 9. I have two texts saying they were on the schedule for July 9th but my gut told me to check. No response. I sent a panicked text last night begging for verification. Today, while at work which is direct patient care, she sent multiple texts saying that date wasn't available any longer. I was shocked!!! How could this be? I reminded her of the June 9th text she never responded too. Her come back, "how can I respond to a text I didn't get?", then she sends a picture of that very text saying this was the last she heard from me but she didn't include the last line which was my request for her to contact me. Then she says I never submitted the $85 holding fee because I cancelled in short notice and ruined her work day. I was flabbergasted. I pleaded with her. I said my dogs are suffering! I've been a great client. I tip generously and never complain when she's late. Then she turned nasty and said she was blocking any further communication! This is ludicrous! Do not use this woman! She does not know how to run her business. She forgets, make things up and tries to put it on the client. Her van is not sanitary. She's unprofessional. And I'm left high and dry because she would not work with me. I said my dogs are miserable. Please help us! But instead she blocked me. I never got nasty. I was desperate. And she knows my boys are now two months behind. I was shocked at her behavior today. I do not recommend this woman. She's very unorganized and too difficult to work with. She's always late, she doesn't respond to texts in a timely manner, changes her business policy day to day and goes too far with dogs and pushes them past their comfort level. FYI, this is second negative review I've ever written on Yelp. It takes a lot to push me to my limit. read more

All I can say is she is amazing. We have a Boston terrier/French bulldog and a little Yorky. Every time we take the Yorky for a haircut she's very thorough and will send you a picture before she's finished to make sure there's anything you would like to have changed. Every time he comes home he looks adorable. My mom and I are very happy. My little Boston terrier has a unique issue where she must have her anal glands released every 3 to 4 weeks. It's been challenging, because it stinks, but she is able to help with that issue by doing the glands and we always take them to have their nails clipped as well. She has never treated our dogs poorly. My dog is like my child and I completely trust her with them. And also, What dog isn't afraid to get their haircut. They always leave happy though. I am also impressed with the fantastic communication and friendly attitude I am always welcomed with. She has a lifetime pair of clients in us. read more

I have read these reviews and wonder who they are talking about. I've used Joanne as my dogs groomer for the last 12 years. I've always made sure to send the deposit payment to her prior to my appointment date to be sure to hold my dogs grooming spot. With her grooming experience and the beautiful job she does I'm sure she is in high demand and books up quickly. So good business sense to have a deposit to hold the spot. Just like holding a plane reservation. Otherwise tge planes fill up quickly. Or a really good and busy restaurant that takes reservations. As to cleanliness of her van, it is her work station and she is bathing and clipping fur and nails of dogs so I'm sure it is cleaned as best as possible between dogs and then cleansed at the end of the day. Common sense tells me this would be true of any van in a mobile grooming business. She has always handled my geriatric dog with love and care getting into and out of the van by picking her up in front and then picking up her back end to help her into the van. My dog always feels better afterwards and has never had any issues after Joanne has handled her. And if a person felt badly treated why would you continue to use that business? That doesn't make sense to me. If I get bad service somewhere I don't go back for more bad service. So it seems to me that there may be sour grapes by some people or something. I've never heard a bad word out of her mouth in person, text or email. She has always been courteous and professional. I will use her as my groomer as long as I have dogs and as long as she continues to groom. read more

I was not at all pleased with the services provided by K-9 Express. Yes, she did give us a window of when she would be arriving, but it was 4 minutes before the deadline. She did not call to let us know if she was on her way or anything. I did explain to her that my little poodle was rescued from a puppy mill and needed grooming to ensure she did not get any infections. When she brought my poodle back up to me, my puppy just ran to her bed and slept. Of which my little one is VERY active. Then as I got to look at her haircut more, it looked like it was done by a weed wacker. Her hair was not even, there were spots, like right along her muzzle that were missed. So now she has tufts of hair left on her face that make her look rather silly. And the price was outrageous! She was just grooming a 3 pound puppy and still wanted us to pay $75 for it, even though she used our electricity to power her business. Overall I am very disappointed in the service provided by this company, and will certainly never subject my little girl to that again. read more
