I needed to take my puppy in for a good nail trim and during my research, I discovered Paws In The Park. Roy was our nail trimmer/pawdecurist today. Roy was absolutely amazing and very gentle with my nervous Frenchie. Roy did an amazing job and even let me stay with my Puppy throughout the process. We definitely will be returning to see Roy. After the nail trim, I ended up buying some things from the store. The cashier was absolutely wonderful, and helped me pick out a great harness for my puppy. read more

We always enjoy coming here for the grooming service and the supplies selection. They really have a great amount of supplies for pets including clothing, large and small-size food, organic-type food, some over-the-counter meds and also accessories. Well I used to take my baby there but a couple off times I was called to move my appointment so I stopped taking her because asked to change hr or a 30minutes change is my schedule. So, the other days I decided to give them another chance so I asked for a hygie cut my dog came back home with a bleid burn above her tail took a picture and let the manager know she asked me to take her back because the picture was blurry I couldn't get there due to my illness. So, I called to make an appointment. And I didn't took her name but she started saying what happened before and because i said no the schedule those appointments that I had and then she was really rude. I said no more no more bye I don't wanna deal with you. really you're not the only one that has a grooming business and for me to choose you it was for other reasons disrespecting me acting like a child and hanging up, saying no more like that not good for business you acted like a spoiled brat that's why I took the time to complain about you and you know who you all over your face when you walk and you think you're better than anybody it took time for me to put this in words because I'm not like you, but I still have to be You should've been bringing that up when I asked for the appointment for the hygiene for Piper not after the fact because you couldn't or you didn't want to because you're better get a group of yourself and act like a business woman not a spoiled brat. read more

Pretty disappointed with our visit here. We usually take our 25 lb corgi to Soggy Doggy for nail trims but were told they were busy today after calling in. So, just down the road is this place and I figured I'd give it a try. There were about 4 staff working (one front desk, three grooming) and none of them had masks on. I was shocked that they had no concern for COVID protocol. This was immediately concerning but because we we're already there, I decided to stay for the service. They were able to get us in fairly quickly which was a pro. I let the staff member know my dog does not like nail trims but she's never bit anyone. Typically I've gone back with her but felt uncomfortable doing so with everyone maskless. When she was done, the woman let me know they put my dog in a cone to trim her nails. She said she wanted to assure she didn't bite her. Again, she had never bitten anyone, and is a very small dog. My dog is scared of cones (when she was spayed, we had to use a surgery suit) and I would have rather gone back had I know they were going to put her in one. I paid and purchased a couple no rawhide chews - everything was standard price ($15 for trim and dremel, $6 each for the chews) but noticed some things, like wipes and shampoo, we're overpriced. When we got home, I looked at my pup's nails and one of them looks like it was slightly nicked. No wonder she'd been sulking since she got in the car for our drive home! I acknowledge her nails were long, but I'd rather have someone leave a little extra nail on than overdo it and scare my dog. I won't be recommending this place unfortunately. I'd rather go to Soggy Doggy down the road. read more

Ramona is amazing!!! I was pretty stressed because my pup was turned away from his first grooming appointment (different business...they required a bordatella vaccine). We had made the appointment over a month ago and I'm finding that most groomers have a very busy schedule. I called several places and each had a wait list and no openings in weeks. Well, I finally called paws in the park, and Ramona told me to come in whenever I could, and she would try to take care of me. And she kept her word! People. There is a state wide mask mandate and a huge surge in COVID cases around the world with omicron raging. Paws in the Park DOES NOT ENFORCE MASK WEARING. Half their customers weren't wearing masks. Their employees were blatantly not wearing masks also. Not even a performative wearing of masks under their noses and chins! ‍ let me attach an infographic about how rapid the virus can transmit with and without masks. You decide what you wanna do. Dog grooming-wise, my pup barely looked recognizable when I picked him up. It's not terrible, but definitely not what I wanted. Why go through the chore of asking me what I want? I'll attach photos of what I showed the groomer (flat head, short and round snout) versus what he looked like when he came out (80's buzz cut, long mustache and chin left intact - that area gets so much saliva and food smells stuck on it ). He cut puppo's nose bridge too much which at worse shows some patches of skin. If it were just the way puppo was groomed, I probably would have just silently gone to another groomer. But the blatant lack of safety protocols is upsetting man. You know there are cases of animals and house pets catching the virus right? read more

Julie, the owner, treats us like family and is always making our whole crew feel special - from our pooch to our kids. She and her whole team go above and beyond for their customers. Highly recommend Paws in the Park for all of your pet needs, from food to toys, special birthday treats and bedding - they have pretty much everything you could want, and if they don't stock it - Julie will help figure out how to get it, or suggest alternatives. They also have a full grooming suite, with amazing, compassionate groomers. Last but not least - the neighborhood community feel is unparalleled. They host a Christmas party complete with a photo shoot for your pets with Santa, and a neighborhood BBQ in the summer. They are open until 6pm during the pandemic. Romana gave me the tools, knowledge, and confidence to help me get my doggo to the best he's every looked! I had already been having a hell of a day with finding a last minute groomer (everything was booked months out) to a Petco appointment telling me they wouldn't take him in when I got there. Super nice and efficient staff. We only needed minor services done and unfortunately every salon was either booked until January, only accepted current clients, or did not do cat services! Our only saving grace was Paws in the Park, which accepted walk-ins and was quick to get us in (about five-ten minutes)! The lady that helped us was very nice and the legroom to wait was generous as the salon is built in the back of a small pet shop. While there was only one bench for waiting, there surprisingly wasn't many people at the store. She made sure of our services (nail and sanitary trimmings) and sat down to learn more about our cat before bringing her in. She cooed at my cat and got her comfortable before she started on the services. It's a gesture I really appreciated because our cat is very shy and hasn't been the best at taking trimmings. After the services, she mentioned that our cat's nails were not very long but refined them anyway as well as doing a nice trim for her sanitary area. After being sent on our way, we were confused because we didn't receive an invoice. Turns out, when we went to the counter, that she provided our services at no cost. Really awesome place. read more

I've brought my long-haired cat here twice for a bath and grooming when my regular groomer had an injury and referred me here. The first time I picked him up and he smelled good but didn't look much different. The second time I dropped him off, I found out that at the previous visit, they hadn't actually bathed him, but had given him a "dry bath" -- essentially combed some dry shampoo through his fur and called it good. They hadn't bothered to tell me this when I picked up him, and went ahead and charged me full price anyway. The groomer commented about how well-behaved and sweet my cat was, so I was surprised when I went up to the front to pay and the owner jokingly referred to him as a "little sh*t". I guess she's more of a dog person? Still a pretty inappropriate way to refer to a pet who's been entrusted to your care by a customer who's money you're gladly taking for questionably fulfilled services. The second time I brought him in, I was told that they would try to give him a wet bath, but if he didn't want to go in the water, they would do a dry shampoo again. I wasn't thrilled about this, but went along with it, and sure enough, when I picked him up, no wet bath. They said they had given him a good brushing, but when I got him home I found mats all throughout his undercoat. Again, he smelled good, but hadn't been given a proper bath, let alone a brushing worth packing him in the car for or spending any money on. Next time we're going back to our old groomer - the higher price and longer drive are well worth my cat being cleaned up beautifully and treated with respect. read more

They were extremely rude, did a poor job, and were unwilling to work with my puppy, instead calling her out of control because she excitement barks (when other dogs are barking and running around and she wants to join them) during her very first time at a groomer. They came out of the gate asking if she was aggressive (not at all), told me it took 4 people to trim her nails in a lift (it typically takes 1 at home, the vet, and daycare), and told me they couldn't even finish. Also spouted some "head dog" alpha bullcrap and refused to understand that when a dog is over threshhold, they don't learn anything. If you want an experience that is more than trying to pump pets through for cash, DO NOT GO HERE. read more

They are very friendly here and had my dog (3.yo Pomeranian) groomed there several times over the past few months. While I didn't have a poor experience, I recently found out from her new groomer that her undercoat was damaged by previous grooms she had at Paws in the Park. I had been very specific with the groomer with Paws in the Park about my instructions to not damage her undercoat (because Often times it doesn't grow back the same or at all) The last time I called to book an appointment i had to play phone tag several times and never did end up booking an appointment because i didn't get a call back after my last voicemail. read more

This is not a good groomer. I had my miniture Schnawzer groomed there multiple times because it was close to my house but the hair cuts were inconsistant and not good. My dog came back with no eye brows and beard which is a significant trade mark of the breed. The staff just doesn't care about the dogs or customer relations. read more

I've been a customer for 5 years for food and toys and have used the grooming services for my frenchie for 2 years. Julie and Shira are the best (sorry if I didn't spell the names right), all the staff have been kind and helpful. They usually have the dog food I needed for my sensitive stomach boxer and fenchie and if not, they would make sure I knew when the food would be coming. When I went through chemo my dad had to do the shopping for me for several months and they were great to him as well. We all love this place.! My pups loved all the toys we got there and Julie even was able to search for and find a toy my pup destroyed that we wanted to replace! Sadly I lost my boxer in 2020 and this past December my frenchie Roxy passed away so we no longer get to visit every few weeks for fancy new bandanas and grooming or a quick visit over dog food and toys. My dog went nuts about her new bandana every time! They took great care of her even though she was hard to handle for nail trims. She had two wonky nails that curled back into her paws regularly, and they were always able to handle it. They have been kind and great with me for 5 years solid and I was in about every 3-5 weeks either for food or grooming. All the staff there have been amazing. I highly recommend them. I miss being a regular now that my pups are gone but I can't say enough wonderful things about them! People social distance in the store, the place is clean, and when the weather is decent the doors are open. I have been in treatment for stage 3 cancer for 2 years and I never caught covid or felt uncomfortable in the store. This place is great! read more

All I can say is I am absolutely floored with how incredible the service is and how absolutely amazing the staff is. 10 out of 10 recommend. I have been searching for a groomer for my Norwegian forest cat, she is VERY fluffy and requires regular grooming. After trying a different groomer in Burien (which was a horrible experience for both myself and my cat) I heard about Paws in the Park and thought I would give them a try. I gave them a call and left a message, to which they called me back the next day, they asked questions of what I needed done - in this instance I just needed a sanitary shave for my little girl and they told me I could walk-in during their hours. I was nervous at first, as my cat Kleio gets stressed very easily and her previous experiences at other groomers left her scarred. To my absolute pleasant surprise we were in and out in less than 10 minutes! Kleio is perfectly groomed as I asked and I will never take her anywhere else. If you are nervous or searching for a place to bring your fur baby, look nowhere else, this is the place! I will be buying all of my animal supplies from here moving forward as well. I am a new owner of an adopted Pomeranian. First time having a dog that needs grooming. Three bad experiences here. July 3 they sent him home without his collar and tag. Then although I was tipping $10 they wanted to raise price another ten dollars. Last trip. New groomer shaved around his butt about an inch and that was all. $65. And when we got home he puked up a LARGE amount of dog food. Not his. Glad we made it home and it wasn't in my car. Also they don't require proof of up to date shots. Too bad. read more

I originally went there because our puppy shook out of fear when we bathed her. My friend explained that her dog used to be so scared too, but since they started coming to Paws in the Park, he comes bounding in with tail wagging for his bath. The owners are awesome! My senior Persian Oscar has visited Paws in the Park for grooming several times and they've done a very nice job. Plus, he isn't the easiest! I moved to Lynnwood and recently saw a groomer here. What a nightmare. Now that his wounds have healed I'll be making the drive from Lynnwood to Normandy Park. Paws in the Park is absolutely worth it. I've noticed several reviews that aren't complementary and all I can say is people are more likely to complain than praise on these platforms.
