I can't believe I haven't written a review yet! Most loving dog owners know how hard it is to find a grooming salon you can truly trust. I found K9 Grooming through Yelp and I'm so glad I did. We drive 30 minutes to get here and I won't lie, the salon is pricey. It usually costs me around $300 with trip for a standard Aussie and mini Aussie regular groom. But it is absolutely worth it. My dogs are my babies. We have a 6-year-old Aussie we've had since he was a puppy, and we recently added our rescue mini Aussie who is now 8. Our rescue has extreme anxiety from her past trauma, including living in a hoarding situation. The team here treats both of our dogs like family. I've never once worried about the way they're cared for. The salon is spotless. Anytime I walk into a grooming place that smells like urine or feces or is chaotic with constant barking, it's an instant red flag for me. K9 Grooming is completely different. It's clean, calm, and you can even watch your dogs being groomed so there's no mystery about how they're treated. Recently our neighbor warned us about fleas in the area, so I called K9 as a concerned pet mom. They were so helpful. They told me they'd start with a regular bath and, if they found any fleas, they'd do the treatment and call us so we could prep the house. Sure enough, they found a few a went forward with the flea bath. They provided me with helpful information and next steps. I sincerely appreciate the level of care, transparency, and customer service the staff provide. I could never take my dogs anywhere else after coming here. read more

We've been taking our girl Mila here for over 3 years now, and we truly couldn't be happier with the service. Australian shepherds have very thick double coats, she requires grooming at least every six weeks. From the front desk, all the way back to the groomers they're always so professional, and Mila is always so extremely eager and happy to go there; that says so much. I've had my fair share of very bad grooming experiences, with this very dog. K9 Design Grooming Salon has changed my perspective and Mila's perspective on grooming experiences. Everyone is so nice and they were absolutely rockstars taking care of my two doggies! Terra needs a de-shedding groom a few times a year. So looked and felt absolutely gorgeous after they finished! She was sleek and they got her under coat. I can always tell she feels good after a groom and she was such a happy girl! Rascal sees the groomer for a nail trim/grind and they did great with him! He's a bit anxious, but they listened to my guidance on what he likes (chin scratches, not head pets, and no butt pats from people he doesn't know). They even asked if I wanted to go back with him. I declined since he would be wiggly with me there. They got both their nails as short as safely possible. They also have a really cute selection for bandanas and collor decor! I got them both new Halloween bandanas. 100000% recommended. Will be bringing them both back for all their grooming needs. read more

Sooo so happy with Bella's haircut! I drive about an hour to come to this salon. They are really friendly here and clearly love dogs. The amount of care and detail that they put into each service is seriously unlike any other groomers I've been to. Bella is 14 and a bit of a princess. With age her hair has grown faster, the texture is different, she has a a bladder problem, she has a heart condition, and she just gets tired quicker. Leaving her anywhere makes me very nervous but here I feel like she gets treated really well. It's very important that we keep her nice and pretty and although I sometimes fail her, I bring her in every few weeks and k9 design goes above and beyond for her. I think a newer person worked on her this time and although she was worried bc Bella made it a bit difficult to do her under area, she came out looking like a little model! She looks so good! I love the cut, the length is perfect, and she managed to get rid of a problem skin tag near Bella's mouth that Bella would just not let me or a vet help with. I really appreciate their help and care with Bella. She's my child and K9 design understands that. My family brings all 4 of our dogs here now. We love it here! read more

Willow is a young and a bit anxious doggy, but K9 Design was able to make her feel comfortable and calm enough to do an outstanding job on her hair. We have tried other groomers, but each time she came back a mess and the excuse was because she was too nervous. This is the first time Willow came back looking perfect. K9 Design will absolutely become Willow's regular groomer. I was referred here by my neighborhood FB group and I'm so glad I gave it a try! I have two challenging doggos (a spicy chihuahua and a grumpy chiweenie) so they hadn't had their nails trimmed in way too long. This awesome staff let me hold them for comfort and patiently grinded their nails smooth. They gave a great haircut to my cookie. The only thing is that you make an appointment for a certain time and then you have to wait 6hrs for a haircut. This is the longest I've waited for a haircut and my dog didn't have any mats or knots. The haircut was great just took a bit long from 12pm-6pm. The other groomers really just didn't compare to K9 Design and grooming. After we took him to K9 Design and Grooming, I've learned that it takes someone whose really familiar with Bichon/poodle hair and it takes a long time to groom with scissors to get that specific show-like Bichon look. Gayle was amazing in giving us tips on what we can do at home to maintain our puppy's hair; and ways to work with him in getting comfortable staying still during his grooms in the salon. I can tell that all the groomers in this salon are very patient and work so well with their fury clients. I was extremely disappointed in this grooming salon. The first time I brought my 2lb puppy here they hardly did anything and charged me $65, they said it was for a puppy orientation. I figured i would try them again for my 2lb puppy, and asked if I could get the feet cut. They charged me $85 plus an extra $15 as i had asked for something specific, which i may point out was not done. I rest of the cut was just ok. But i will never go back. read more

I wish I could give this salon more stars because this gem of a place is amazing! Upon my miniature schnauzer puppy's very first appointment, the owners had given me a very detailed overview of what to expect and what their procedures were. I really appreciated the extra time they put into explaining all the details and even upon meeting the owner, she asked questions about my puppy to get a general understanding of what hygienic routines he's already used to at home. She listened very carefully on what specific look I wanted them to achieve and she talked about some of the products they used. I was already given an immediate impression that these people really care about their clients and their pets here, so I was confident that they would take great care of my puppy for a couple of hours. And they did! I was really pleased with their service, their friendliness, and level care for my puppy and they were careful to avoid cutting the fur around his ears the first time around since he moved quite bit. I came in recently for the 2nd visit and I was just blown away! I had e-mailed them a couple of photos to show them examples of how I wanted him to look and the groomer nailed it and totally transformed him! She followed the instructions very well and made sure not to cut his long eyelashes (which is my favorite feature on my schnauzer!), she kept the fur length long on his belly and legs, gave a neat trim on his back, his paws, and around his eyes which I can now see! She was also able to trim around his ears this time so I was surprised to see the fur around his ears neatly trimmed. I also loved the shampoo they used which smelled really good and made his fur feel smooth and silky without irritating his skin. I absolutely loved what she did and I was truly impressed! AND - they even gave him a beautiful handmade knit scarf/bandana! They also said they would keep a profile for him so that they'll know exactly how he'll be groomed next time so I wouldn't have to give the same specific instructions on the next visit. Talk about going above and beyond! I'm looking forward to coming back and bringing my puppy here again! I was so happy to see his transformation and how I can see his eyes again! When they arrived they were told to come back in a few hours which confused my partner because why would a nail trim take a few hours? We waited way too long to bring our poodle mix in for grooming. He had quite a bit of matting, and I expected them to have to shave him down. He also has major anxiety and trauma around groomers.
