Fantastic day out on the water with Captain Nicky. 5 of us went out today, caught our limit of redfish, and about 40 more for a busy day on the water!! Nick took us to multiple spots and handled everything. Provided ice for beer, instructions for rookies, help landing the fish, and plenty of photo opportunities! When we got back to the dock he filleted the the fish and got us on our way. He knew where to find fish, kept us busy the entire 4 hour trip... and he is a veteran... support good guys like this!! I hire guides almost every year- Keys, out West and even in Alaska. What matters most is their helpful attitude and work ethic. Captain Nicky worked hard today fighting cold wind, currents and helping these two teenage girls catch fish. He showed them how to cast, coached them on the bite and after we got tired from pulling in a haul, graciously offered to split the trip and take us out again the next day. If you've got youth or you want to go for more competitive game fish, this is your guy. Highly recommend him. read more

I really hate writing a bad review, but when it's warranted............ Boat was there on time.....but had to get gas & bait, pickup marina not open, so we head over to another marina, no problem but left 30min later than scheduled. We caught one catfish, but that's fishing....that's NOT what this is about. We sat at the first location for 30min, one bite, 'Capt Hunter' did very very little in the way of working the poles. We moved 2 more times, sitting for WAY longer than we should have with zero bites. We did catch one catfish...... I've fished many times all over the US......I've never had a Capt or deckhand who was less concerned about doing what a Capt or deckhand has done on every charter fishing boat I've ever been on! Hope this helps set the expectation of potential clients. Oh and btw........we were back at the dock at exactly 4hrs from our scheduled departure...........i.e. we lost 30min fishing due to an unprepared charter boat. read more

Completely unprepared for a fishing trip, they didn't have live bait which is A must to fish, 3 adults and 3 kids yet only 2 poles were ever in the water, nothing was ready for a fishing trip. Complete waste of money and time read more

Captain Nicky hooked us up! He was one of the only boats we could find that was "kid" friendly. Did a 4 hour trip & let my nephews get a taste of SaltWater Fishing. Alot of action on the rod & w/kids that's all you can ask for! Caught enough Black & Mingo snapper to feed our family of 16 that same night. Nicky knows fishing. Leave your freshwater techniques at the dock. Excellent front Office (Lauren) fixed us up with the "paperwork", texts, papyment etc.. Professional, very personable. He (Nicky) was patient with me and my daughter. Listen to his advice. If your catching live cigar fish catch as many as you can as fast as you can. Tell him if your tangled in knots. Ask if you don't understand. His boat, tackle are top notch. Loved the Sirrus, satellite radio music too. He'll adjust the volume too :).....Cleaning, bagging all taken care of at the dock. If you don't have a cooler you have it packaged ready to go. Take your GoPro camera. read more

Went out this morning with Captain Nicky and had a n awesome time. We are staying in FWB and thought we would do some fishing. Had a great time and was treated very well. These guys are great. We had originally scheduled a trip for Monday afternoon but due to weather we were called by Lauren well in advance to salvage the day! She rescheduled us for another time, it actually worked out better! I definitely would recommend an earlier trip. We sure will call Emerald Coast Outfitters next time we're in Destin! read more

My first deep sea fishing trip was a blast. Thanks so much, Nicki and Lauren. It was awesome. Caught a ton of fish. Mackerel, white snapper and some really cool looking vermillion something. He has a nice center console boat and knows where the fish are. Nicki gave my 15 year old step daughter a great day of fishing. He even let her drive his boat!! Dealing with Lauren on the phone was painless. You can sure tell that fishing is their full time job. They are pros. I'll definitely be looking this company back up in the near future. We fished the bay with Captain Scott. He was very knowledgeable and helped us with our bait and lines. Caught several fish in a short period of time. Our only difficulty was trying to learn to fish for saltwater fish and not freshwater fish as we are accustomed to. We would return to this business. read more

Captain Nickie was very impatient and did not explain well at all. I had my grandson with me and he did nothing to encourage or engage him. He struggled to stay on fish. I think it may have been because the trolling motor was broke. I didn't even get a pole although I paid for all of us to fish. Not impressed. read more

Nicky took us out on a very windy day this week and did all he could to get us on fish. On a day that most people wouldn't hit the water we still ended up catching many fish. Agree with another comment (leave your freshwater techniques at home), he will make sure you know your not bass fishing anymore!!! He was great with my 2 sons age 12 and 14. He knows the area extremely good after living his whole life on these waters. We will definitely use him again on our next trip to Destin! read more

Captain Nicky was great. My wife and I took our kids (7 and 10) and they had a great time. He was very good with the kids. We went straight from catching the fish to AJ's to eat some of them for lunch, very good. I would highly recommend ECO and Nicky. read more
