The 'can-do' attitude by every member of the team made the packing/moving experience as painless as humanly possible. Their interaction with our old and new neighbors, our old and new HOA boards, property managers and maintenance personnel was flawless. So many people asked us, "Who are these guys - where did you find them?" Several impressed people were writing down the phone number off of the side of the moving truck. They handled our antiques and collectible art with supreme care and caution, and it showed. Can you hire 'a couple of fellas and their van' for less? Sure, but as the saying goes, "The bitterness of poor quality remains long after the sweetness of low price is forgotten." I learned this the hard way from previous moves. The damage to your belongings incurred by bargain movers is far greater than the price difference. From the first call to the empty truck pulling away after unloading an entire house in the shortest time and everything placed where we requested. From the owner that listened to my huge problem with PODS to offering the pod to be dropped at his business to saying don't worry from when it arrives we will work you in and you won't have any more worries. That couldn't be a more accurate statement 100%. From the guys keeping me in the loop unloading the pod to delivery (at two different places) taking excellent care and handling of my items and placing right where I wanted. I have used a lot of moving companies in my 66 years and Emerald Moving and Storage is the best by a landslide at what they do, kind people and considerate of your items and very well mannered. We initially considered moving ourselves to save money, but I'm so glad we didn't. We hired Tim Barkley's company twice in the past three months after relocating here from Colorado. Our belongings initially had to be stored upon arriving here while we awaited the completion of our home build. Our CO mover was negligent in securing our personal items for the long-distance transport, and the crew from Emerald Moving & Storage had an unexpected, unstable mess to unload and place in storage. They were professional, patient and empathetic throughout the process. I contacted Tim three months later to move the items out of storage and into our new home. We worked very collaboratively together to ensure that they would not be held responsible for the damages that occurred on the original transport. Tim's crew was very patient while we reviewed items, including unwrapping/rewrapping many large items to check for potential damage. I've moved several times & using movers. Unfortunately, I have been anywhere from horrified to just disappointed with the service. However, when I came to Miramar Beach to help my Mom move not only from where she lived, but also things out of 2 storage units, I went searching for movers in THIS Area. Tim was very helpful setting up my move. I had an odd request where i needed help getting 36 boxes (2 platform beds and 1 bunk bed), that were dropped off by a delivery truck, carried into my home and then unpacked in the appropriate bedroom and then each bed assembled. He sent Paul and Devin and they were on time, very professional, and so helpful moving all those boxes and then assembling the beds. Very hardworking guys! read more

These guys were unbelievable at moving our furniture, they were very upbeat as they did almost the impossible getting the large furniture pieces into our condo. These guys worked tirelessly! They never complained and worked until everything was loaded in the truck from the storage facility and then drove to our computer condo and unloaded it all, set up the beds, took the trash away and made sure there wasn't anything else I needed them to do.
