I highly recommend PMS. I was in a bind trying to find movers to unload heavy equipment into my business. I had an excellent recommendation on their services and really wanted them to do the job. The guys were pleasant and hard working and arrived on time and got the job done quickly and efficiently. Being a Holiday weekend it was a bit complicated to get the time and details done. PMS was recommended by our Realtor. They gave a quote for by the hour rate and showed up on time ready to work. Our movers (Jesse and Q) did a outstanding job relocating our home. I would recommend using them. We packed all of our stuff prior to them showing up, so all they did was load, transport, and unload. I would recommend using them in the future. read more

Very disappointed in the communication, and attitude of this business during a military move. The staff are very unapologetic when an error occurs. The staff are not very communicative to the customers that utilize the service. Robert can be a loose cannon and is argumentative at times. The company is quick to "blame" other members of its team in order to make face. I would not recommend this company to others. read more

I regret using this company in 15th of dec. They are fraud. They lied about the amount we were to pay, showed up late, made us sign a paper because they knew we had no choice, sent lazy people to do the moving and ended up charging us twice the amount because we had sign the paper. We asked the movers to explain the paper before signing and they refused. After moving our things into the truck they decided to explain the hidden clause that they had refused to explain earlier thereby charging twice. We had no choice but to pay extra $700. Also in the new house, they moved all stuff downstairs, saying they will move them upstairs after packing them out of the truck. As soon as they put the last item on the floor they entered their truck and zoomed off. We had to pay another movers to move the heavy stuff upstairs. It was the worst experience ever. read more

THE WORST EXPERIENCE OF MY LIFE! DO NOT use this company. Where do I even begin? On moving day, they ran 3 hours behind due to a flat tire, which wasn't their fault, but in order to resolve the issue the owner insisted that I add another guy for $15/hr so they can speed the process up since THEY were running behind. Not only did he expect me to pay more per hour on their behalf, but he also misquoted me over the phone initially. Once the 3 guys, suppose to be only 2, showed up to move me out of my apartment they informed me that they couldn't move me because there was way more stuff than what was quoted. They told me that it was going to take them 8 HOURS and there wasn't enough time left in the day! The 3 guys were very sincere and apologetic but couldn't do anything about it because it was the owner's fault and he refused to fix it! I called the owner, Robert Herbert, and expressed to him my concerns and frustrations because I was left empty handed with a full apartment and had to be out in 2 days otherwise I'd be penalized by my apartment complex. He REFUSED to take responsibility of his mistakes (misquoting me over the phone, not correctly writing everything I told him I had down, scheduling me midday after multiple prior moves, and telling me I had to pay for an extra guy because THEY were late!) He also cut me off while I was talking, yelled at me, told me I was "misleading", and HUNG UP ON ME! THIS COMPANY IS UNPROFESSIONAL, UNRELIABLE, AND LACKS CUSTOMER SERVICE. Do yourself a favor and DO NOT USE THEM. You'll be happy that you didn't. As for me, I'm left stranded. :( P.S. I wouldn't even give them 1 star. They deserve a BIG FAT ZERO! Their slogan is "Attitude is Everything" well....Robert Herbert needs a HUGE ATTITUDE ADJUSTMENT or his business will feel the repercussions of his poor business practices. read more

I used this service back in November of 2011. I'm giving this a low rating because I was given a price and then the guy later on suggested adding another truck to speed it along since it had already taken them all day to pack our belongings. He didn't say anything about doubling our price! Also, when one of the trucks tried to steal our SUP board right in front of my face! The estate sale company coordinated with Robert (owner) to move a piano. They were an hour late, and he sent 3 young guys. PMS did not ask any questions about delivery, it was all done via texts. There are 11 wide steps because the house is on stilts. The 3 young guys could not lift the piano. The dolly they were using had 4 positions to lift it. Two kids on one side and one on the other. The one obviously wasn't strong enough to lift half of a 400-500 pound piano by himself. He should have known he needed to send 4 guys. They gave me the option to set it up in my garage or take it back to the empty house where the estate sale was and leave it outside in the rain on the porch! I called Robert and of course he was nasty. He told me "You don't want to mess with me!" I now have a baby grand piano in a humid, unconditioned garage and need to hire another mover. In addition, they cracked the wood above the keys on a 1942 baby grand. read more

This is in response to Robert Heberts message to my husband Ty. The reason that nobody was at the house at 4 pm was because we had to do our walk through on our new house at that time. That's why we made it crystal clear that we needed the movers to be at our house at promptly 2PM. That way we can begin unloading after our walk through around 4:30 PM. I am not going to rearrange my Saturday to accommodate your mess. I can't drag 3 small children to a halfway empty house, and chase them around while your guys load the things that should have been loaded in the first place the night before. I can assure you had I been there with my 3 kids anyway, we would have been in the way. They're very very young. I sat at my old house waiting on your team for 2 hours and you blatantly lied in your response to my husband. You did not call and let us know you were running late. We had to call & text message you more than once. And when you did reply an hour later you did so by text. You said "they're finishing up the current job, they will be on the way shortly" or something to that effect. It isn't our fault that your team ran behind. Again, we made it clear we needed movers unloading at 4 pm. I had baby gates, baby beds etc that I clearly cannot put in a car and move myself - hence why we hired you guys! I needed that stuff as soon as my walk through was over. If you "can't guarantee a time that your team will be there" how do you expect to have clients? I have never heard of movers not be able to pin point an arrival time. Who could operate that way? And the fact of the matter is, you DID tell us 2 pm! If it was just me, no biggie, I would go lay on the beach and wait for your team to finish up their previous job, gladly! But I have 3 children and I was left chasing them around my new house with no baby gates or anything that I needed because you guys ran so late behind. You guys worked from 330-730 max and charged us $675. After I have a quote from you in my email inbox that states you were to charge us $540 for 3-4 hours work. It just makes me sad because we were referred to you by THREE families who we GREATLY trust. So we're bummed that we had this experience. Ty and I have moved approximately twenty times over the course of ten years believe it or not! And never ever once have we ran into a single one of these issues with any other company. Also, we have never had a company refuse to pack our stuff. Anytime we have ever ever moved .. They pack & move both. Of course I packed as much as I could and assumed your team would finish the job.. I mean what on earth am I paying you for? Another thing that was frustrating is your employees told my husband they left some family pictures behind. No big deal. He said he'd grab them on his way home. We grew irate when he gets there after being at work for 13 hours and paying your guys several hundred dollars and there are not only family pictures there but there's my brand new dyson left behind (a $600 vacuum!!!), my husbands work suits, two flat screen tvs (!!!!), all of our cable boxes, lamps, etc just to name a few. I've never gone to the trouble to write a negative review about any company. I've had hair color jobs I'm not happy with. I've had cable companies bill me too much. I've had issues believe me but none of them were worth my time to mess with downloading this stupid app to write this review but I feel you completely screwed us over. We agreed to pay what you quoted us! We aren't trying to get free services. My husband told you multiple times we'd pay you $550. But you wouldn't budge. That's what you quoted us! And you ran two hours behind! How does this seem like okay business at all to charge $675? If your guys stayed longer than 4 hours, fine. We would have paid. But it was 4 hours of work absolute max. And you guys were two hours late which was a huge huge huge inconvenience for me. If you can't be punctual you don't need to be operating a moving company. We happily would pay the $550 and would never have left a review about how you were 2 hours late and they left so much stuff behind. But to do all of that and then charge $675....??? Unreal. I used PMS to move my belongings from a Fort Walton Beach house to a Fort Walton Beach house. They were great! They were polite, courteous, respectful of my belongings, and moved swiftly. I never felt like they were abusing my time. I worked for a company a few years back that moved building locations. PMS moved our office and they were awesome then too! They came to me highly recommended from other friends and from my past experience with them from the office move. They also have lots of experience moving those precious items like pianos and organs. I have done business with Professional Moving Services for my last 2 moves. I had absolutely no issues at all. Outstanding service. The first move, I was given a quote, accepted the quote, and the job went a little faster than expected and I was charged less than quoted, which is very rare these days - The second time I used them they once again did an excellent job. I have recommended P.M.S. to multiple co-workers and friends, and those people also went with P.M.S. because they had the best prices around, and also received great service. Reading the negative review below doesn't make any sense to me, if one is moving, you might want to give yourself a bit more time than 2 hours to schedule a whole house move and walkthrough to happen, thats sounds more like a 2 day process to me - and also you might want to make sure you are home - and as the owner Mr. Herbert stated, if you request additional services like picking up furniture from a store and then sitting in highway 98 traffic for 2 hours, there obviously is going to be an additional charge for paying his employees and additional fuel expenses - I thing an additional $150 was a bargain, just my opinion - There is a reason why P.M.S. has been winning the "Best Moving Service" award for the last several years, trust me, use them and you will see how great they do.
