Mind you it might be, but the reason for the one star was because the girl who was supposed to do my piercing was completely rude and needs an attitude check. I have set two appointments with the shop. Each time it's for my husband and I. We each have tattoos we want and enjoy doing them together. The first time we were double booked, that led to the tattoos not getting completed or started because of time. I sent the second appointments for us on Mother's Day. Well it happened again. We got to the shop a half hour early. So they made us wait an hour past our scheduled appointment time. This caused for my husbands work not be completed again. We are Talking about Warriors design on hand, warriors across his knuckles and a raiders shield on his ditch. My tattoo was never even started. This was a total disappointment for me on Mother's Day! I also had a piercing done in the shop. Love the piercing, wish they kept the jewelry inventory stocked up so when it's time to downsize they had options for the customer to pick from... Not a good experience at this place. I went in because it did have some positive reviews and I wanted to give them a try. I went in for a tattoo and my artist seem irritated and seem he just wanted to leave. Did not really work with me on the design and when I would say something he would say "idk" what ever you want. But when I would say something he would say " it won't look good man" which I respect but then he would be like "I'll do it but I'll have to charge you more" which didn't inspire confidence. I will say the tattoo itself it's a solid 8/10 which brings me to my next point. After a month or so after I reached out to see what the policy for a touch up was and Tristen said that they guarantee their work so if it needed it then it would be done for at no cost. Which great! I made my appt and first things first again my artist seem irritated and he asked what needed to be done and I pointed out 3 small "o" size parts. And one "O" size that needed some shading. Part of me was expecting for him to inspect his work and offer his profession take on how it healed but he didn't really do that. Which I moved on from that. He did the first 3 "o" size areas and he said anything else he would have to charge me. What happened to "if it needs it it's free of charge". Again the areas in im mentioning are the size of "o" and that might be too big. I will never come back here and will make sure I let others know of my experience when they are looking for a place to get a tattoo. read more

Kept pretending like Mike was almost done or would be right out. Because the person before my appointment changed their mind I get screwed. Horrible business practice. At least if I was told the truth up front I could have gone and come back or rescheduled but making me wait 95minutes as if he would be done soon is ridiculous and poor treatment. I'm so beyond incredibly impressed with the guys here at Emerald Tattoo. Today, I decided I was gonna get myself a birthday tattoo of a design I'd been wanting for a while. THIS PLACE IS RACIST AF!!!! I came in with my friend today (Jan 15,2022) while she was filling out her paperwork for her piercing another girl was getting ready to walk into her SAME piercing. As she walked into the room, where you can see in mind you, the lady doing the piercing said he can come too. She was like coo and the man walked in. So as my friend was told they were ready for her. she said come on, inviting me. The guy behind the desk, Tristan said no you can sit over here. And grabbed a chair and put it next to the door. Aside from the other chairs in the area. Looking confused... I said why can't I go in? He said we don't allow people to sit in on piercings. I said AND pointed out the other girl who just walked in not even 2 minutes prior that her guest could go in. He looked, laughed and shook his head and started to giggle and say well hers is a personal piercing. I know that's why we came together. Not knowing I myself was going to get the same tattoo. needless to say I didn't get my piercing and I told Tristian how racist and discriminatory he was acting. He laughed and said oh well and proceeded to the desk. I told him I was going to write a review and he laughed. Middle finger to Emerald Piercing . Hands down best place I've ever been for piercings. The manager is very nice always smiles and greets you when you walk in. I got my nipples pierced which was an awesome experience she made me feel comfortable , you don't feel any judgment it's very professional and she was very quick with it. They turned out great! First saw Emerald on Instagram from a friends profile and that they also did piercings. Went in for a tragus piercing- Walking up I was greeted by some of the artists with clients on what looked like a tat break outside and once inside I actually had minimal wait for being a walk-in. Shop manager Tristan was nice and looked like had everything running smoothly even with it being busy. Joseph-piercer- did good double checking as he went if I liked placement and whatnot and didn't make me feel like a kid or have the monotone/autopilot when making sure I knew the aftercare -refreshing compared to past experiences elsewhere so I will definitely be coming back for more and maybe make an appointment for a tattoo next time. read more
