Emergency Dental Care on Elm really came through for me in a pinch. A new crown had been bothering me, and then one night I woke up in excruciating pain. My regular dentist was closed, and I was moving out of state in a couple of days, so I was desperate to get in to see someone. Dr. Nobles was able to diagnose and and explain the options in a short amount of time. He did a wonderful, efficient job with the extraction and was actually much better than my oral surgeon. He and his assistant were very friendly and put me at ease before and during the procedure. Highly recommend! read more

I just recently visited due to a cracked tooth. The dentist was very kind, Dr. Cannon, however the office staff is very questionable. After my exam I was priced $790 for my crown. This lady, was kind reassuring and explained it very well. Told me to take my time to figure out how to pay for it. So I went home to move funds around. I came the next day to do the procedure, but there was a different front desk lady and she told me my total was $1380 (with insurance). When I showed her the other paperwork from the previous day/different front desk receptionist that said it was only $790 her first reply was "she lied to you". Then proceeded to tell me that I wasn't going to find anyone in the area that could do a crown cheaper. That was the going rate in our area. That was so concerning and after reading other poor reviews about their financial system I decided to leave. I went to a dentist 2 days later and paid $760 for my crown. I would not recommend this office due to their financial irregularities. I would like to recommend the dentist but surely he has to know what's going on and that concerns me. read more

I made an appointment here the Friday before Labor Day weekend. One of my back molars was split in half and it hurt very badly. Two days prior I had gone to my dentist and he told me I had two cavities. I made an appointment to get them filled the following week but then I split my tooth and he couldn't see me so I went to this urgent care. I had made the appointment for 4:30pm and after about 40min of waiting the took me back. The staff there was nice and eventually let me know that the doctor was stuck in traffic on 35 and they didn't know how long he would be. They actually tried to get me to leave and refund me because after 1.hrs of waiting they still hadn't heard when he may be in office. As she's telling me this the doc walks in.... This is where the story get awful. He says -" I need a minute" he leaves and comes back and says my tooth is split in half and says "what do you want me to do about it" so I joke it off and I ask what we can do. He said " we can do a root canal if the fracture isn't too deep but if it is we'll have to remove the tooth" he said the only way to tell is if I remove the piece that's cracked to see how far down the fracture is. Then he leaves again and comes back and says "I actually think we really need to remove the tooth" (in like a power stance) in a rude way. So he wanted to pul the tooth without even assessing the tooth properly. He asked how old I was. He said "why would you do this before Labor Day weekend" so I'm just getting the gist that he really didn't want to do a root canal. At this point I'm panicked and call my husband and he gets me in at my original dentist. I ran out of the emergency place because I did not want an angry dentist working on my mouth. I'm already very scared of the dentist and to have this man be so rude and unprofessional was just so disappointing. I wasn't rude. I've been in horrible 35 traffic myself and I totally understand feeling overwhelmed by that. But to try and rush me out if the office and not even assess if the fracture was deep enough was uncalled for. I would stay away from this place. It's scary that this man has a license. read more

Update #2: after a month I have yet to receive a check, and continuously get the run around about it. At this point I'm not sure who I need to speak to or file a claim with, but I will find out and will be doing whatever it takes. Update: they are refunding me via check in the mail. The staff is nice, the procedure went well and they are open on Sundays which is a plus. They charged me double what I was supposed to be charged. When I called about it they said I needed to wait to get the letter of coverage from my insurance before they will do anything. I have received that letter and I definitely over paid and now I can't get ahold of them to get my money back. Ridiculous. read more

Doctor was great but they use unethical billing practices. I was charged $50 for my appointment but when I got my explanation of benefits back from my insurance company, my responsibility was only $30. I've contacted the office several times and was either given the run around or just straight up hung up on. Only posting this public review so that I can finally get reimbursed. It also appears they have committed insurance fraud by both overcharging me and overbilling my insurance company. read more

Worse service! They are just there to take your $$$ don't care for you or the service they do. They work for the day to collect easy $ money & not to care for your results days after! The dentist Dr Shalaby is mean/rude & his nurse or assistant ( Makayla ) is not friendly at all, she treats you rough & seems like she hates her job! Because by the look on her face she is MAD! I went in for a root canal $95.00 for just one Xray on tooth issue. They collect up front. Most dentist offices do $35 to $50 for full mouth xrays & exam. I will admit, it was my fault for not doing my $ fee research. Then root canal was $1750.00 not including crown it's $900.00 for crown. 11days later my tooth start chipping & breaking. I called office & didn't get appt til 6 days later. I should have been a post /op but, no they said they had no opened appt. Second office visit they did xrays & found infection on my root canal. Dr Woodard was surprised & asked his nurse quietly " who worked on this?" As she whispered Dr Shalaby. They were very shady, basically, he told me there was nothing he can do & told me to look around for another dentist if I wanted a second opinion. I lost $1750.00 & I have to go to another dentist to get his unprofessional 1/2 job root canal fixed. I mean for $1750.00 they could at least do it right & if it was not done right the first time , I get it people make mistakes but, at least correct it with no extra fee. Be honest & professional. The tech didn't take the full X-ray she said she would take of the one side upper and lower. She only took a pic of the upper side. The tech hurt my throat when she tossed the radiation guard on my chest. Then Dr. Milton Cannon insisted I had a cracked tooth from tapping my teeth and said I needed a crown, I insisted he take another look at my teeth because I didn't feel any pain from the tapping he did. He then said I should just get a shaving of some area on the bottom teeth. This seems really strange to go from a need for a crown to just a little shaving of a tooth. I just went to Comfort Dental and they found the source of my pain abig cavity in upper right wisdom where Emergency Dental did not find I've kept the tooth as proof the cavity is horrendous! read more

Lovely office, lovely front desk staff, terrible bedside manner. I get that the pandemic is a serious concern, but there is absolutely no reason to treat a terrified new patient the way my partner was treated today. What a shame--would have loved to have a safe emergency dentist to go to. Also, definitely not an affordable option--one cap is over $1600, without appointment fees. read more

Do not go here unless you are ready to pay THOUSANDS . I went in telling them I had a broken tooth that wasn't too sensitive and they told me I needed a root canal or implants. They really talked up the implants saying it was the best option but they did NOT explain I would have my teeth pulled out and then live without them for 5-6 months minimum! NOR did they explain how I would have to pay 2,900 for ONLY 2 TOOTH EXTRACTIONs. nor did they tell me HOW MUCH IMPLANTS WOULD COST LATER ON. I am 22 years old. I did not read the piece of paper they gave me with the 2,900 on it carefully enough. I asked all the questions I thought I should and now I am SCREWED out of nearly $3,000. I will never forgive these people for blindsiding me making me think Implants or root canal was the only or best option. This has been all I could think about for 3 days since and it keeps me up at night. I am looking to try and find a lawyer who I can use against them for giving me such a traumatic experience. read more

Where to start. Last night i didn't not sleep i had a broken tooth that was infected very deep in the root. Woke up did some research today is Veterans Day, not to mention a holiday. I found this place called them scheduled an appointment with in a few hours. We arrived at 2pm spoke with the dentist explained my options. Was able to have the tooth removed and i was ready to leave before it was 3pm. The Doctor knew exactly what to do and me me feel very comfortable. I would highly recommend this office to anyone! I went in last Saturday 3/28 with extreme pain from my lower left teeth, I showed the Dentist Dr. Mukhttar Champsi said after taking xrays that it was actually the tooth next to the one I pointed out #19 and it needed a root canal. After he finished my other tooth was still hurting and he said it was probably just a loose crown, go home chew some taffy and pull it off and then he could reinstall it. After putting on my patient forms that I was allergic to penicillin, he still prescribed me amoxicillin as my antiobiotic which of course would have made me sick. I had my wife call them several hours after my appointment to tell them about the wrongly prescribed medicine and the pain I was still having extreme pain and that I would not be coming back to their clinic so don't make the permanent crown. They agreed to reimburse me all but $700 of my co-pay saying that charge was for the root canal. Once I could get into my endodontist on Monday, he did xrays and showed that the tooth Dr. Champsi did the root canal on was the wrong tooth and didn't appear to even need a root canal and he botched the root canal he did by trying to split in between 2 roots and then didn't even drill down into the nerve. This is the worst dental experience I have ever had, now I have to get another surgery done on the tooth he butchered and get it extracted and an implant done in a couple of weeks. Went in on Saturday May 25th due to swelling in my jaw and needing extractions. I did all of the paperwork and then was told that they did not accept my insurance, so the x-rays alone were going to be $100 upfront. Then was told they did take my insurance but they couldn't verify because there was a technical issue. So I paid the $100 and continued to sit in the lobby waiting. Almost an hour of waiting and already paying $100 I was called back to the desk and asked how far along I was, it asks on the paperwork I turned in an hour ago. So I told them 19weeks. I was then told they could not even take me back to look at me without my obgyn authorization. Fine, so I asked for a refund on my money since nothing was getting done. After the two ladies in the front messed around with the credit card machine for about 20mins, they said they figured it out. The receipt they gave me just said voided. And I was told if that did not work to call them and they will get me the refund. Well now it's Thursday May 30th and the $100 was already taken out of my account but never refunded. I have emailed and left two voicemails with no response whatsoever! I am beyond irritated that I just paid $100 to sit in the lobby in pain for an hour. read more
