Then they tried to charge me $170: $100 for the cleaning and $70 for the x-ray they didn't take. They spoke to me rudely, trying to convince me it was legal to charge for a service they never provided. They even tried to make me pay $135 by lowering the price of an X-ray they didn't perform from $70 to $35. What a joke! It used to be a nice office, but when Dr. Rosenberg sold the business, it became a place where patients forced to pay for fillings and other procedures that were completely unnecessary.

First I had an appointment for a Saturday morning. When I got there, they tell me they hadn't…read morecalled my insurance prior to my visit and hadn't verified. So I made the trip for nothing because my insurance is closed on Saturday. Regardless, I gave them another try out of desperation because a crown cracked on me. My first impression was the office looks nice but high open ceiling where dust from the AC system are exposed can lead to dusk particles in the air and probably not that sanitary. In any case, I proceed with an assistant who spends half an hour trying to X-ray my teeth but couldn't get the X-ray gun to operate properly till she finally gives up and has me stand in a 3-D modeling X-ray machine. Then comes another person to make the mold. Another person to adjust the mold. Then finally the dentist who spent 3 minutes to approve. When they continue with the fitting the temp cracks and they have to start over. A total of 5 people had their hands in my mouth. Two hours later I finally get to leave with a temp that then cracks within a week. Waited another week for the delivery of the crown. On my return visit the crown they ordered didn't match in color so they had to paint and bake on the spot. The crown was also quite dull and not as sharp as what I had before. In any case, they finally installed it and ask me to come back for a cleaning. I canceled that appointment when I see my insurance keeps sending me notifications that they requested documentation from them and they have yet to submit and might have to close the claim. When I went to my new dentist for a cleaning he tells me that the crown they installed has a hairline fracture and will need to eventually be replaced. This place is a factory of amateurs. Do not go here.

I had a great dentist when I first moved to Hollywood 14 years ago. But unfortunately he sold his practice and the new group was awful. Than a friend referred me to his dentist and that didn't work out either. So with a Groupon I found Dolphin Dental a year ago. I was very impressed with the location on the corner shopping plaza of Hallandale Beach Boulevatd and Federal Highway. The offices are new and the equipment is all state of the art. That is a first for me. I was taken at my appointment time. That alone is a very big deal as my time is limited so I can't afford to sit there all day. So my exam I had a panoramic xray as well as my full mouth. The dentist himself did the cleaning and that impressed me as he was very good. He told me what I already knew that I have good teetth. Next test I send the rest of my family. My son and husband both on seperate appointments go and come to the same conclusion that they are good. Now for my husband who at the time had different insurance and is very skeptical loved it than I knew we found a new dentist. Now since this is my review I reserve the last star plus or minus for my next visit in 6 months. Let"s see if they continue to be great and on time, and I have a cavity to be filled. So I will let you know. So far my visit today was covered by insurance and I particularly liked was that no more tortuous forms had to be filled out that alone gave them a star.
