I love EMTP! I recommend it to everyone I know who is looking to go into EMS. I was a student in Jason Randall & Matthew Ellis' 2017-2018 EMT-B class. It was by far the best classroom experience I've ever had. Jason is a fantastic instructor who genuinely cares about his students throughout the class, through exams, and into their careers. He wants and expects nothing but the best for his students, and makes it known. Matt is also awesome, very eager to teach, and always willing to lend a helping hand! Class sizes at EMTP are small-medium. I believe my class had ~14-16 by the end, and I know of another class that just had 4 or 5 students! They're very manageable, close knit classes. You're likely to meet some new close friends at EMTP! Several of my classmates & I still keep in contact, well over a year after we finished. All of the other staff & instructors at EMTP that I met were wonderful as well. Wayne, likely one of the first people you'll meet in the office is super friendly & helpful. The other instructors that helped my class, while I only met each a time or two, were also really helpful. By the time exams rolled around, I felt more than prepared. Albeit, terrified, but prepared. I've never been so happy with my choice in schools & class experience. If I could do my EMT course all over again, I'd go back to EMTP. read more

EMTP has a first time pass rate on NREMT (EMS certification exam) that is significantly higher than Kentucky's average. The pass rate is also 2.5 times higher than what the Kentucky standards require. Our educators are dedicated to student success. Each of us strives to end classes on time (if not early) and to adequately prepare our students for their certification exam. Our classes have consistent instructors who are present during the class. As a program coordinator, I can say that I have complete faith in the educators that I oversee. All of our educators meet the standards required by the Kentucky Board of EMS for education. Likewise, it is a joy to work for a director who supports her staff. The director is committed to producing quality classes and putting high preforming practitioners on the street. At EMTP we have high standards for our educators, thus there have been many that have left over the years. I see that one of those disgruntled employees who did not meet our standards has taken the time to make untrue accusations on this website. I was hesitant after reading a couple of reviews, but I was extremely impressed with the outcome of my decision to move forward with the class anyway! Carrie and Matt were great instructors who both made sure we not only knew what exactly we needed to do to pass the national exam (both motor and written) but because they both practice, they made sure that we knew how to use the skills practically. The tests that were given were actually harder (in my opinion) than the national exam, which made the national exam feel like nothing! I live in Louisville so the hybrid class made it really easy for me to get my license while still ensuring that I felt confident with my hands-on skills! Both instructors have contacts in many different counties, so getting ride-time done was made simple for us! I would recommend this class to anyone and I can't thank Carrie and Matt enough for preparing me for the field! read more

I have been involved with EMTP for several years completing training for employees that I work with I have always found them to be professional and been satisfied with the training we have received. They have been prompt with the dates of training and with the trainers that complete our training. We have viewed several classes they offer and sent clients to trainings that they offer. Our clients have completed classes that have helped them become self sufficient with their future. I would suggest this training facility to anyone interested in the medical field. When you have clients that have been successful in completing these classes provided by EMTP and been able to get jobs and not depend on the assistance of others you know that EMTP has done their job. As an Educator at EMTP I can't say enough good things about the programs we offer. We have lots of successful students that come back to further their education, and have a good reputation with clinical sites and emergency services through out the state. Equipment used in our facility varies, all in new condition and when equipment is broken, if reported is replaced ASAP. I encourage anyone who is looking for a class to stop by the school and look around and sit in a class. We love the students and make every effort for our students to be successful. This school is very disorganized and always gives bad experiences to us students, the owner is always fighting with the teachers and only a few are worth much the teacher I had quit due to the owner fighting with her over she was above and beyond what that school needed now we know why she quit. If your checking out schools look else where because this is not for you if you want to succeed in healthcare. The school has a bad rep all the things in Pushed O reveiws are the same as what I know. Do not judge a book by its cover. I've been back now for the 3rd time to continue my education and get my feet wet in the medical field. All the instructors I've had are professional and down to earth. Their prices are extremely reasonable and the quality of education I've received has given me the confidence to go on to Nursing School. I've taken and passed SRNA (state registered nursing assistant) and Phlebotomy. I'm beyond thankful to this School. I can now get a job closer to where I live. I loved going to EMTP for my EMT-Basic training. The instructors were very knowledgeable and since they are in the field they have real life experiences to draw from. I learned so much and they made it very easy to prepare for the NREMT exam and skills test, and get all the required documents to get licensed as an EMT. I recently took a Phlebotomy class at this school and my entire class passed the national exam with no problem! We did a lot of hands on learning and we also did a lot of fun exercises to learn the material. The teacher kept me interested and my fears of going back to school in 50s was erased after the first day of class. I would recommend this program! read more

I just finished my EMT class and it was amazing. The educator was very energetic and knowledgeable. It was fun to do things like dissect pig lungs and draw the flow of the heart on the sidewalk.
