She gave me different tools throughout the process to help me accomplish the look I was going for. One of the best things about this place as well is that if you don't finish in your first visit you can come back at certain times and have full access to their resources and advice even if it takes a couple times of coming back to do so. Coming here gave me confidence in my ability to actually paint well and it was not stressful at all during the process. Everything from the staff to the programs to the show itself was top of the line. I was in awe! I would definitely recommend you take the time to see a show here and enjoy the atmosphere and the people around you. I may even have to take some time out and audition for a show myself. I spoke with the owner about the possibility of my daughter taking dance lessons. The owner was in the process of coordinating classes for the fall and asked if I would email her my daughter's gymnastics schedule and she would do her best to see if my daughter could participate in a class. I went home that day and sent the email with our schedule. I tried contacting the dance school the following week by phone and in person and was unable to reach anyone. When I received an email about the registration being open, I tentatively filled out the form. I was not comfortable registering for a class that I did not yet have a specific day or time. I told myself that having already spoken to the owner, that she would understand that we would not be taking classes if they couldn't fit into my daughter's schedule. I even attached another gymnastics schedule to the registration to make sure no scheduling conflicts occurred. I eventually received an email with my daughter's dance class schedule which was on the exact day and time she has gymnastics. I decided I was done with the business at this point. I thought I wouldn't have to think about this again, until I received a large bill months later for classes my daughter never attended and a registration fee. When I called and talked to someone about the bill, she said they would adjust the class fees but could not remove the registration fee because they took the time to put my daughter in a class. Yes, Jane's School of Dance, you placed my daughter in a class she could not take. I will pay your registration fee and now warn others of your classless business practices.

Today, we saw The Lexington Theatre's production of Les Miserables and the local performers absolutely knocked it out of the park! To be honest, when we went, my expectations were kind of low since it was a local theatre company, but their talent and production of this show was absolutely amazing! It was just as good as what I have seen at other venues! The acoustics are very good and the building has such a rich history! Don't miss this downtown Lexington gem!

This is a great venue for concerts with fantastic acoustics. Its capacity is around 1,000, so it feels intimate and not a bad seat in the house. This is a very cool historic building in downtown Lexington. They have some neat memorabilia throughout the building. I suggest checking it out for a concert or play.

KY Mudworks' cone 6 clays…read moreare superior in every way, excellent for throwing, and fully vitrify (0.5% absorption) at cone 6. Almost no other cone 6 clays vitrify this well at this temp. I ordered clay online as well and the website was clear about relevant delays and the reasons why- including certain ingredients being harder to access or changes to formulations. There are similar delays to much larger websites, and this local business feels like a better use of money. The person who helped me was friendly and available for my questions without making me feel pressured to buy anything. I will keep coming back for KY Mudworks brand clays (especially Iceman and Sheltowee) and glazes (their clear glaze is flawless, and Sequoia is another favorite).
