Mary explained everything to us thoroughly - we gained so much knowledge about Carlton and this facility. What impresses is the most is that you can tell that Mary, along with other employees here, are genuinely nice and truly enjoy and take pride in their job. We did a tour of the facility - which is beautiful and immaculately maintained - it is exactly as advertised... warm, home feel, clean but not sterile. We saw some folks walking around, some with canes, some with walkers, others with wheelchairs, and some who are getting ready to go on a tricycle bike ride! We toured around the faculty including its TV and activity room, the outdoor dining and hanging area, the restaurant, library. What impressed us the most - in addition to their staff - is their restaurant. It is a nice restaurant and has a seasonal menu, and plenty of drink choice. It is truly a cruise ship on land! Every elderly person should be fortunate enough to live in a nice facility such as Carlton's when we get older!

I am honestly shocked by the conditions given how much residents are charged to live here. The most unacceptable issue is the persistent smell of urine and other strong odors throughout the third floor. It is not occasional -- it is constant, and at this point it has become noxious. As I understand residents have complained repeatedly and have requested that something be done, yet nothing ever changes. For a facility that charges exorbitant marrates, basic cleanliness and odor control should be an absolute standard. It is difficult to understand how management expects families or residents to feel comfortable, respected, or confident in the care environment when such a fundamental problem is ignored. If management is unwilling or unable to address something as basic as sanitation and air quality, it raises serious concerns about what other issues may also be overlooked. This is not the level of dignity or care that seniors deserve, especially at these prices.

They have monthly live music bands and entertainment that frequent the facility. There is always something going on. When my dad passed, my mom moved to another beautiful apartment and continued to thrive. She loves to play daily games (bingo and rummikub) and share meals and social gatherings with her close friends. In the rare cases that she needed extra assistance medically, the staff was attentive, kind and caring and they communicated well with me. The activity directors have been wonderful and creative, making everyday life fun and active for the residents. We've also enjoyed and developed relationships with many of the staff members.

No-one and nothing else is allowed. Have tried to use for quietly getting out. of room, but all seats and couches are occupied by sleeping residents. Have no recourse but to stay in approximately 500 sq ft room. this has been a nightmare!!!! If you still want to LIVE and not thru children's lives, this is not the place. Just hope this keeps others from making mistake that I made.

I asked her eye drops and a Tylenol and I was told by the nurse tonight that she wasn't going to give it to me for whatever reason! I told her I was in pain and she said no. I'm signing myself out I can't be here. I've had no care. The food is awful I have diarrhea. I've had no attention I got antibiotics for my kidney infection so I'll take the antibiotics on the prescription with me home. I have no products to take care of myself and no clean clothes. This place is a monster prison. There been three people that even talk kindly to me. The staff has been abusive verbally and emotionally I believe they are delighted to be evil and cause people pain. I need to accept that people work with the elderly to dump their anger. So tired of this place.

The food always smelled delicious and my mom was alway excited to eat. In the last days of her life, the staff was just like extended family and was with us and helped us with out hesitation and it made her transition so peaceful.
