I decided to organize a team building event for my co-workers at Blaze Ceramics last week and had…read morethe best time ever. The owners are so kind, helpful and fun. Because there were around 12 of us that went, we chose to rent their party room which was $30 for 2 hours. By having the party room, you are allowed to bring food and alcohol! It's super convenient that there is a dominos next door. There is a large variety of ceramic items to choose from: Dog bowls, tiles, piggy banks. animal figures, coffee mugs, plates etc. All of the items that I looked at ranged from $5-$30+ which is very reasonable. Once we picked and paid for our item, we were explained the process and got to painting. When you are done, you have to leave your item there to go through the firing process which can take a week. I highly recommend this business and I know I will be back! :)

Since the addition of our two little dudes many of our road trips have started to center not on the…read morefinal destination but rather on where we can stop and route to said destination. Children's Museums have become popular stopping point and we were very excited to find out that there was one in Klamath Falls. While this place isn't much to look at on the outside, inside are some great exhibuts, an area for young kiddos and plenty of stuff to stimulate curiosity while also burning off some energy! The place is located in an older part of town in what we found out was an old Dental Building. The place was donated about 15 years ago and they've been making continual improvements to it ever since. Upon walking in you're greeted by one of the employees at the counter. It was $5 per person to get in and that included access to everything that was available there. As well as tea and coffee Upstairs! The membership price was something like $10 per month for a family membership and $100 per month for a corporate membership. If we lived here this would be a go-to place! Downstairs just across from the entrance is an area for toddlers with a couple couches for moms needing to rest with little ones. Upstairs there are a ton of great exhibits for kids ages 2+. The exhibits included a decomissioned airplane that had been donated by a local gentleman, a great wooden fire truck that the kids could climb on that had working lights and sirens, a play town with rooms dedicated to a grocery store, a doctor's office, a hair salon at a dentist office. These were all a lot of fun and had phones that worked to call the other rooms - big news for 2 and 4 year olds! One of the more unique things they had here was a shadow room, with a phosphorescent wall that the kids could pose in front of and then the shadow was captured on it. One of the more creative things we've seen at a children's museum and it made for a very good time for everyone involved! Our favorite thing here though was the wall with the magnetic ramps and blower. All the pieces were set up to complete a circuit that then allowed a ping pong ball to go from one end to the other. Most of these that we've seen other places involve clear pipes and puff balls, but this one actually allowed the kids to change out pieces. It was pretty simple and really, really cool. The places mentioned we're definitely the highlights, and there were plenty of other areas 2 explore including one with model trains and another with a bunch of musical instruments. The folks here have done a pretty amazing job of setting up a really neat children's museum in a pretty small space. The space is utilized really well, and the folks that work here were very nice, interactive and helpful to all the kids. This is definitely a place that should be utilized by folks in town and anyone passing through!

What a hidden jewel! Howard Prairie is not located on Riverside Ave. in Medford. It is on "Hyatt…read morePrairie Road" which is just off Dead Indian Memorial Road out of Ashland. I drove over Sunday to visit but took Hwy. 140 to 37 through the "Rogue Wilderness" which was a little gnarly. Having never been before, I was STUNNED at the beauty of this large, pristine lake. Many people come to fish for trout and bass. Others come for boating, jet skiing and canoeing. Still others come to hike and bike in the mountains. Some just come to kick back & chill. This is a very well maintained campground/resort with all the amenities you could ask for. The store at the marina sells just about anything you may have forgotten, smokes, snacks, food (gotta have those smores around the campfire) and sundries. The restaurant is absolutely lovely and the food delicious and reasonably priced. I enjoyed a creamy pasta, mushroom & veggie dish that was perfectly done, melt in your mouth divinity. The marina blew my mind ... there were yachts and sail boats in addiiton to speed boars moored! There is a regatta each year and this place is so mellow that many, many people leave their boats, fifth wheels and/or camp trailers here for the "season". Yep, you can store your goods here during the week for just a couple bucks, head up Thursday or Friday after work and rent your campsite for the weekend. Week after week, month after month people do this until they close at the end of October. Just a little ways off the beaten path, I highly recommend Howard Prairie Lake & Resort for a nice get away.

Sail boats, ski boats paddle boats and of course fishing boats. They have Friendly staff and host. Little store with mostly fishing tackle, cafe, soft serve ice cream and Marina. Clean restroom and 25 cent showers. We had no internet or satellite. Others had satellite dishes on a 100ft cable out in a clearing. We did have cell service. Very peaceful, even with it being a busy weekend. We will return.

They owner brought us eggs, fresh goat milk, and butter. We were able to watch Sandhill Cranes, a doe, with 2 tiny fawns, other deer. Go see baby goats,19 in all. Baby pigs. I would go there again, just to relax.
