Me Cooking on one of the three gas stoves

"We were in awe of the amenities that have spoiled us for any future camping!" I am almost afraid to post this review for fear that their won't be enough availability when we go back. And we will be driving back as often as we can from Portland 5 hours north. And the owners and camp hosts all went out of their way to keep the spaces clean, fresh and stocked (they took out trash and recyclables 2-3 times we were there in 4 days). My family are seasoned campers from forests to the sea, so we have the packing and prep down. But I barely needed to do any prep for Willow-Witt! We only needed our tent, sleeping bags, toiletries and food - everything else was provided (including hot showers in or outdoors and a vast and fully-stocked outdoor kitchen). Some of the families in our group, were were first time campers- and what a stellar time they had! You get the best of both worlds! A gorgeous backdrop of nature to experience: trails that meander through forest, meadow and wetlands and a working dairy and veg/fruit farm where my kids got to pet and bottle feed the baby goats as well as enjoy their mild-mannered dogs, chickens, geese and ducks roaming about. We shared fabulous meals together and even though there are no fire pits, the wood fire stove offered the same late night draw to pull chairs around and a place for the kids to safely roast marshmallows and make s'mores. The amenities go in beyond the double kitchen and three farm tables for meals; there are coolers and ice; an on-site farm store with fresh milk, eggs, bacon, bread and essentials; 10 recharged large camp lanterns; soacious his and hers enclosed modern bathrooms each with a shower, two stalls, and large double sink and mirrors and storage for toiletries. They really thought of Everything! My favorite was taking a hot outdoor shower on the other side of camp overlooking the meadow. I felt like I was in a dream (or commercial) with the view and gentle breezes and the white billowing cotton curtains (which offered total privacy). Our group went to a total of 4 Shakespeare plays in town as well as romped at Emigrant lake (each 20- 25 minutes from Willow-Ranch). At Emigrant lake we swam, rented kayaks and paddle boards and - get this went on water slides (there is a two slide waterpark 300 yards from where we played and paddled in the lake). Willow-Witt attracts the best patrons (and employees). With great lounging areas (sheltered farm tables, picnic tables and other chairs and tables about; and a kitchen that has everything (they even had gluten-free flour for baking biscuits), everyone staying, acquainted or not, intermingled like one large group sharing highlights of our days and favorite places to travel. Like I said, we will be back as often as we can. Oh, and did I mention I was greeted by a speckled fawn on a morning walk on one of their trails? Last tip: print out a copy of their directions from the website - Not all the Map Apps agree on how to get there and you cell reception gets spotty as you rise to 5,000 feet elevation. Bonus to that elevation: poison oak doesn't grow there and it is perfectly pleasant when Ashland was 95 degrees.

this place was amazing. me and my partner were looking for things to do in ashland as we are visiting from monterey. goats are my favorite animal so when i saw this place and saw you can literally go hang out with like a dozen of baby goats i got so excited. it is super chill and the people there were so nice. we are hoping to come back before our trip ends They didn't charge anything for this so make sure if you go you donate! they suggested at least $10 per car but probably do more because this place is amazing.

This is not our first time glamping (staying in a wall tent) but what surprised us the most about this campground is not how beautiful the setting was but the comfortability of the campsite set up. As you park you see the bathhouse and the kitchen house. Most of the sites we have stayed at do not have a common kitchen. Which means you have to bring your own cooking equipment and utensils. This is not the case at Willow-Witt Ranch Camp. In the kitchen house you will find everything that you need. You'll even find coolers if you forgot to bring your own. The bathhouse has hot running water and flushing toilets. Towels are included as well. But if you would like to take a shower with a view of a meadow there are outdoor showers with hot water for you to enjoy as well. Inside our wall tent there were two beds completely made with white linen and comforters. Just like you would expect in a hotel room. There was a wood burning stove completely prepped and ready for use with extra wood stacked on the side if you happen to need more. All we had to do was simply start the fire.

My husband and I stopped to stay a night in Ashland on our way home from Eugene. We love Ashland…read moreand decided to stay somewhere different than we normally do and chose Country Willows Inn and I am so glad we did! This is a stunning property. It has a huge Willow Tree in front, a pond with ducks, a gazebo with a beautiful garden area and pond with fish, and is just so well done. We watched deer in the morning while we ate our breakfast! Lisa was so nice and took good care of us! Cookies when we arrived, a handwritten note, truffles in our room. Super friendly and helpful when we arrived. Every detail was so wonderful. There is a pool also but it was closed due to the weather being too cold but I'm sure it's amazing in the summer. Parking is good also. The inn is not too far from downtown and they offer a delicious breakfast as well. We had apple cider crème brûlée and sweet potato hash with chicken apple sausage. Good coffee too! Overall we really enjoyed our stay and will definitely be back to this lovely and charming place!

Which has one king and and one twin bed. Perfectly appointed. The grounds are breathtaking. The pool and gardens are absolutely stunning. The cottage is situated next to a small pond with the cutest ducks quaking away., We loved it. The breakfast was off the charts delicious, fresh., perfectly made with care and love. Quiet, peaceful. We were driving through the area and decided to stop somewhere quiet and naturalistic to chill out…read morefor two nights. I saw some very positive reviews for The Weasku Inn on the Rogue River, so I booked it. I am SO glad I did! The lodge is nostalgic of days gone by, built in 1924-- so quaint and lovely. On arrival, a warm staff met us and we checked in to a picturesque cabin facing the river. Perfect! King sized SUPER comfy bed stacked high with lovely quilts. The cabin featured a lovely mountain-style, working rock fireplace with a comfy couch facing the fireplace, looking out onto the trees with the river beyond. The cabin had everything we needed to make our stay comfortable. The Weasku offers "appetizers" in the evening--which really is more like a meal. If you are still hungry after the appetizer hours, which we were not, restaurants for dinner are just a quick 5 minute drive away. There is a bar available to purchase wines, beer and ciders, if you wish, available all day long with complementary coffees and teas, as well. And the FULL breakfast is SO well done; not like those plastic, poorly done "breakfasts" served at many places--THIS is a proper, complete breakfast meal. There is a fire pit for evenings and complementary "s'more"kits are available for toasting on the fire. The Weasku staff were so warm and friendly and all seemed to be pleased to see us! We will most certainly return to this lovely spot. If what you want is a respite from the crazy, a quiet cozy place to relax and comfortable accommodations, you will love The Weasku. Amenities worth mentioning: Cabin includes: *TV *Hair dryer *Complimentary Wi-fi *Charging station for

I saw the many rave reviews and decided that this must be "the place". I'm going to be as objective…read moreas possible while setting the record straight- the staff were all good, and offering breakfast, appetizers and cookies/fire/s'mores in the evening was a really nice touch. As others have mentioned, the breakfast wasn't great, but we were travelling with little kids so having something to get the day started is really important (A for effort, C- for execution). They had a decent selection of beer and wine to order in the evenings (at reasonable prices for a hotel). The grounds were pretty nice. Things fall short of expectations when you get to the accommodations and location. Our cabin felt old and dilapidated, not "historic" in the sense of the Ahwahnee Lodge (Yosemite) or Lake MacDonald Lodge (Glacier). You walk in to a slightly damp environment that smells a bit like septic mixed with old camp fire. The couch, and carpet were pretty gross. Beds were mediocre, and although the sheets looked clean, the setup wasn't exactly confidence inspiring. Rooms are not cleaned daily, and since we have little people in diapers, we opted to just put the trash can outside. Perhaps the worst part was that we were put into the AFrame cabin with no possibility to change rooms (that's not what I booked). There's a steep ladder that leads to the second bed upstairs. This arrangement is not realistic or safe with toddlers. Overall, everything was just, kinda... shabby. "Historic" in the context of the Weasku is a euphemism for "run-down". As for location, if you think you're going to be right on the Rogue, you'd be mistaken. There's an irrigation ditch that runs directly behind the cabins, fed by a pump house about 100 yards away. If you do walk down to the river, be careful because this section is very dangerous/inhospitable. The river is really swift there, so it's not good for fishing (yes, no fishing spots there!), not good for kids, no beach stuff... but plenty of spiked berry brambles and poison oak if that's your thing. Road noise is constant and detracts from the vibe of peaceful seclusion. Interstate 5 is hidden by trees just on the other side of the river, so you'll hear that all night long. As for Grants Pass, unless you've got a reason to be there, you'd be better off somewhere like Ashland. The Weasku served our needs, and we all escaped without bedbugs or scabies. Would I stay again? Not if you paid me. Rating reflects great staff and nice grounds, with negative stars for accommodations.
