Some might think that getting a massage in the middle of a farmer's market might be counterproductive. Nope. Not with Emily's hands on you. She's one of my favorite massage therapists, specializing in Traditional Thai Massage, Shiatsu, and some undefinable, yet healing quality that Emily brings to her practice. Few things in life are better than getting bodywork from Emily on a sunny day. I generally check out and take a few minutes to look around & figure out which planet I'm on. It's a great way to end a visit to the Berkeley Farmer's Market. The massage tent is at the Berkeley Farmer's Market on Center Street near Milvia Street from 10 am to 3 pm. On cloudier days, The therapists in the massage tent have blankets to warm their clients. There are other therapists that work there, but Emily's one of the best. Note that Emily's quite busy, but if she's not available and you're lucky, Catherine Rinaldo might be working with her. Catherine has her own style, and she's every bit as wonderful as Emily. Both charge me $45 for 40 minutes, although you can choose different times. I'm stuck at 40 minutes. I suggest you don't wait until the last minute, 'cuz these two are busy. I was a massage therapist for many years and if someone isn't really good it's just irritating to me. Emily is incredibly good and has given me the best massages I've had in years and years. I've had 4 from her so far and each one has been incredible - totally therapeutic and deeply relaxing at the same time.
