I've gone to her three times now and have been meaning to write a review but it kept slipping from my mind. Grace is a phenomenal reiki therapist. Not only is she very powerful at helping you move and release stuck energy, her psychic powers are on POINT! Every time I go I am floored by how different I feel on all levels and amazed by what she is able to pick up on. Such a great option for those looking for an affordable and low-key water ritual There's a bio-mat bed for EMF interruption. Then head over to the sauna, dry sauna, or infrared sauna. Some were my top person and some were single use. Next was the steam room, fits about 4 comfortably, 8 sitting up. Then a cold plunge tub or bath tub. The tuba COULD fit two people but why. The tubs were all in use when I checked them out so I just took a shower and called it a day A friend of mine said he gets massages from a very thin, tattooed gal, maybe with blue hair? Not a "nurturing" massage but fabulous execution and deep tissue. I love that this is a legit spa, nothing questionable, and a chill relaxed vibe. My wife surprised me with a 90 minute massage for our 5 year wedding anniversary. Once I found the location (someone hidden off the main drag and up a large staircase behind a coffee shop) and walked upstairs, I was kindly greeted by 2 folks working at the front desk and promptly offered a drink as they walked me back to the lounge area to wait for my appointment (I was a few minutes early and they just needed a few minutes to finish setting up my room). After sitting in the cozy and calming lounge for a matter of 1-2 minutes, Xander, my massage therapist for the day brought me back to the room. Went there yesterday to celebrate my birthday with my partner. We spent few hours in Bath House, it was very nice and relaxing, but our 'couples massage' was awful! The room was spacious and gorgeous, but the quality of massage was really really bad, it was simply the worst massage ever. Starting with the duration: 50 mins instead of 60. The massage therapists asked us several times what we like, and we explained that we like "deep tissue", "firm" type of massage. What we received: it felt like they just applied oil to our bodies. Sometimes they would just put one hand and barely even move it ... I asked several times to push harder, because I didn't feel anything. I asked my partner about his experience and he said it was the same thing. He was surprised and asked me if it was supposed to be some "spiritual type of massage, where they just pray or smthg lol", bc he barely felt anything. And it did feel absolutely different from regular "full body massage", like my feet were not massaged at all. So we decided to ask receptionist and he confirmed it was supposed to be "Swedish massage" and if we wanted deep tissue we just needed to tell the massage therapists, which we did (multiple times). We were not offered any price adjustments/apologizes. The receptionist just said thank you for "letting me know". We paid $399 for our visit, $330 of it for the most awful massage ever and I feel very disappointed and sad to have spent my birthday in such way. read more

I received a gift certificate from a boss for Admin Day to pampers myself a little at Bliss. I had never heard or been to Bliss so I went to Yelp to research and was pleasantly surprised that they had a 5 star rating. Because I had never been here I wanted to read through the reviews to see if there was a masseuse that came highly recommended. I found that Xander was mentioned multiple times and decided to book (2) treatments with him. I will tell you that you will not be disappointed if you book with Xander. You will not get a cookie cutter massage in any way, shape or form. He made it a point to read where your problem areas were and work there and not just massage to massage. I have had many massages and went home very sore and that was not the case here. I was a little sore but the good sore to where you know the person knew what they were doing. I would recommend Bliss to anyone who is looking for a place to go and relax, which I already have and had some say they were going to call and make an appointment this month. read more

This is hands down one of the best spas in the area. I got a 90 min facial with a self care pass. First off, the practitioner explained every product she was using on me. She was so kind, considerate, and her knowledge of the product was exactly what I needed. The space is so well curated, I loved looking and purchasing different products. I went two hours early to spend time in self care. It was so clean and beautiful. It was the perfect day to myself. EDITED to reply to the business owner's comment: To clarify, my review was not criticizing the price of our treatments for the area, I was simply stating that the treatments did not meet our expectations for the price we paid. I agree that the prices are comparable for the area, but I've received better treatments for a similar price. In response to the booking, the person who booked the spa appointments for us, was unaware that we were being booked as a "party", since 3 out of the 6 appointments were booked at different times. This was not explained or made clear to her at the time of booking, or she would've declined and asked each of us to book separately. The fact that the fee was waived after additional communication was appreciated, however, my review was noting the confusing or unclear correspondence. I understand you want to stand behind the skill set of your employees, but I stand behind our experience and our general consensus after our treatments. If there are others in our situation, know that if you book appointments for multiple people (over 4), you'll be booked as a "party". The party includes all day access to the comforting lounge area. There's no pool, sauna, or locker room like you might expect at other spas. I'm surprised at all of the glowing reviews for Bliss when our experience was less than. We were in town for a wedding and the family decided to do something fun for the ladies. We had 6 appointments, 5 massages and 1 facial. My partner and I were booked for a facial and a massage, and with other spas we were able to have the treatments in the same room so we decided to call and ask if we could have the treatments in the same room. We called, the answer was no, which was fine, but we asked to cancel (for other reasons aside from the "no"). The website says it accepts a 14 hour cancellation policy and we called well-within the timeframe. However, after some back and forth, we were told the reservation was booked as a "party" and there was a 5-day cancelation policy. In the end, we opted to keep the appointment and enjoy ourselves. A few hours later, the person who booked the appointment told us she received a call from the spa who informed her that we had called and explained our requests. Person who booked the appointments said she informed the spa that the part of the reason we called and requested the same room is because one of us needed assistance due to a wheelchair. Spa informed her this was fine and could be accommodated. Also, person said the spa asked her about the spa party, and that she declined the need for a spa party. So, we could've canceled after all?! Interesting communication here, is all I'm saying. We get to the spa on time for our appointment. When we arrive, we're met with flights of stairs. So, we spend time searching for an elevator to no avail. One of us goes upstairs to ask. We had to walk around the building to a random red door on the side for the elevator, which was fine, but it would've been nice to know about this during the original phone calls to avoid the hassle. The owner was very pleasant, apologetic, and helpful though. Let's get to the treatments. After assisting, I met my masseuse. The first thing Erin said was, "you were late." I thought this was pretty rude, for obvious reasons, but especially because of the elevator and the need for my assistance before the facial. The comment just left a bad taste in my mouth before my massage. I understand our tardiness cut into our time, but she could've mentioned it afterwards or been a little more sensitive to our situation. My massage was just "okay". It wasn't noted that I wanted a deep tissue massage, so the masseuse noted that they needed to upgrade, which I said was fine. The others in our party who received deep tissue also shared the "just okay" and "not firm enough" opinions. The facial was just okay too, but she appreciated the neck massage. We ended up purchasing a mineral sunscreen afterwards, and the person helping in the shop was very helpful. 2 stars because the spa owner and aesthetician were nice and accommodating despite the communication hiccups. The spa waiting room was nice, and the gift shop was cute with lots to look at. Also important to note, we were booked for 90 minute treatments, but all ended up with only 60 minutes. The overall experience was disappointing and for the price tag, you can get MUCH better treatments not too far from here. read more

The spa itself is stunning. I loved the atmosphere and ambiance. The service was incredibly relaxing and effective. Marissa was soothing and gentle. My complexion responded more positively to this facial than any before it, and I've had a dozen or so professional facials in my life, several with Eminence products. Usually my skin is sensitive and breaks out afterwards (which, ) but despite the extractions, I only had a couple spots pop up and they resolved themselves within 48 hours. I feel glowy and radiant. I visited Bliss Organic Day Spa for a massage with a friend who was moving to NY. My 90 minute massage was very nice, however, compared to other spas I've visited (Osmosis, private ones) there were no scents in the room, no scented oils, etc. For me, having scents makes me relax and float away. No scents were even offered to me, however my friend who was getting a massage in another room was offered scents. Also, while the door remained open the masseuse asked me about any medical conditions that might hinder the massage or any areas to stay away from, or concentrate on. Other spas have always closed the door when discussing private matters. On a separate note, my friend and I require an elevator and so when my friend made the appointment, she asked about an elevator and she was told it was on the side of the building. She was also given a code to get into the door that leads to the elevator. Needless to say, parking on N Main St in Sebastopol is not the most convenient for 2 people who would need to use an elevator. Finally, after walking and walking around the side of the building uphill, we found the door. My friend put in the code to unlock the door and it didn't work. She tried numerous times then called the front desk. The gal gave us 2 other codes to try and neither of those worked . By now we are very stressed as we are late for our appointment. The gal came down to let us in and tried the codes again. None worked. It seemed to me that this portion of the instructions should have been correct. It was so discouraging. AND, there was parking on the side of the building near the elevator doors and across at RiteAid that we were never told about. read more

I hadn't gotten a massage in years because I'm really picky about my massages, and hadn't yet found a new regular massage therapist after my former one moved out of state. I had a crick in my neck last month, however, which forced me to use a gift certificate from Bliss that my friend had bought me. I did a quick internet search to see if anyone had written anything good (or bad) about my assigned massage therapist, Brenden, and his reviews were so good I went ahead and booked the appointment. I know everyone has different likes/dislikes around their massages but my own preference, a mix of Swedish and deep tissue, was knocked out of the ballpark by Brenden. He's extremely intuitive and will work any knot out of your system...he even somehow unjammed two of my toes that had been jammed for years and I'd resigned myself to living with the injury. If you're looking for an intuitive massage therapist I highly recommend Brenden, and he also told me you can't go wrong with any of the other massage therapists at Bliss . Enjoy! read more

I did the "Be Deep" 90min deep-tissue massage with Brenden this week. It was amazing -- really the best massage I've had. I know that my muscles are generally tight and I had a number of knots. The massage was like a workout! Brenden put so much care and energy into working out all the areas of tension, even those I didn't know were there! And he was super respectful and made the entire experience really comfortable emotionally. I'd been experiencing low back pain for years and while it's not 100% totally gone, it's remarkably improved and been getting better each day since the massage, which leads me to believe that he managed to re-align things and that the pain will keep reducing as my back gets used to being better. My first ever real spa experience and it was pretty fantastic thanks to my girlfriend. We came for a couples massage and I was blown away with the completeness of it all - we had the place to ourselves and even a dedicated room to change into robes and slippers. Little touches like honeybush tea and Belgian chocolate were much appreciated too. Our masseuses did a great job, adjusting pressure to our comfort. Bear in mind that the deep tissue work here is geared more towards relaxing you rather than really getting in there to break up trigger points and knots. Certainly different than the massages I normally seek out, but thoroughly enjoyable and relaxing beyond belief. read more

I had a beautiful experience at this amazing spa!  I booked a massage using the online booking system, which was a breeze.  This was my first time to Bliss, and I didn't know any of the therapists.  The system picked Xander for me which turned out to be exactly right.  Xander is a gifted massage therapist.  He is extremely intuitive and seemed to know exactly what I needed.  It felt like my massage was tailored just for me and that there was so much thoughtfulness, attention, and intention in everything he did.  Xander is a great listener and checked in with me often during the massage.
