Strawberries are now available and they're so good! This place is great - the staff are very nice and helpful. They take pride in their products (BLT sandwiches not available yet as the tomatoes aren't good enough for a BLT. Respect.) We had lunch there and got the grilled chicken with bacon and a chicken salad sandwich. The chicken salad was so good I bought some to take home. Don't sleep on the shrimp salad either. Shrimps were plump, there was just enough mayo, and it was seasoned well..I bet the shrimp were poached in a vegetable and herb broth because they were so juicy and flavorful. The chicken salad has the tiniest bits of apple and halved grapes but the salad itself isn't sweet. Loved it. We bought two containers of strawberries - they're sweet/tart, smelled incredible and were really great condition - no bruised strawberries here! If in the area, definitely come and visit. read more

What an unexpected surprise. Don't let the name fool you. It's a lot more than produce. I found their prepared foods to be very good. Bought a walnut bundt cake which I'd never heard of -- delectable. The apple cider donuts are hearty. Given all the outdoor seating, I decided to have lunch at the last minute; went with a salad called deli sampler. It features scoops of crab salad, egg salad and tuna salad on lettuce and other crunchy, yummy veggies. It's outstanding. A big selection of jarred and canned foods is offered throughout this multifaceted roadside stand. There's jams and pickles galore. Picked up an Emily Produce's brand of jalapeno jelly and like it a lot. The produce overall is quality. The broccoli, carrots (gargantuan sized), sweet corn, and lettuce I took home were lovely. A mound of sweet potatoes however, had holes in them, subpar. The special price of $15 to carry as many pumpkins as possible in one try without dropping them was a hilarious challenge. The staff aided customers with helpful hints as to how to get the most. Hordes of fathers lined up, determined to outdo each other and to impress their kids. Fun stuff. I have been going to Emily's Produce for years and probably won't return. This year the produce was not as good as previously. They have downsized all the plants and vegetables. Of downsizing of portions and less variety of to choose from. The staff was not as friendly nor welcoming as in previous years. I drive from the Western Shore to come to Emily's but sad to say no more. I can get better quality at the Amish Market in Annapolis without the ride and they are always very friendly and welcoming. It is a shame I grew up on the Eastern Shore and enjoy the local Maryland produce. read more

I love the rural-ish lifestyle of Maryland's Eastern Shore and I have a significant appreciation and fascination for the agrarian subculture of the sho'. The overall experienced lived up to my first impression. Emily's Produce is a lovely produce stand located in Cambridge not too far off of US-50 (maybe five minutes?). We received an enthusiastic and friendly greeting from both the resident goats and the employees. In fact, all the employees were engaging and friendly. Since we visited in the fall there were beautiful mums, pumpkins and gourds everywhere. Given the reasonable prices, I loaded up on the gourds. We also had to check out the bakery case which was full of locally made goodies. We got two pumpkin roll slices to go and enjoyed that sweet treat later in the day. This place is a really great, family-run operation. They have plants and flower baskets, fresh produce, jams and sauces, homemade bakery goods, and all kinds of specialty items. I have driven by several times before, but today, I planned my trip to allow time to stop. There are SO many choices it is hard to know where to start. I purchased a half dozen ears of sweet corn (at a bargain price), luscious fresh peaches, a loaf of blueberry bread, some granola, and a sunflower plant. They also have a refrigerated section and a counter in the back. There is plenty of outdoor seating. The staff at Emily's was SO helpful and friendly. Don't miss this place. I have stopped at Emily's about fifty times and usually love the service and quality, not to mention the bustling atmosphere. The ice cream they sell is the absolute creamiest and perfectly sweet. On my most recent trip I decided to purchase a desert pie. I was very disappointed. There was no crust under the pie past the first inch from the edge and the blueberries were the consistency of a jam. The entire middle was simply mush. I still give them four stars based on prior experience but I hope they improve the pies. read more

One of Cambridge's hidden gems! While it's a bit off the downtown path, well worth the ride over. I'm a huge fan of the Scottish Highlanders ice cream from Oxford, and so happy they carry it. I have to say I was disappointed in their local burger. There was nothing local about this, maybe the lettuce. I did everything I could do to choke down the frozen dry hockey puck they called a burger. I haven't eaten here in a couple years and was surprised they served out back in a food truck. I've had Emily's buttery, delightfully juicy/oozy berry pies 3 or 4 times, and they've consistently been fresh, balanced, and delicious.
