Emma is truly a superstar. There are not enough good things to say about her in a review. We received our wedding photos a couple weeks ago, and they are incredible. Emma and her assistant (I am so sorry that I am forgetting her name) were able to capture everything we loved about that day. We got so many photos as part of our package, and there are no duds. It is an impossible task to go through and pick our favorites. The photos are the part of the wedding that last forever, and we could not be happier that we went with Emma. What my wife and I were drawn to about Emma's photos when we were shopping around, and what we saw reflected in our own photos, is her ability to capture little moments. She has a great sense for when something subtle but meaningful is happening, like a family member starting to tear up, or a speechgiver's friend in the crowd laughing at their joke. That's what is really valuable about the photos to us, and something I am not sure every photographer can get you. She is also a consummate professional. She is efficient and purposeful-she makes sure she captures all the important moments without consuming your whole day with photos. She provides clear instructions, which is helpful as the wedding couple, but is even more helpful when you are taking family photos with several different combinations of people. Emma is also so kind and lovely to be around. I normally do not like having photos taken of me, and it can be uncomfortable to be in that many photos, making serious faces, and allowing someone in during a highly emotional day. Emma makes that whole process comfortable and enjoyable. You can tell she has a real passion for doing this and truly enjoys getting to know the couples. Her friendliness and confidence put you at ease. This is a really important point-you spend as much time with the photographer on your wedding day as anyone else! Emma is a great person to spend that time with. I also want to note that all of the above is also true of Emma's assistant. Again, I am so sorry I am forgetting her name. But she was in charge of getting most of the groom and groomsmen photos at the beginning of the ceremony, and was such a pleasure to work with. Emma was the best choice we made (in terms of wedding planning). She is the most talented photographer {in San Diego} and I feel more than lucky to have had her photograph our wedding/engagements. She is extremely good at capturing the most beautiful moments. She encourages you to talk and joke and love like always which makes your photos so real and so emotional. Emma took the most special photos of my grandmother and mom helping me put on my wedding dress. Since my grandmother is aging and was unsure she would be able to travel to San Diego for the wedding, these are moments I will hold in my heart forever. No amount of words can express how grateful I am to have found Emma. I didn't want to spend too much money on my wedding, but I was willing to pay whatever amount for my photographer. Once I saw Emma's work on her instagram (a year before my wedding) I contacted her right away and made my deposit. I was not going to lose her LOL. Since I am from Dallas, the first time I met her was during the engagement shoot. It was raining that day, but she was down to get wet. She made my husband and I feel really comfortable because we are very camera shy... I was a bit nervous to see our pictures because during the shoot I really thought we were awkward, but once she sent it over I was shocked! My husband and I looked like naturals haha. I was sooo excited to see what she was going to capture at our wedding. Fast forward to about a week ago when I received our wedding photos.. *Side note, she is really fast at editing and getting your pictures to you. She charged $75 for digital pictures for a softball team. We could have taken the damn pictures ourselves and then printed them out.

Emma truly is as good as a photographer can get. I was introduced to her because we had mutual friends and she photographed one of my close friend's wedding that I was a bridesmaid in. As soon as I got engaged I knew I had to have her as my photographer. First, she is incredibly talented at capturing candid moments and making them so raw and beautiful. You will never have to be concerned about looking awkward in your pictures because she finds the love and happiness that you naturally exude and captures it perfectly. It's truly amazing work! She also edits all of her photos with the most gorgeous presets and colors. I've taken a lot of pictures outdoors with her, and I'm always amazed at how rich and warm the lighting and surrounding environment looks as well!! But probably my favorite thing about Emma is how fun and sweet she is!! Most individuals or couples might feel nervous or awkward taking professional pictures for the first few times. I know my fiance/husband and I definitely thought we would feel that way! Emma is absolutely fabulous! She's not only extremely talented, but she was so much fun to work with! She has a way of making you feel comfortable in front of the camera without feeling too staged or stiff. She has the skill of conveying your emotions throughout her photos, not to mention I love the way she uses natural light to her advantage. Emma photographed my proposal/engagement pictures and I was amazed with how well she worked with my husband prior to the proposal. They worked together to find the perfect spot, the perfect time for it to happen, and kept the location clear of tourists for the perfect shot!
