I forget how many times we've stayed there - 8 or 9, I think. We've gone alone and also have brought our friends up. We try to rent a different house every time. Although all of the Swiss style homes are similar, each one has it's own charm (one is right at the top of a mountain, one has a second fireplace at the indoor pool, one has an amazing spa/pool on the deck, etc). They allow you to bring your dogs for a very small fee of $10 per night which is perfect for us, we bring our two Chihuahuas everywhere. Choose between having a hot tub or a pool.....or you can have both. Choose between 1 bedroom all the way up to 6 bedrooms. They have about 30 different fully equipped homes that will absolutely make you happy, whatever you're looking for. The family that runs it is absolutely lovely and so helpful. We'll be back!

The kitchen had everything we needed to cook our own meals every day, which saved tons of money (restaurants in Montreal are expensive). The best part of the apartment is the gorgeous deck, where we spent every evening enjoying dinner, wine, and relaxing. The apartment is about a 10-15 minute walk to Marche Jean-Talon, which is the first thing we did in Montreal-- stocked up on tons of fresh fruits, veggies, local meats and eggs and bread. The apartment is only 5 minutes walk to the Beaubien Metro (subway), which we used almost every day to explore the sights of Montreal. The subway is clean and extremely efficient, and cost-effective if you buy an Opus card. Alain was a nice host (he and his wife live downstairs), and although we didn't need anything, he made sure we knew we could always knock on his door if we did. The rental process itself was easy, and he immediately refunded to us our security deposit after we checked out. Overall, a wonderful experience, and we can't wait to go back!

It was a super time, even though not all the animals in the park come in close proximity to your vehicle. The park provides English and French FM radio narrations with interesting details accompanying you while advancing along the car trail. My family had been here 11 years before, but the last trip I made to a place like this was NJ's Jungle Habitat in my teens. They knew to bring along bags of carrots, since you can feed certain animals. (If you don't BYOC, i.e., "Bring Your Own Carrots," you can buy them there.) You're mostly limited to deer type animals and discouraged from feeding males, since it's mating season. That being said, the male deer seemed docile and everyone disregarded that instruction. (Of course, do so at your own risk!) With different habitats, there were wild boar, bears, white wolves, caribou, to name a few - but we didn't feed these. The park staff does keep those all well fed. An Alpine Ibex did approach our car, eager for carrots. We did bypass the petting zoo portion, due to adjacent parking lots being full. While I would have enjoyed looping around a 2nd time, the others were frustrated with the traffic and decided it was time. Even though we tried to avoid the peak times, it seemed that wasn't the case. Definitely, Parc Omega is a wonderful experience, more engaging than a zoo. It's especially great fun for kids of all ages!!!

This time, we wanted a bit more quiet and stayed at the old village, which was the best choice to appreciate the local culture and enjoy relaxation and quiet nights. Club Privilege Mont Tremblant Voliere resembles the original layouts of old Residence Inns, with separate buildings housing five or six units of different sizes. It has a separate driveway off Chemin de Village and has two small parking areas which on high season, could likely become overcrowded. There is a pool which is un heated, and unserviceable in the Winter. Apparently the management used to have coffee in the morning or breakfast, but if so, it must be in non-winter season as the room was always empty. The units are small and cozy with newer propane fireplaces. We stayed in a two-bedroom, two-bath condo. Although small and perhaps tired, the units are quite efficient and were enough for our family of five people. The en-suite bathroom on the master bedroom was small, and with a shower so small that a large person wouldn't even be able to bend. The one thing that stood out was that the units were very clean. Kitchens are well equipped with refrigerators, range and oven, dishwasher, microwave, coffee maker and toaster. As well as a large storage space. The location of the complex is superb. Six minute walk to the Old Village center with its iconic Hotel Mont Tremblant. Three minute walk to the bus stop to the resort. Two minutes to the grocery store. Two minutes to the ice skating center. Enviable. Overall it was exactly what we needed.

We recently had a very disappointing experience at the Privilege Mont-Tremblant-Voliere #2272…read moreSitelle 4. Throughout the week, we had to deal with persistant flies in the bathroom, despite our best offert to keep the window closed. Moreover, there was a consistant foul smell that permeated the room creating an uncomfortable environment all week. As it turns out, those flies are drain flies and they are attracted to sewage and filth because where they lay eggs and breed. There are commonly found around leaking pipes or faulty bathroom drains. This explains the foul smell we put up with all week. At the beginning of our stay we asked for another condo and they say no that they were fully booked. To compound our disappointment, the presence of ongoing construction drilling noise in the foundation of our condo was significant nuisance. The disturbance began at around 9:00-9:30am with workers engaging activities such as talking, digging, and moving equipment. Later in the day, the sound of drilling into the foundation became particularly disruptive. This constant noise made it impossible to relax, read, watch tv or concentrate on work--one of us needed to complete remote work during our stay. I made an effort to address these issues with the hotel staff, but I was met with indifference. Their response, suggesting that there was nothing they could as the construction had to continue, left me feeling unheard and frustrated. It would have been appreciated if we had been informed in advance of the plan of the construction, allowing us to make an informed decision about our stay. As a result, we spent an entire day with windows closed to minimize noise, and we had to keep the blinds shut to maintain privacy, as our room was situated on the ground floor. Upon our return I contacted RCI Timeshare and their response was "RCI does not own or manage affiliated resorts; therefore, we have no control over refurbishment schedules" and then they did a copy and paste of : "In the future, if a concern arises during your RCI vacation exchange, it is imperative that you work directly with resort staff to resolve the matter.  It is ultimately each resort's responsibility to ensure its facility is well maintained and offers guests an enjoyable vacation experience.  Should you be dissatisfied with the outcome, please contact RCI during your stay.  By contacting us, you allow us the opportunity to respond to your concerns immediately." Had I known earlier what those flies were I would have never stayed in that condo! I really never expected that kind of condo rental. I really think this was a health concern for my family to breath that foul smell all week and have those flies in the bathroom constantly. Overall, this experience was far from the peaceful stay we anticipated, and I cannot in good conscience recommend this establishment to others. And I would have a hard time recommending anyone to purchase a RCI Timeshare! It wasn't worth the extra $420 and my RCI points I had to pay for the week.

(SUMMARY AT THE END)…read more The family decided to treat itself to a luxury chalet rental for our summer vacation. We wanted a place with plenty of space, waterfront and, since we'd be travelling with 2 kids under three, not too far from Montreal. Luckily we already heard of Chalets Oasis. (Yes it's part of the Fiddler Lake gated community but it's a long/weird complicated story that seems to punish Chalets Oasis renters) So at 600$+ a night we found our luxury rental. Every aspect related to booking and renting went perfectly. The week leading up to the rental date I found myself taking the initiative to know things such as the access code, which, for the price I found odd but dismissed. Also checkin was at 4:00 (total waste of a day)! Again, a bit surprised considering the price. There was an option for early checkin at noon but I had to inquire. Chalets Oasis should always assume early checkin is preferable. It costs an additional (somewhat insulting) 35$ but I would have paid for it. Upon our arrival we noticed the outside was littered with cigarette butts and shards of glass. Look don't get me wrong, it was a great location, a huge house and plenty of amenities. It's clear however the owners do NOT even visit here otherwise they would have noticed that: - most hinges and door handles need to be replaced - bathtub stoppers don't work (remember kids) - loose/cracked tiles here and there - and other tiny details that most people probably wouldn't care about Again I refer to the price and suggest that Chalets Oasis needs to focus on the final touches and stop continuing to kick the repair can down the road
