We decided to do a super easy and untraditional Christmas dinner this year. Instead of turkey and cranberries and such, we did fondue. First course, cheese with roasted vegetables (broccoli, Brussels sprouts and small bits of a baguette). Second course, oil with chunks of tenderloin and shrimp. Third course, chocolate with strawberries, bananas and pineapple.
So we're here with that first course and this block of "Swiss Knight" by Emmi was perfect. Fondue cheese from Switzerland. Open the container, pour it into a into the fondue serving pot and microwaved it for about three minutes. Served on a small stand and with fondue forks that we got from Amazon. A tea light was underneath to keep it hot.
When done, almost no dishes to clean up. No sore feet. No dishwasher having to run a second time because there were too many dishes!
Super easy and amazingly delicious! Man, we need to do this more often!
