I ordered 3 entrees, all 3 were missing something, the Birria Quesadilla did not come with rice and beans on the side, the Burrito Jalisco, also no sides, it did have a tiny sour cream and tiny pico on the side. . the steak fajitas was the problem, there was a dish with meat and onions, but no tortillas were provided and no cheese, lettuce or tomato on the side. a seperate dish was provided with rice and beans in them. for the price of the meals - takeout left a lot to be desired. the taste of the food was fine. but half of it was missing. I've noticed a trend with many places around here using empanada warmers. Sorry but when I want an empanada, I'd prefer that it be nice and hot. My friend and I went here on a whim after having Icecream at Snack Shack :) Firstly, I loved the place's bright colors and the beautiful display of fruits. Wait time in the line was less than 2 minutes and overall wait time was less than 30 minutes. My order: Churroooo, Spinach & cheese empanada & strawberry lemonade. Loved all of them. My friend's order: Beef & cheese empanadas & cheese steak. Food was made-to-order and I loved how everything tasted fresh and yum. Churro was hot-hot from the fryer:) Price is reasonable as well. Only thing is the seating as it can get congested if many people are dining. So, recommend it for drive-through and takeout. I might try the banana Nutella empanada next time hehe. We have been driving by Empanada King for a couple of years and finally stopped to give it a try. There are a few tables to sit at but it is more of a carryout kind of atmosphere. The staff was quick to take our order and prepare our empanadas to go. We tried buffalo chicken, cheese, spinach and ricotta, beef, and a corn patty. All were delicious! I can't believe we waited so long to try these! They are soooooooo good! They are perfectly fried and not very greasy. They have a ton of fillings to choose from. We are addicted and have probably been there 4 times in the past 2 weeks! My fave are the beef and buffalo chicken. I still want to try the chorizo and guava. It's a nice, clean, restaurant with a few tables and chairs for dining in but most of the people who came in just got their food to go. The girl at the counter was friendly and helpful in explaining what everything we saw was. I ordered the chicken and cheese and my friend ordered the beef and cheese as well as the chicken and cheese. We also split a sorullo and cheese and both got the passion fruit juice. The empanadas were good, not the best I've ever had but they were good. My friend said he enjoyed the beef and cheese more than the chicken and cheese. Horrible customer service. Everyone I know that has ate here has always ended up with hair in their food. Truly need to learn to wear hair nets, clearly they don't make sure their hair is tied up. Plus they only serve to Hispanic's past closing time, which is very discriminatory in my opinion. It seem to be the going trend for alot of these spanish restaurants that have open in wilkes barre to treat certain customer with bad service or no service at all. But I was willing to give this place a shot because a friend (who was not black) suggested it. I ordered 3 spanish and cheese empanadas and was told it would be only 20 minutes. 45 minutes later. After waiting for other customers that were spanish or white come in after me and order and get their food in a timely manner. I was about to be skipped again when I asked what was taken my order so long.
