Unfortunately, I ordered my usual brisket melt sandwich and was disappointed given the amount of fat. The French fries were tasty as was the chocolate cake for desert which was decadent. Food and Fire kind of resemble a place by my old house called BJ's Brewhouse with it's industrial setting. Not so much a sports bar but has enough TVs for people to watch all types of games. However, I find the seating arrangement to be slightly sparse and empty, maybe could move a table or two and add a few more covers. Food is pretty good but needs salt all the way across the board. Had the smoke bombs and even the cream cheese was pretty bland. But, the smoky bacon carried the appetizer. Had the pit burger and it's pretty large, with the fries if you eat the whole meal you'll be stuffed. The bbq has quite the smoky kick which is nice, but lingers in your mouth and gut after. My wife got the pulled pork platter and her meat was greasy but not bad. Sister in law had brisket quesadillas which she liked. In town for a WBS Penguins game. Found this place close to the hotel in the shopping area close to the base of Montage Mountain. It's a regionally-owned chain. On to the food.... The cornbread bites were small, a bit bland, and crumbly. Not super dry but definitely mot moist. Reminded me of box mix. Onion rings were battered, served hot and were tasty. Not overcooked and oil was not old. They sprinkle their dry rub on top. Gives a BBQ potato chip vibe - little sweet - little (very little) spice. Hubs had cedar plank salmon. Was cooked to order. He asked for medium well - was cooked moist. Asparagus was good and not overcooked. The red beans and rice were on the dryer side with very little spice. He said they were simply "ok". I had a two meat sampler with deviled potato salad and rustic fries. The fries were disappointing to me. They were "rustic" with a bit of skin. But they were coated in cornstarch or flour (which I do not like - just my personal preference). Tasted like typical frozen fries. The deviled potato salad had no eggs to be found, had a redish hue which tasted like they put dry BBQ rub in the salad. It tasted ok but was actually a bit dry like paper maché. The brisket was disappointing. Flavor was good but was chewy and a bit dry. It did have a nice bit of bark but was not super moist or melt in your mouth. The ribs were also disappointing. I opted for wet. I did like the sauce and did not try any others at the table. They were not fall off the bone and were actually quite dried out on the end. Walked into the restaurant and was amazed at the entire atmosphere, they have an amazing sitting style that will satisfy the couple or the largest group. The people working at the restaurant are friendly and very welcoming, especially when I'm a very pain to deal with sometimes. I ordered the ribeye and so did my phenomenal and most beautiful girlfriend. We both had the ribeye with Mac -n- cheese I had the sweet potato fries and she had the normal cut fries. Everything was cooked to perfection. I joined the club for points and the one thing that truly impressed me the most was their whiskey/bourbon pour. Really mediocre and not worth the price. The menu looks great and the restaurant has a lot of seating but coming in here on a Friday night with it mostly empty might have been a signal. Nothing special about the fried pickles, the gator tacos were supposed to come with cilantro slaw and avocado and came with neither. Whoever was in the back put the same bland mustard slaw that I got with the brisket in there as if I wouldn't notice. Zero chance this brisket was sliced to order as claimed on the menu as it was dry as could be and for the price a horrible value. Everything tasted like it was sitting all day.
