Meeting her wasn't like meeting a new vendor, but more like gaining a new friend. We decided on Halina as she provided the most flexible option in terms of choosing our own materials, and she is extremely careful with giving a detailed quote so that the client can see the complete breakdown. Halina helped us with a full kitchen and bathroom renovation. We had a modern kitchen but hated the look. I showed her my Pinterest board which she immediately understood my vision. She brought in an amazing cabinet maker (millworker) who did fabulous custom cabinets for us. I am an avid baker and cook and wanted the small kitchen to be as functional as possible. Halina accommodated with bringing in the millworker who mapped out our entire space for maximum efficiency. This included pull out spice cabinets, utensil cabinets, toe kick and pull out trash bin. We had a custom color sprayed on the lower cabinets and they look and function beautifully; with soft closing drawers and inlay cabinet doors. The bathroom was definitely a complete overhaul. We did a bathtub to shower conversion with hexagon tile flooring, subway tile walls. Halina made sure that all the plumbing was good to go, and while this was a slightly difficult process for us to live without running water for a little bit, the end result is well worth it! We have a beautiful bathroom that makes me feel like I am at a resort every day. The tile work is very well done. As far as change orders, Halina doesn't start anything without asking us. We had a few things that we wanted to change that were on our part - and the prices were fairly reasonable. What we paid at the end was very close to what we were quoted in the beginning. Overall, we are extremely thrilled with our renovation from Aspiro Renovations. Halina's dedication to excellence and continued support is (she has helped us even after the renovation is over) is much appreciated.

Martin was always open to suggestions and changes. He was great at working together and in sync with the cabinet maker, and the countertop builder/designer, nobody had to delay their part of the project to finish our renovation. Martin's crew opened all the walls in our kitchen, living room and bathroom, and they prepared the water and gas connections, and replaced all the electrical wiring for the new appliances, light fixtures and a new electrical panel for the whole apartment. In the bathroom they installed a new bathtub with glass doors, sink, toilet, shower head and a medicine cabinet, they did the tile work for the walls and the floor, and the electrical wiring for the main light fixture and for the medicine cabinet. In the living room, they removed partially a wall and created a small dinning area and pantry section behind a wall. They also installed new gallery style lighting, and a light fixture over our dining table, and they put electrical outlets in every wall of the apartment, bringing all the electrical up to code and into de 21st century. For the kitchen, we hired an incredible cabinet maker that designed and built ours in the kitchen and a pantry unit in our hallway. We also hired a specialist on granite counter tops for our kitchen. Martin's crew prepared the walls for the new cabinets and they did the tile work on the walls and floor in the kitchen, and helped to set the countertops Martin was in charge of demolition, dry wall, electrical wiring and appliances installation, tile work in kitchen and bathroom, plumbing work in the kitchen and bathroom; also in charge of carpentry by building closets, installing sliding and regular doors, installing and finishing wooden floors, and painting the whole apartment. We met with a lot of contractors but none of them gave the price and great customer service the way Vinny and Justin did! They came out right away and were able to give us a quote that was more than fair especially for the big job we needed done. Vinny even worked with our insurance adjustor. Justin is super responsive and supportive and always made sure we were heard and our needs were met. Roy, Selvin, and Manuel are amazing at what they do. We had a vision of what we wanted for our bathroom and they executed perfectly. We liked them so much we hired them to replace our gutters and replace our basement bathroom and fix our laundry area. I put in a request on a Tuesday for a Thursday build and they were able to make it happen!! I was immediately impressed by the quick turnaround and prompt email communication. Margaret informed me that the contractors would arrive between 8:00-9:00am to get it done before 3:00pm. My previous experiences with some contractors led me to believe they would arrive a bit later than anticipated... but lo and behold, at 8:00am sharp they arrived! Arby walked me through my options and we plotted out both rooms and dimensions with his handy dandy tape measure. He answered all my questions, made some great suggestions, and maintained that he would be happy to do whatever I wanted. He and his building partner worked efficiently and communicated with me via text to let me know how much time they needed. We got sliding doors + t-wall construction and couldn't be happier with the result. Though it was a bit more costly than my roommate and I anticipated, the positive experience and the high-quality of the walls (plus the cost of removing the walls is all included as long as you give them 1 month's notice) made me feel happy and at ease. If I ever need temporary walls again, I'll be coming to MPW! My one tip: double check with the building and management regarding their flex walls rules! This wasn't MPW's fault, but my building prohibited floor to ceiling walls, which was a bit disappointing to find out for privacy reasons. Know your building policies!!

The wall held up really nicely the past 3 years and our guests were always so surprised to learn that the wall was a flex wall and not a part of the apartment's original layout. The removal process was also super seamless. We reached out via email 4 weeks in advance and made arrangements for them to knock it down. I've had some mixed experiences with general contractors in the past (nothing terrible, just nothing remarkable either), so the whole time we were kind of waiting for the other shoe to drop... and then the project just finished. And that was that. Just a quick and painless 8 weeks and our 3 Bed 2 Bath apartment was finished and ready to rent. A little bit about our situation. We're first time homeowners, and simultaneously needed to close on the sale while renovating the second rental unit in a two family house. It was very stressful since there was a lot of different factors at play. We interviewed three GCs who all seemed great, but by the time Danny was finished meeting with us I had a feeling that he was the best fit. He was more detailed with his analysis, brought up some unique ideas for potential upgrades (without upselling), and brought up some ideas for future improvements of our building that I had independently been researching at length. He clearly had a vision for how to take our building into the 21st century. And beyond that, he pointed out an important tip for dealing with ConEd that immediately saved us a few thousand dollars. After getting his bid, he wasn't the cheapest quote but he provided a very detailed breakdown of the work involved, where the costs were attributed and helped us target areas to save money. He also provided a realistic estimate of the time it would take to complete: 6-8 weeks. Most importantly, he understood exactly what we were trying to do, which was provide the necessary improvements to a unit that hadn't been upgraded since 1960 in a budget friendly way without neglecting the crucial details which would come back to bite us in the ass in a few years. This comes back to the core advantage of D & A which is "value." Very soon after agreeing to proceed, construction began at lightning pace. Danny brought in his expert team, lead by foreman, Gonzalo (who I'm convinced can do literally any task you ask him to on a house). Throughout the process, the team would slightly expand or contract depending on what stage of the process we were in. They're very polite, and take up a small footprint in your neighborhood. Danny would focus on logistics, quality management and ensuring that things were shaping up to our expectations. With this being an investment property, he scoured his ample connections throughout the city and found some of the most smoking hot deals on high quality materials. Vanities, cabinets, tubs, shower bodies, soundproof insulation, and on and on. He was incredibly helpful with the material process and picked everything up within reason. This was another thing that surprised me about him compared to other contractors that would stick the entire thing on us (sourcing and picking up). Throughout the process, communication remained superb at all times. As we continued with the construction, me and my wife decided that we wanted to change the plan significantly, and soundproof all our bedrooms (which is a HUGE undertaking). Danny was very helpful and understanding with this process, and broke down all the additional expenses in depth. Most contractors would have just told me "forget it" but Danny isn't afraid of ripping things apart to do it right. Even with this massive setback, he still managed to finish days ahead of his ORIGINAL schedule. I'm convinced that even though he's not the cheapest GC, he is by far the best value that you can find. He will maximize your investment in every possible way. And not only with construction. We had recently moved to the area, and Danny practically has the keys to the city with his level of connections and referrals. Throughout the process he was there to listen to my concerns, develop our ideas and offer helpful guidance along the way. Even after construction was finished, he still followed up to hear how everything went and make sure we were set up for success as new homeowners. Anybody would be lucky to have someone of such high moral character and intelligence helping them through one of the hardest processes you can go through as a homeowner. I know this is an outrageously long review, but I'm hoping if you've made it this far that this is the push you need to feel good about making the right choice and getting Danny involved on your project.
