Every visit to Empire Dermatology is a break from the cranky receptionists, ego driven doctors and overall depressive state of most doctor offices. The waiting room is clean, doesn't look like it escaped from the -970's and even manages to have chairs with no holes poked in then. Dr. Singer might be an actual angel... or as a NSCLC IV recovery patient the only true doctor I see. She is knowledgeable, thorough, pleasant, answers questions without attitude and makes certain you are comfortable. I go for skin checks, so the other side of the business I'm unfamiliar with but if you have skin, and I know you do, and you have moles, which you likely do, I'd definitely get yearly checks here. aesthetician services: i had a facial very painful NO STEAM to open pores. Left scabs. just to clarify I wasn't expecting a spa facial by any means. Clerk was more interested in her "party life style", why I am not wearing a wedding band, how perfect/fit she is. Will not be back for these services . Very unprofessional. read more

I was not happy with the results of my $2000 filler injections. Left mutiple messages and did not hear back from anyone with any knowledge or authority. Sent a detailed letter to the Office Manager and never got a response. Horrible customer service! Very disappointed as I was a long time customer and brought many other customers the the practice. read more

I called in January because my pharmacist insisted that I get a mole looked at he noticed during my covid shot. I had unfortunately enrolled with a scam marketplace insurance, but my bank and I resolved it and I had Fidelis effective the 1st of the month. I called Empire right then and made an appointment over two months away. Today, less than a week later, they want to reschedule, something about a doctor who took Fidelis being on maternity leave and no other doctor would take me, but they'll call me when someone else, who has no doubt been waiting over 2 months for their appointment cancels they will fit me in. I don't understand how they could not have known a doctor was going on maternity leave over two months ago, what the deal is with some doctors taking Fidelis and others not, the over two month wait and the absolute disregard for my fears and feelings about the urgency of this matter. If there was any other option, I am kind of an uneasy driver and I can't even find another dermatologist close by, I would go to a dermatology office that actually cares about people. If I ever get in with an actual doctor at Empire, I will happily update this review but right now I would not recommend this place; the only problem is I can't recommend an alternative. read more

I was referred by my dermatologist to have a cancerous MOHS taken off. A week before the procedure Empire called and changed the appointment, the caller said the doctor did not want to do procedures on Wednesday's any more! My wife and I drove the 80 miles to Syracuse this morning to have the scheduled procedure done. I was told they would not do the procedure because they do not accept my insurance. You would think a professional organization like this would check ahead of time to see if the insurance was one that they would accept! It is going to take weeks, If not months to get this HOHS taken care of now! Meanwhile I have to worry about it spreading! This is a very poorly run business / doctor's office! I would not recommend them to anyone for anything! read more

Referred here by my PCP, wait months for a consult, schedule the treatment, get a phone call a week later that they don't have the equipment, and then a bill for the consult when my PCP already told them what was up. Was referred to another office with absolutely no professionalism and was treated like crap. Called about the bill, for the consult to see if what my doctor told them was true, and ended up paying it anyway because "you did come in for a consult". Which wasn't necessary since they didn't even have the proper equipment for the job. TLDR; waste of time and money to be referred to another office that'll treat you like shit. read more

I was looking for a new dermatologist and found this place. And boy am I happy I did. The staff was beyond friendly- happy to answer any question and just generally in a happy mood, which you could feel being passed throughout the office from staff to patients. The office itself was clean and modern, plenty of chairs to wait in but the wait time wasn't long at all, maybe 5 minutes. Upon seeing Dr. Tracey I knew I found a great place. She too was kind, friendly and listened to what you had to say and did a thorough examination. This place really is a breath of fresh air compared to other offices that are just pumping people in and out so fast. read more

When I found out I had atypical cells in a mole my GP removed, I was naturally worried. I was referred to Empire Dermatology and am SO glad I was. The doctor was so pleasant and reassuring. The surgery was comfortable and we joked through it. The doctor got all the skin cancer and no further treatment is needed except regular checkups. I also went to another doctor there for an injectable and she was fantastic as well. They will be seeing a lot of me in the future since I will be going for my checkups and injectables for as long as they are around. Staff is amazingly friendly and wait times are around five to 10 minutes tops. I highly recommend this office for serious issues as well as cosmetic ones. read more
