I was visiting Syracuse from Silicon Valley and decided to try Fresh out for a manicure. I'm so glad I did! Everyone there was more friendly than any nail tech I've ever experienced in CA and the manicure was excellent and reasonably priced. The salon is in a cool converted home and truly seems part of the neighborhood. It smelled delicious inside - I never got even a whiff of that usual antiseptic strong nail spa smell. I needed acrylic nails removed and was dreading the usual discomfort and rough treatment of having them chipped and drilled off. Instead they were gently removed and my nails beneath were preserved. I'm embarrassed that I cannot remember the nail tech's name but she was amazing. She suggested a dip manicure and they had lots of great colors to choose from. The experience was completed with a wonderful house made gingerbread hand scrub and lotion. I left with awesome nails and also bought a tub of the gingerbread lotion. I came in for a gel manicure, lounge pedicure, and a detox soak but I got so much more. I was offered a homemade cappuccino and a sugar cookie and then led back. First, was the detox soak, then ginger bread latte lounge pedicure with real ingredients like coffee, ginger, orange oil, java, and spice used in the scrub and foot masque. This is where the fantasy began... Jamila scrubbed my feet, removing what seemed like 5 years worth of callus and dead skin off the bottom of my feet.  Calluses that had been there so long I assumed they were just a part of my anatomy. After scrubbing my feet, she brought out the steamer and steamed my feet. Steam! I've never experienced a foot steaming and it was heavenly. If you've never had one, go get one TODAY! After the steam, I thought Jamila was going to just rinse it off the scrub masque and begin to polish but no. She used some sort of wonderful glaze and an oil on my skin before massaging with a hot stone. I'VE NEVER HAD A HOT STONE MASSAGE. One again, wonderful! I needed this detox and lounge pedicure more than I even knew I did. Jamila ended with the gel manicure. I loved every minute and will be back for more. read more

Honestly I really wanted to like this place.. They use really good products but the pedicure room is so dark that I don't think she could see what she was doing and my nails looked bad. I don't know... the women there are incredibly nice and awesome people. Syracuse just doesn't have it going on with nails. read more

As you walk in the calmness hits you. It's very quiet and smells amazing. Your offered water,coffee,tea and cookies from Kathy's bakery. I had a snickers cookie. I was there for a pedicure so next I filled out the intake form and picked out the sent I wanted. I opted for cocoa,but there's multiple options. Next I picked out my nail color from a plethora of colors. I was then introduced to Mila who was super friendly and informative. She's the one who did my pedicure. I explained to her my anxiety's of getting my nails done and she was so calming. She explained everything that she was doing and was very reassuring. She was very friendly,talkative and gentle. After reading other reviews booked a pre-wedding manicure here. Nails look beautiful and are holding up nicely. This spa is in a renovated historic building and the owners have done an amazing job. Spotlessly clean inside and while receiving my manicure I got an informative lesson on mani-pedi hygiene and what CAN go wrong if meticulous sanitizing is not the standard. Would recommend Fresh for nail care or a relaxing indulgent facial. read more

Fresh Nail is the go-to place in Syracuse for premier body care. Don't let the name fool you. Besides nail services, they also offer waxing, facials, massages, pedicures, etc. The staff is phenomenal and caters to each client's individual needs. I go primarily for nails and Mila, who is also the owner, does a fantastic job. I am always satisfied when I leave. Each month Fresh also offers special deals. I went for the first time yesterday and I loved it! I bought a mani-pedi from Groupon and loved every minute of it. The place is so small and intimate. It's great. The pedicure room was beautiful! Wooden benches and beautiful bowls for your feet. The lights were dim and the smell of the chamomile and lavender scrub I asked for filled the air. I would have fallen asleep if I could. Penny was my technician and she was great. She was very easy to talk to and even helped me plan a vacation. Haha. My nails came out great and I would definitely come back. read more

This salon is definitely a hidden gem. The staff is absolutely wonderful and friendly. Three of us came in for facials of sorts and all had a wonderful experience. It is clean, warm and relaxing in the facial rooms. If I'm ever in Syracuse again, I will be returning! read more

Recently, I returned to Fresh Spa & Lounge after a 10-year hiatus (this was before the new name & new location). The first red flag was a booking issue for a manicure with my fourth visit that later led to many booking issues there after.... Anyway, I think today's scheduled visit was the "ULTIMATE LEVEL OF DISRESPECT!!!!!!" Due to a mix-up with booking for a manicure, I was rescheduled for a day Jamila reports, was an "Off Day", however, she alleges to make an exception for me due to booking error. Anyway, I arrive 15 minutes early expecting to be the only person in the shop today as per our conversation a week prior. But to my surprise, she had booked another client and runs 15 minutes late for my booked manicure appointment. It should be noted that this was an ongoing issue with the Fresh Spa & Lounge. I really wanted to like this place. They use really good products but lack respect for their customer's reserved time. Never again! I left feeling like I wish I had not gone. What was supposed to be a relaxing, fun experience ended up being stressful and insulting. read more
