I needed to see an Orthopedist and this office have availability that met my needs and accepted my insurance so I made the appointment. They have a decent sized parking lot and the exterior of the building is well kept. The lobby is very confusing though as the signage for which practitioners are on which floors is non existent and I was luckily able to ask an employee. Check in while quick was pretty terrible. The woman at the front appeared miserable and was complaining with another employee about all types of things. Wait time was decent and I was seen at my scheduled time which was nice. The nurse was professional and the Orthopedic Doctor was phenomenal! It's a shame though that he will be moving to a NYC office because I would for sure have seen him again. The checkout process was just as terrible as checkin as the same employee was there and didn't provide me with everything the doctor requested she do. Lastly, the interior of the building , including the lobby, hallways, offices and rooms can all use a deep cleaning or facelift with repainting of walls because it just doesn't seem clean clean. I'll be going elsewhere going forward and maybe following the Orthopedist to NYC. read more

The doctors are completely inaccessible. No one picks up the phone when you call and messages are never returned. I needed to speak with my doctor but that's not allowed. I had to schedule a phone appointment for nearly a month later even though it was urgent. Impossible to set up an appointment over the phone since they don't pick the phone up. I had to leave work early and physically go there to speak with someone at the front desk who are beyond unprofessional and rude. Additionally, when you do have an appointment, expect to be seen 2 or 3 hours after your scheduled appointment time. I'm switching doctors. It's unfortunate because I like my doctor but the office is so poorly run it's not worth the pain and suffering. Do yourself a favor and avoid at all costs. WORST place ever. My mom was going for surgery and she needed to ask the doctor a question...2 voicemails...6 online messages and NO RESPONSE...her surgery is over and STILL nothing. I go in for medical clearance for dental work and NP says..you need to get a chest xray please wait around for the xray technician to come in. I wait 35 minutes (after waiting 1 1/2 hours for MY appointment - AND fasting_ to find out she is on vacation....so Im told to come back. So I look at the dental pre-clearance and THEY dont require a chest XRAY so I say that to the NP and she says well I DO and I am NOT clearing you unless you get a chest XRAY... they are just looking to make $$ and could care LESS about their patients read more

I can't even adequately express how disappointed and unimpressed I am with this practice. The first time I visited for an appointment, I had to wait for nearly two hours; when I finally saw the hematologist, he'd received no records and knew nothing about me, despite the fact that I had been sent via a referral. The visit lasted 30 minutes, most of which was spent collecting basic information; it was billed at $427 or so to my insurance. The doctor told me that I should really consider having children, despite the fact that that concern was in no way related to my visit. The office told me to come back in two weeks. I come back in two weeks. There are further blood tests and no friendly or useful explanation of why I'm in the office. When I try to ask basic questions, the hematologist punts me back to my PCP; I feel like I've been checked off a list, not spoken to. I'm told to come back AGAIN in two weeks. When I arrive again, after having painstakingly rearranged my work schedule and driven for 40 minutes in heavy rain and traffic, the receptionist tells me that the doctor is out (I find out the next day that it's to play tennis) and that they called everyone that morning. I show her my call log, which confirms that I didn't receive a call. She reads my number back to me; it's been transcribed incorrectly. She asks me to come back the next day, which requires ANOTHER afternoon off from work and another longer drive to and from the office. My final appointment lasts 5 minutes. When I try to respectfully ask about why I've been referred, and to ask valid questions about my lab results, the doctor is dismissive and condescending ("do you want there to be something wrong with you?"). I am never, ever, ever returning to this practice. I know what good medicine looks like -- a conversation between doctor and patient -- and this is not it. read more

This is the worst place in the world. The doctor prescribed a very important medication for my daughter and we need a pre-authorization for the medication. We have been trying to get in touch with the doctor for the past six days. No response and he still hasn't done the pre-authorization for her medication. I went to Riverside Medical Group in Belleville twice for the COVID vaccine. Both times the staff were super friendly, courteous, and made scheduling the appointment easy. The second time, I had to change the appointment because of a snowstorm.The office manager, who was working remotely on the day of the snowstorm, returned my phone call very quickly and re-scheduled the appointment to a date and time that was convenient for me. When I got to the office for the second vaccine, the office was extra busy because of all the other people who had to re-schedule, but the office is very organized and the entire staff made everything run very smoothly. The people who work at Riverside Medical Group in Belleville are very courteous, efficient, and considerate. I lost 1500 in Dermatological treatment with Dr. Lichtenberg. I paid to remove acne and chicken pox scars with Dr. Lichtenberg which according to his profile he is a cosmetic and medical dermatologist and member of American Academy of Dermatology, but my treatment was not good at all ( maybe 2% better). In my last treatment Dr. Lichtenberg agree with me about the treatment was wrong but didn't bring other service or return my money. The docs are nice, but no one tells you their name, none of the business cards match up to the people there and when you ask, you're told the doctor's first name only! The Belleville office is decent. You may have to wait a little over an hour to see a doctor, even if you have an appointment. I think Dr. Moaven is a great doctor and familiar with what he is doing. However, there is one doctor at this practice that is just downright HORRIBLE! Her name is Khrisna Patel! If you get this doctor, please run for your life. She does not care about the patients and is only there to collect a check. She barely checks the patients and rushes them out of the office, even if they advise her that they feel ill. I called the same day and set up an appointment for 12PM with a physicians assistant (not even a doctor because I figured the doctors would be super busy and a PA would be able to get to quicker). I waited THREE HOURS in the waiting room. Mind you my appointment was for 12PM. No one bothered to update me while I waited, I finally decided to approach the receptionist who informed me there was one more patient ahead of me and then I would be taken. Also, throughout these 3 hours, people came after me and got called in ahead of me. I looked passed it because I figured these people probably scheduled appointments before me since I called the same day. They finally call me in and I'm currently waiting to be seen by someone. It's been 30 minutes. I've been waiting a total of 3 1/2 hours just so I can get some medicine to recover from a cold and sore throat I've had for a week. This office is horrific. I waited an hour for a doctor to see me to just give me results of my cholesterol test. My special needs son was left alone in the hallway and the staff knew that but did nothing to expedite my visit. All they did was quickly charge me $40 copay. The office was noncompliant for NJ Covid practices. Patients were lined up in front of window within inches of each other just to sign in and have their copay taken and then forgotten about. I have tried to call and their wait time is over 30 minutes. They do say that call volume is high and leave a message but their box is full and doesn't take any messages. The office is dirty. The rooms have old furniture from the 90s, stains on carpet and chairs. They were supposed to move in summer but never did but their voicemail still has a message about moving summer of 2020 even though it's now winter. I went to this group because I followed Dr. "K" when he left private practice to this group. He said he went to this group because he couldn't afford private practice any more. The office in Belleville was shoddy, ugly brown & smelled. While I was in the waiting room I heard Dr. Klughaupt announce "I quit" and storm out. They brought him back and I finished my appointment with him. I moved out of state & couldn't get an appointment in under 2 months (In Maine they only see new patients on a formula. It's something like 1 a week.) One Dr. would see new patients in Eleven months. When my RX for tremors (shaky hands & head bobbing) ended I called Empire. This is what happened: 1. Disconnected and left me on hold when they couldn't find a record of Dr. Klughaupt. 2. Disconnected while ringing. 3. After my request they left me on hold, came back & asked me to come into the office. I explained I was out of state & could they only fax 1 month of meds to pharmacy. I was told to hold on. I set the phone aside after 20 min & started typing this missive. I will try going to a Walk In hoping that they will give me meds without records. I doubt it. I couldn't believe a medical group could have a rating of 1.7 when I looked the phone number up but I believe it now. 30 minutes now & they just disconnected the phone again.
