I was immediately given tests by two EXCELLENT technicians, one of him were a name badge: Ramirez. Fortunately in the ambulance, I was given both IV sailine and an EKG, which was fine. The sailine IV restored me and it's a darn good thing! After the text finished with me, I was put in the giant almost empty waiting room of the ER and told it would be somewhere of between 6 and 24 hours before I could see a "service provider", which I think may be double speak for a medical doctor!!! Yes, you read that right. I was brought in by ambulance and I was told I needed to sit upright in a wheelchair for as much as 24 hours. Now some of you know me. What do YOU think I said to that????????? I politely said, "I am going home and going to sleep. Sleep heals me. What I am NOT going to do is sit up in a wheelchair or lie on the ER floor (which did not look sparkling clean but maybe it was just old) for as many as 24 hours hoping that s-o-m-e-d-a-y maybe I'll be seen by a medical doctor." The corporate management of Asante is, in my humble opinion, moneygrubbers who do not give a darn about patients. They have a demonstrated track record of that via the various lawsuits and out of court settlements they have had to make. I feel sorry for the doctors and nurses and other staff who have to work there. I am glad for all of the patients that have gotten good care because of the kindness, compassion, as skill of the people who work in Asante, including the good doctors as certainly all of the RNs and other staff who actually do their best to help patients. I wish we would get a different medical group here in the Rogue Valley. In the meantime, my husband and I are primarily working with Provident had receiving very good treatment.

The…read morestaff, doctor and nurses were very patient with me and explained my procedure in simple but thorough terms I also want to mention that I had one meal at the hospital which was a meatloaf dinner with bread, broccoli potatoes and gravy, tomato basil soup, milk and juice. It was hot, very tasty and one of the best meals I have had in a hospital.

I asked the receptionist what's taking so long and she said that they thought I was a no show because I didn't check in with them. How does it make sense that they don't have a system to know when you're in the building getting your blood drawn?? How does it make sense that you have to check in 2x. I'm from out of state and no one told me that I had to check in 2x as if they are 2 separate clinics. UNBELIEVABLE! FiNALLY, I have a PCP that listens and is pointing me in all the directions I need to go…read more Thankfully, I'm in good health generally, but there have been some annoying, indistinct things bothering me, making diagnosis challenging. I've been to 3 different NON-Providence clinics only to be treated badly, taken off course and basically sent on wild goose chases. I can't imagine what it's like for seniors (or anybody) who have serious health issues to get treated in this valley ... !?! NOW, I have Vashti Ivey, FNP, as my PCP and she is ON IT!!! Not only is she detail-oriented and savvy about what she's doing, she is kind and care-taking. She smiles and has a sense of humor!!! I haven't had a PCP that fits that description in the 10 years I've lived here. I must also acknowledge the check-in/check-out staff and the medical assistants, too. They have all been so kind and comfortable to work with! Vashti's referrals have led me to consultations and information that have put me on track and righted the wrongs I've dealt with for the last 3 years, especially! I have been under so much stress that seemed to be a vicious circle, but Vashti referred me to Dr. Bravo for some stress management. Another brilliant solution that after just TWO short sessions, i've learned things that are extremely helpful for my specific issues AND for my whole life. The latter info is in regards to my SPS trait -- Sensory Perception Sensitivity. It's a natural trait that unfortunately NO OTHER medical professional that I've seen in these last 10 years was even familiar with!!! ALL medical professionals should be aware of this natural trait since upwards of 20% of the population has it and it colors your whole life! Having medial pros who listen and aren't dismissive of details is like winning the lottery! Another big ticket win was when I was referred to the main Providence Medical Plaza to have a swallow test done. That was fine by me since I'd had two terrific surgical experiences in that building when I had my knees replaced. After that test I discovered an issue that all the other practitioners had basically dismissed, didn't see in the imaging or just failed to give me the details - Unbelievably UNPROFESSIONAL. The test facilitator, Julie Mondz-Kleinman, gave me a myriad of information that was like a light bulb being switched on -- no make that a FLOOD light! Now, thanks to my Providence Team, I'm on track and can deal with all the little annoying "glitches" my body has with ease and a sense of confidence that I'm just fine. A HUGE burden lifted off my shoulders, and I'm immeasurably grateful!!!

I was instructed by the lady who answers the phone each time (Tammy) to call @ 8AM on the first of the month to get an appointment. Well, I followed her instructions and today she said "oops, someone else already got the appointment." Apparently Dr. Hull only takes one new patient each month and someone else must have grabbed that date. Really? That's so much BS going on here I had here leave a message for her supervisor to call me back. This sort of ring-around is very cruel and not at all what I was expecting. went to get my blood drawn at the ER and had a phlebotomist lady FISH FOR A VEIN IN MY HAND. i…read morealmost passed out and i told her to stop she said "hold on just let me see if i can get it" at that point she had stuck me with a needle (and im not joking) 9 times in in my arms and my hands. the other phlebotomist lady before her was SOOO nice and sweet and distracted me when i told her i was a little scared of needles, she had tried to get blood out of both of my arms and said she didn't feel comfortable trying anymore which was so nice of her and very respectful.

They are damaging their own reputation that's going up in flames by turning patients away for being 60 seconds late and causing mental trauma amongst them. Blatant negligence: Without proper directions in the hospital, patients in an unfamiliar environment get lost and have to backtrack and interrupt other staff for assistance to find the exact location they must be. One would think Providence Medical Group-Medford Family Practice would offer clear and concise directions to their office once in the hospital so patients know which elevator to take to arrive on time OR be a little less militant. Providence Medical Group-Medford Family Practice has no perception of decency and they refuse to demonstrate their commitment to their patients. Although, what they do offer is a lot of sticky bureaucratic red tape. I highly recommend everyone to seek even the lowest level of professionalism elsewhere and avoid this landmine at all costs.
