He said, because that's a surgery and I'm not going to do that here. It's not a surgery, it's a non-surgical procedure. He said, I'll have to write on your chart that you rejected my treatment. Treatment, lol! Pushing antibiotics in to someone when you have no idea what bacteria if any is involved. That's with a sign in their office that reads, "antibiotics aren't for everything" or something like that. But, antibiotics are in that doctors case even after I told him antibiotics almost killed me. Morons, although I think most doctors are egotistical morons. All their schooling and the only idea they have is selling big pharma. So, I said I would do a local antibiotic injection but when the guy walked in to inject me he wanted to inject it in the fatty tissue of my ass, that's not local and the infection is in my elbow. He said a local injection, the guy said no in your hip. I said I reject the treatment. The doctor lied to me by saying an aspiration is a surgical procedure and then didn't care to ask what history in my life caused issue with antibiotics. Horrible practice, horrible doctor and rude staff. I wasn't aggressive at all just asked if I reject treatment do I have to pay? The support staff appear to be better trained in their people skills, the facility is newer/cleaner, and the providers just seem to be less rushed and more pleasant. Our experience this morning was 5-stars across the board. The provider was a NP, not an MD, but for this visit (a UTI), it was adequate. He was attentive, friendly, and listened well -- as well as explaining things in a caring fashion. In comparison, I have been thoroughly unimpressed by Asante, having dealt with both their urgent and emergency care services. I will say that the people in the billing / financial departments at Asante are very pleasant and professional, but I'm afraid that is the only "A" I can award. Everything else was a solid C with even a few C- grades in places, bordering on a D.

After a relatively lengthy period on the phone with their new AI system, I made an appointment for a flu shot, which was confirmed by the computer. At one point, I told the computer, "f--k you" as a test and to take a stand for human dignity with no response other than possibly a longer pause than the other long pauses. When I got to the appointment, I was told by a human that Valley Immediate Care does not offer flu shots. Now, I'm wondering if the long pause was the computer deciding the best way to get back at me.

When Mr. Miserable "not a doctor" walked in I knew this one was not going to be someone to return to possibly. No smile ever. No eye contact ever. Walked in with laptop in hand looking down while saying "you must be so and so." Then said his name, with back turned to us, and no hand shake, no how are you or nice to meet you or glad you chose me for your care! He may as well walked in and said f you! But he did then say to me and my husband, "you two have a lot of issues and I don't have the time for you today you'll have to come back." Wtf? Ok then... Then he starts asking questions of us (still not making any eye contact) and literally mocking our answers in disgust. We were the first patients that day at 8 am! We waited 45 min to see him while being processed by the medical aids. Bloodwork etc. so how he already had zero time for new patients is ridiculous. I had zero sleep dealing with an ailing, elderly disabled sister and was up at 6:30 to make the trip to town to meet this new "professional." Had I known I was going to be interviewed and judged and then told he won't be taking us as patients? I would never have wasted my valuable time. Not would I have waited for an appt for two weeks so I could get meds renewed to have him walk out on us? He literally said "I don't think this is a good fit." Omg! Who does that? I said to him he didn't have to take us then if he felt that way. Immediately he got up and walked out. I said wow. He said, "dont worry I won't charge you for the meet and greet." Again, who says this stuff? Explains the 3 star review. What a waste of my time because a NP doesn't have the confidence, ability nor personality to do his job and actually take care of people who spend valuable time to give him the chance. He is literally the worst possible person to be in this profession and I pray for anyone who actually can stand him as their primary. He clearly does not care about people and should not be in this profession. I'm so disgusted I called the board of licensure as well as his office manager (who is also his wife.) so that won't matter I'm certain. I pray for the women who work for him as they are very kind and not people who deserve that type of boss. I hope he isn't this way with them or his wife. What an ugly disposition and a miserable man. This location was the only ones in The Valley who offered rapid tests. They've got good protocols to keep exposure down... park on the side, call when you're there, rooms near the entrance. Staff were all kind and caring. My only concern was the air scrubber/purifier they had sitting with a nasty dirty filter. If it were pre pandemic I probably wouldn't have been as concerned but.... Yeah.
