He said, because that's a surgery and I'm not going to do that here. It's not a surgery, it's a non-surgical procedure. He said, I'll have to write on your chart that you rejected my treatment. Treatment, lol! Pushing antibiotics in to someone when you have no idea what bacteria if any is involved. That's with a sign in their office that reads, "antibiotics aren't for everything" or something like that. But, antibiotics are in that doctors case even after I told him antibiotics almost killed me. Morons, although I think most doctors are egotistical morons. All their schooling and the only idea they have is selling big pharma. So, I said I would do a local antibiotic injection but when the guy walked in to inject me he wanted to inject it in the fatty tissue of my ass, that's not local and the infection is in my elbow. He said a local injection, the guy said no in your hip. I said I reject the treatment. The doctor lied to me by saying an aspiration is a surgical procedure and then didn't care to ask what history in my life caused issue with antibiotics. Horrible practice, horrible doctor and rude staff. I wasn't aggressive at all just asked if I reject treatment do I have to pay? The secretary said, "if you reject treatment then you can run like the wind". Just completely horrible all the way around. No care for humanity or an inkling of bed side manner. Shame on VIC!

The front desk and the rooming MA were great but the PA that provides the care is extremely arrogant and condescending. He did not examine me at all and flat out told me there's nothing he could do for a severe sinus infection and that no one else in the valley would help me until I hit six week sick. He was annoyed with me for tearing up, shot down my questions, and when I told him I felt like I couldn't breathe with all my symptoms he said "You're fine. You're talking, so you're breathing" He wrote a couple prescriptions after I pressed him to change my antibiotics since the originals I was prescribed weren't working and told me my best bet was to swim in the ocean for a few days...I walked away wondering if I could trust anything he said with no exam and such a despising demeanor, I double checked if I could even take the prescriptions he wrote scripts for while pregnant with a pharmacist. It's easy and quick to get in. Maybe he's the reason why.

The support staff appear to be better trained in their people skills, the facility is newer/cleaner, and the providers just seem to be less rushed and more pleasant. Our experience this morning was 5-stars across the board. The provider was a NP, not an MD, but for this visit (a UTI), it was adequate. He was attentive, friendly, and listened well -- as well as explaining things in a caring fashion. In comparison, I have been thoroughly unimpressed by Asante, having dealt with both their urgent and emergency care services. I will say that the people in the billing / financial departments at Asante are very pleasant and professional, but I'm afraid that is the only "A" I can award. Everything else was a solid C with even a few C- grades in places, bordering on a D.

After a relatively lengthy period on the phone with their new AI system, I made an appointment for a flu shot, which was confirmed by the computer. At one point, I told the computer, "f--k you" as a test and to take a stand for human dignity with no response other than possibly a longer pause than the other long pauses. When I got to the appointment, I was told by a human that Valley Immediate Care does not offer flu shots. Now, I'm wondering if the long pause was the computer deciding the best way to get back at me.

His approach to prepare a well developed plan of care to address all stated issues/concerns was most impressive. I have experienced nothing less than professionalism efficiency and extreme satisfaction with each appointment. MUCH of what makes this such a top notch group is the staff, who can't do enough to ensure all your needs are met in a timely and pleasant way. And I can speak from experience as a patient that was exasperated over a couple Rx refill incidents that while not the the fault of the Clinical staff ( was the part on the other end ). I found the girls (not to be a name dropper Amanda and Katie) at Bear Valley willing to assist me to the conclusion and admittedly my repeated calls had to have had them as frustrated as I. Yet conversely...never showed. This group is indeed a fine example of medical ethic and knowledge combined with business savvy. I commend those who serve, as well as who owns and/or run the practice. As a side note I am a nurse of 42yrs therefore, in the know, and ashamedly aware of possessing the common eccentricity of idiopathic noncompliance. So for someone who may be so used to being the caregiver and not so much paying attention to my own well-being, I am truly most content and appreciative of being associated with and in the care of this competent crew aboard this tightly run ship.
