He's nothing like the dealerships that will up charge you for every nut, bolt and part and scare you into work that you may or may not need done immediately. My whole family brings our cars to him for everything, oil changes, brakes, tire rotation, faulty sensors, transmission fluid, you name it! He even fixed my trunk when it wasn't opening. He's a 1 man show, so it may take a little extra time but it's so worth it for the honesty, and not paying dealership prices.

During my recent state inspection of my 2021 Toyota Tacoma, I encountered several issues that were…read morenot addressed satisfactorily. The inspection revealed a dime-sized chip on my windshield, which occurred in January 2022. Despite being sealed, the chip was deemed unacceptable. Additionally, the front struts, tires, and rear shocks were also found to be in need of repair. The total cost for these repairs was estimated at $2,657. When I inquired about the necessity of replacing the rear shocks, as I had already done in October due to a squeaking sound, Ricks Auto and Tires informed me that it was recommended to replace both shocks and front struts simultaneously but not necessary. But yet it still failed inspection? However, the squeaking persisted, prompting me to take the vehicle to Smithfield Toyota. There, I was informed that the squeaking was caused by a faulty bushing on my leaf springs. The truck's undercarriage was otherwise in excellent condition. Toyota of Smithfield did not say I needed front struts. Ricks Auto and Tires response was dismissive, stating that Toyota doesn't know what they are looking at. Regarding the windshield, Rick's Auto and Tires indicated he would overlook the chip on the passenger side, as it was sealed. While I agreed with the assessment of the tires and had them replaced at Town Fair Tire, not with Ricks Auto and Tires. I visited the state garage. My vehicle was passed without any issues, and without fixing anything that Ricks Auto and Tires informed me that I was required to make before it would pass inspection. They attempt to deceive customers into fixing issues that were not present. In conclusion, I am deeply concerned about the lack of transparency and accountability in this situation. Ricks Auto and Tires is exploiting people to profit from unnecessary repairs.

I needed a new engine , and was dealing with a warranty company that was not so great. And they took care of the whole process, step by step they kept me in the loop with pictures and processes. I took a basic welding class to make a barn star at the Garrison Speed Shop in Mendon,…read moreMassachusetts. I have never welded before or used some of the tools and equipment required. The template pieces were all laid out, but that was it. Co-founder Luke had me read and sign all the releases first, and asked about my experience with welding etc. Being a Veteran myself, Luke as well, and the non-profit supporting Veterans and First Responders, he also made sure to ask me if loud noises or anything would bother me. Every step was explained and demonstrated before I was able to do it, and as nervous as I was at first, it quickly went away knowing he took my safety, the safety of others as well as their shop very seriously. Co-founder Ben also provided some muscle when I was unable to bend the metal myself. In just over 2 hours I had sanded, measured, re-measured, bent , hammered and welded together a really cool one of a kind 5-sided barn star. It was definitely something different to do and it was a really cool and fun experience. 5 stars !
