I waited 30 minutes before calling to see if something had happened. He answered and said "Oh, what's your address, I can be there in 20 minutes." He arrived 30 minutes later and gave us the quote. He took his time and wrote out exactly what we needed. His quote was thorough and seemed reasonable. The reason for my 1-star rating is because when we were ready to schedule, we called and called and no one ever answered. My husband also tried and left messages that were never returned. I know they are a busy company, but it shouldn't be that hard to schedule once a quote has been provided. Perhaps Doug needs to hire a receptionist to help with phones. We ended up going with another company and I'm so glad we did. They did a wonderful job! They were also Yelp verified and backed by a $2,500 protection by Yelp. We chose a smaller company where we had direct access to the owner and communication was never a problem. The owner was also onsite every day of the job.

We got what I knew to be a very good quote especially when you consider Hoffman's always does two coats - most do not unless you pay extra ( that's precisely why we're repainting after only 7 years). They did excellent stucco and wood prep. Every hole, scar, blemish, scratch and crack were patched appropriately. The level of detail was mind blowing (I've dealt with professional painters at least 7 times in my personal life). The care and concern for masking and taping not just windows, but every single potential issue was mitigated by covering or moving. Without being hyperbolic, the house looks new and light-years better than 7 years ago. They left no mess or evidence of having been here aside from a beautifully refreshed home. I did find that my suitcases and my cooler were victims of me not thinking about spray coming in the upper garage vent, but really think I should have thought about that.
