PLEASE READ BEFORE GOING TO THIS PLACE!!!!!!!!!! I went to a couple shops to get some ideas. Since I live in redlands I decided to check out Empire tattoo. I asked for some information. The front desk guy showed me to Ricky Padilla. Was a cool guy art work was great. I decided to follow through with the tattoo with Ricky, he explained that after I gave my deposit he would sketch up a picture, from there if I didn't like the sketch I would be able to get my deposit back.. Everything sounded great so I proceeded with my deposit. I had an appointment with him the following wednesday. He texted me the day of and asked me if he can move the appointment to 5. Already bad service I agreed and gave him another chance. Then he texts me around 5 and says he won't be able to make. Wow completely bad service. I have him the benefit of the doubt that it was just a random thing. So he tells me to come in at 2 the next day. And what do you know two pm came the next day and he canceled. After that he try's to sketch up my tattoo in 20 mins? Seems to me like he didn't put any effort into his clients work. After a few texts back in fourth he sends me a pic. Great sketch there was some things I wanted different. So I explained what I wanted different. And he never texted me back. Til the next day I text him and asked for my deposit of $41.01 back. He tried to tell me the money is not refundable. No where does it even say that it's not refundable it's something they made up. His words when I first talked to him were you pay 40$ deposit for the sketch" if you don't like the sketch then you get your deposit back." Pretty shady for a business to employ Ricky especially when he has other people there backing him up. No one there is for their customers. Don't go here. I will never go there again hope the 40$ was worth it? read more

It is always a pleasure to walk into Empire Tattoo and be greeted by a friendly person. In other shops, I have felt uncomfortable with the artist who gives the impression that she or he's too cool for you to waste his time as you ask for him to collaborate with you on a work of art with which you'll walk around until the end of your days. I suggest this shop, and especially artist *PABLO* for everyone, from the scared first-timer to the person who is running out of space. He gave me my first tattoo, and all of the unsolicited compliments from people who go out of their way to mention how great my ink is are some of the reasons I've never gone to anyone else (and I've pushed the hubby into his chair, also). PROS: Great artistry, unbelievable skills - can take your idea and make it better (don't be mad, it's the truth, he did it for me five times). Always clean products, ensures that you see the needles being taken from sterilized packaging with dates that are not expired. I have been told by other artists that the ink used in my tattoos is high quality, colors are hard to find, shading is impeccable, small little touches really make the work beautiful, such as a glisten here, an embellishment there. No shop is P.C., but these guys aren't sexist, racist, ageist - I've seen everyone be treated with the same courtesy and dignity. Easy parking CONS: Well, you'll pretty much leave broke, but cheap people deserve cheap work! You'll want to come back over and over and over and over and over and over again until you're an ambulating work of art. read more

I have been coming to Empire Tattoo for 9 years now, and I wouldn't go anywhere else for my piercings and tattoos. Bobby has gone above and beyond my tattoo expectations everytime I've sat down in his chair. I have brought friends and family members in for tattoos with Bobby, and they have been equally impressed with his work, the cleanliness of the shop, and the friendliness of all the guys in the shop. Some other reviewers have complained about price, but when you want quality work that you can be proud of, and know that you will be taken care of in a sterile, professional shop with an artist who will work with you from an idea you sketched to the final tattoo...the price is well worth it, and well within industry norms for the cost of an amazing tattoo. I recently moved away from the area, but will continue to make the drive back to Empire Tattoo and Bobby's chair. Thank you, Bobby for the years of good work, working with my friends and family and tattoos I can be proud to show off. Also, a big thank you to piercer, Adam, who hooked me up with my two tragus piercings this week. I've had a few piercings done by Adam, and I've always left happy with his work, and have never had any post-piericng problems. Wow where can I start, about Pablo. If you want one of the best artwork on you, seek out Pablo. Like alot of others, I was fortunate to meet Pablo at a tattoo convention, and I'm so glad I did. I walked around the convention, not getting any good vibes, until I saw Pablo. One look, well maybe two, cause he looked at me, I knew this was the guy. We talked and I knew this was one great artist, then he drew my idea up and the good vibe only got stronger. Never mind that his personality rocks too but so does his work. I live on the East Coast and told Pablo when I make it to the west coast I will look him up to get some new ink, to remember my trip. This summer I already plan if he comes back around my state, to have him draw up my idea and tattoo it on my upper arm. I've been a customer at Empire for over 15 years and have been tattooed by a few of the artist over that time. They are always professional and crazy artistic. My family comes here from out of town and friends always asks who does my work so they can see them too. I've been drilled by senõr Pablo for the last few years and the guy is down for fun stuff all the time even "your name" on my ass! His personal preference out of 3 other tat ideas that day. Spike is an amazing artist as is Jason and the rest of the guys (or gals from time to time). When I walked in Ruben was so friendly and helped me right away. I texted him 2 pictures of what I wanted, which was a hummingbird. it took him like 1 week for him to design it. he text me to let me know it was ready, I went down,saw it,he measured my arm & we scheduled for 2days after that. On the day of my apt he was so friendly. I would recommend him and his work to everyone. He's experienced, treats you right, and is genuinely a good person. His prices are right too. I got a finger tat from Reuben and not only did the tat turn out bad but he added shading without even asking me first. On top of that, he wasn't wearing a mask the entire time which is against regulations and at one point he pulled my sisters mask off of her "to see how pretty of a face she had". That's another thing- this dude was a total pervert and every word that came out of his mouth was about our bodies or something else creepy. When I got up after getting my tat done he said "that's the sexiest wedgie I've ever seen" and a bunch of other unwarranted nasty comments. A professional shop with incredibly talented and proficient artists! Came in without an appointment and since he was free, London Hernandez became the piercer who graced me with snakebites! He took time to make sure a few times over just to make sure we'd both be happy with placement, and it was a quick and efficient procedure. I'm incredibly happy with the result and was super delighted to meet London, who's not only a great piercer, but a really cool and sweet person too! I have been going to empire for quite some time now, and have never had a bad experience. Bobby did my 1st tattoo when I was 18, and I have continued to come to him over the years. Empire is the definition of local tattoo parlor. Great guys, clean place and cool atmosphere. The artists are amazing and super accommodating. If you aren't an artist (most of us aren't) they will help you with your design and work with you until you love it! Also go see Adam for your piercings! Walk-ins are definitely welcome, and Adam makes you feel totally comfortable. For those of you complaining about price...you get what you pay for. read more

I got a helix piercing by London and he was fantastic. He was very professional and answered all my questions and was patient with my indecisiveness. He was funny which helped lighten the anxiety that can come with the anticipation of pain. It didn't hurt that bad! I really enjoyed my experience and would go back! The price was very reasonable and you can buy the aftercare cleaner there too. So don't go to the mall for piercings! Go to London! Thanks Redlands! I'll be back! I was ready to cover an old tattoo so I popped in to talk about do that. I was lucky enough to meet Le'Braun. I say lucky because this guy is an ace. He discussed several ideas with me first. No pressure. He isnt just trying to slap ink down to get paid. Le'Braun is methodical and caring in his approach. That approach came through in his tattooing work as well. His details are remarkable. I'm 18 and I got my 1st tattoo here. It was amazing. I was so nervous, but when I finally got into the chair I felt so relaxed thanks to Bobby. He did a wonderful job and I wouldn't trust anyone else with my tattoos. I recommend this place to everyone and anyone who wants tattoos or piercings. I had a terrible tattoo done recently and went to several shops all of which told me it would be impossible to cover up without some laser work first. Pablo took one look at it and said "Sure, I can cover it up. What did you want to put over it?" I didn't think it could happen let alone have choices as to what I wanted to have it covered with. I went to Empire Tattoo a couple days ago to get my nose piercing. The wait time was only as long as it took for London to set up. He was incredibly professional while also making sure I felt comfortable and at ease. When I got dizzy after the piercing was put in he was very patient and concerned and made sure I was 100% okay before he allowed me to try to stand up out of the chair. Cody Lee did an absolutely amazing job on a scar that I had on the top of my hand. I used to cringe when I looked at my hand; now, after Cody worked literal magic, I catch myself looking at my hand/ arm and the whole piece all the time. Not only did he bring this piece to life, but he also was very knowledgeable about what would actually work (for scarring) and look good, rather than slapping on anything. THEY STEAL YOUR DEPOSIT!!! I had sent my deposit to Therisa…read moreand never received a confirmation. She had giving me a date and time prior to me depositing the money all I was asking for her to confirm and assured my appointment but never got ONE until asked to cancel due to no confirmation or response for over 2 days. That's when she replies and excuses the reason for ignoring me on instagram after I'm seeing her active on her account plenty of times. She said she would return my deposit but blocked me after I waited almost a week. I tried reaching out to Bryan the owner and he was very rude stating that his encouraging Therisa not to return the money and that she should of being rude to me. I POSTED THE PICTURE OF OUR CONVERSATIONS. You'll see who's wrong and if that doesn't prove that they stole my deposit.

Follow up response to business response on Google: I made ONE request to change the design from…read moresomething custom to something he'd already done before for his and my convenience, so that response is BS and I have the messages to prove it. Also, no design was ever made and no work was ever done prior to the requested change. Additionally, on two occasions he stated he would provide a design for filler options and in both cases that never happened but I sent in designs instead. This guy always has excuses. In reality, he likely was prioritizing clients with more costly pieces because before the last cancelation he offered attractive pricing to instead do my entire back and had already canceled twice to assist two other clients whose tattoos were "running later than expected". To be in business for 25 years and you can't plan to get someone in the shop after 4 attempts? Right...seems suspect the more I think about it. And one of the appointments was made without my knowledge and I STILL rearranged my schedule to show up but he did not. Again, I have all the messages to validate every single claim on here and a witness. Be warned... I'm a very reasonable and patient guy and tried to be very accommodating but coming here was the worst experience with a business I've ever had and I'll always regret it forever with a permanent reminder on my body. Went here to have a tattoo fixed (cover up) and paid $300 on 4/6/24 just to "prep" the area with a "skin tone" colored ink, which actually turned out a terrible shade of orange, and I'm a pale white guy so it looks pretty bad now. But, I was trusting when Bryan told me he had used that approach successfully on other occasions and that it would not look like that when we did the actual cover up during a future session. However, after THREE canceled "scheduled appointments" I ultimately had to just call it quits and face the reality that this guy was never really going to complete the work that we agreed to and now I'm worse off than when I first arrived and lost $300 for NOTHING! Here's the timeline for reference: 4/6/24: Prep work $300 4/27/24: 1st cover up appointment @1:30p - I got a text at 1:15p when I was already about to park at the shop that he could not make it. Many would've beed bothered but I respectfully agreed to reschedule. 5/4/24: 2nd attempt at scheduling an appointment - Canceled to continue tattoing someone else. No problem. So, we rescheduled again. 5/26/24: 3rd attempt at scheduling - I got a text the night before to cancel the appointment. Things happen in life, but 3 cancellations in a row, and right before the appointment, is unacceptable. And requiring customers to put a deposit down that is non-refundable that you get to keep if they can't show up when you don't even show up yourself is ironic and questionable. I'm a disabled veteran with an injury from an IED blast in Afghanistan that prevented me from getting a cover up done for many years and when I finally had the financial means to do it this is what I get, an even WORSE tattoo and $300 down the drain. What a major disappointment. If you run a business, there needs to be accountability and standards. Period. And clients deserve basic decency and respect. Our time is valuable too. And issues like this are potential legal liabilities...
