I had good service with one of the opticians she was very nice and friendly. From there it went downhill. I picked up my three pairs of glasses and since then I have not been able to have them fitted. I went there to have them fitted one afternoon and the woman looked up and merely said, sorry we are not taking walk in's. I told her all I needed was to have my glasses adjusted, I had received 3 pair and she said nope, you will have to call us and make an appointment. I called and was on hold for 1 hour 10 mins. No answer. Now what?? I have three pairs of new glasses that are crooked and can't be worn. So, I went to LensCrafters. Walked in and they said, can I help you? Yes, I have three pairs of glasses that need adjusting. Have a seat someone will be right with you! Guess where I will be going for my glasses and my family's glasses from now on!!! read more

Went in for my annual exam. The Dr. did not seem interested. I had to ask him if he wanted me to put in my contacts to see how my vision was with them, he said I guess we could do that. The person placing my order for contacts and glasses seemed very flustered. I asked for my contacts to be brown as they have been for years. Went to pick up my glasses and contacts. They just hand them to you, have a good day. No checking or adjusting. I have been wearing my glasses for several day now, went back to get them adjusted and they told me no one was there to do that! Picked up new glasses, can't walk in them as the world is so curved, everything looks like it's moving. I was also informed that the lenses have astigmatism correction, is that something the Dr maybe should have shared with me?! Thinking it's a misdiagnosis. I went there to update my child glasses. We have insurance and it required them to send paperwork to update her glasses. They never did the required work properly and my insurance denied claim bc it was improperly done. I had to contact insurance company and Visionwork to get this cleared up. This store is chaotic. The staff has an attitude like you are asking for to much by them doing there Job. I even called about an update over the phone and some Male worker was rude and said "if you don't receive a text message don't call." Wow. Disgusting. I will not be doing any business with this location. However, the Visionwork on Erie Blvd in Syracuse NY is way more professional and looks like they get a higher volume of customers, but are still able to do an amazing job! Go to that one. Fayetteville NY location is the worst! They need training all around from doctor, to counter staff that just stand around giggling and chatting to each other. Also, they have limited seating for customers in store. So you have to stand around waiting for service. Oh, and the Dr. was not kid friendly either. He was working like he was in a factory just pumping people out with zero connection to customer. If you have any respect for yourself do not and I repeat go to this location. I did get my child's glasses but hugely disappointed and unsatisfied with the service. read more

Staff and Dr were pleasant, courteous, and above all efficient for the eye exam on 6/24/22. It was a double appointment with myself and my 12yr old. They were great with my child and offered good advice regarding frames. Pickup was two weeks later on 7/8/22. We arrived 10 minutes before close because we traveled 40 minutes from Cortland. They were awesome. Adjusted our frames with a smile and we were out the door by 7:01pm at closing. I'm glad we chose this location and will be back in the future. We've had bad luck Cortland location and will not be returning. read more

Horrible. You can't get through to talk to a person when you call. Glasses get adjusted but never fitted on your face where they check behind the ears and bridge of nose. Consequently, they never fit properly. I've gone there for 4 years and tired of it. I'm switching. I don't know why I waited so long. read more

I STILL HAVE NOT RECEIVED CONTACTS I ORDERED AND PAID FOR IN DECEMBER!! I went in to order new contacts- didn't even need an eye exam I could've done it online but I thought it would be easier in store. They told me they would come in a week. They didn't come for 3 weeks and when they came it was the wrong prescription. I called multiple times since and still have no received the right prescription. They either put me on hold for the "contact tech" and never call back or when I finally do get ahold of the contact tech I'm told the correct ones will be shipped and they just never arrive. I highly advise if you have any other option for getting contacts or glasses- you should go there. (Ps I was always super nice about it! Saying I understand it's not anyone's fault and I just really want my contacts and I still haven't received them) :( read more

I wish I can say this was an isolated incident but it's not. I have ordered contacts through them and the shipment is massively delayed, this issue is not the delay as that is understandable right now. The issue is how crappy their service is. No one calls to inform you, no emails, text- no communication and when I call them no one ever answers. The only way to get any information from them is to physically go in person to ask. The staff are certainly nice but as an organization as a whole Visionworks is terrible. As providers they are so/so. I've had excellent care and sometimes I've had crappy care. The frames selections are bland in comparison to other major competitors. The only reason I go back is because of insurance and sheer convenience. read more

I came in as an appointment on a Wednesday mid-day and I was worried about how busy it was. All of the staff was hustling and got everyone squared away in short order. The optometrist, Dr. Montes, was incredibly thorough and professional, even making additional appointment b/c of an issue with my left eye. I was able to find cute and affordable frames within 20 minutes of looking and I'm particularly picky. I had my custom lenses come in well within the allotted time frame. Walked in with no appointment with a missing lense in my sun glasses. A sales/tech fixed them immediately and cleaned them along with adjusting one of the arms that was loose. Didn't even have to ask! Very professional and fast. A lot of glasses to choose from and great prices!! read more

Terrible!! Maybe would not have been such an awful experience if I didn't pay completely out of pocket for both the eye exam and two pairs of glasses. One pair broke within two weeks of purchasing them. They advised they could not do anything because it was not an issue with the lens. Secondly, I've requested my medical records from them TWICE within the past 6 months. I work for a law firm and do this daily. I used a HITECH request first, only for the request to be completely ignored. When I requested the records a second time I asked they be faxed directly to me at work. I was advised by customer service that they would be sent immediately. Here we are another week late. Not only have I not received my medical records which are probably a whole five pages, but I haven't even gotten a return call. Which I requested from their online chat THREE times! I attempted to call the office again today before allowing my anger to get the best of me. I have now been on hold for 45 minutes. They WILL be seeing me when I get out of work since they cannot seem to answer the phone. read more

NEVER, EVER go to this store. My initial visit went well. But then it took 7 weeks for me to get my glasses. The only reason I ever received the glasses is that I had to call 3 times to the main customer service number, wait on hold for almost an hour each time, and request the glasses get reordered. After reordering, the glasses finally came in and they literally handed them to me and expected me to walk out of the store without seeing if they were the right fit or prescription. When I asked to speak to the manager about that and the fact it took them 7 weeks to get my glasses in, I was told they were too busy for this. In the mean time, the store called and canceled both my kids appointments because the "doctor didn't want to work Wednesday evening anymore." I used to never have an issue with Visionworks. I wasted 2 hours of my time at this location last night. I made an appointment for 5:20 and it was changed without notification to 5:40. I waited for 50 minutes for the eye exam. When I went to pick out frames I was told that there was no one that could help with getting them fitted and ordered and I would have to return. When I went to checkout for the prescription they had trouble with the computer and after 20 minutes of waiting I finally left without the script. When I asked someone to help the person at the front desk I was told that they did not have the time because they were doing inventory. When someone behind me complained they and I were told that we should stop complaining and find them some help. We were made to feel as if we were the problem. This place is totally dysfunctional. This morning I will go there and hopefully get my prescription and get it filled somewhere else. Will never go back. read more

Go anywhere else if you can. Fayetteville one is worst place ever. Getting anything done there is nearly impossible. Waiting now a month to pick up my contacts that I already paid for. Have to make another appointment to be seen again. Horrible customer service, always put on hold when calling, for about 10-15 min at a time. Walked in 5 minutes early for an appointment and stood at the front desk, making eye contact and waiting to be acknowledged, while one was on the phone and the other staring down at the computer screen. Waited there for another 10 minutes and finally sat down right in front of them, still making eye contact and not being acknowledged. Phone conversations were done and the two were now chatting. Another gentleman walks in after me and was given his glasses and follow-up appointment made. Now there are 4 women at the front desk and still no one acknowledged / checked-in! While I was waiting, 2 people who had been "checked-in", came over to ask how much longer they have to wait to see the doctor!! read more

Huge frame selection here with tons of different lens options available. There were so many promotions available to help me save some money too! The girls at this location are super sweet and helpful, they were also honest with the frames I was trying on. FINALLY some sales people who will be honest in what you're choosing and not just try to get you in and out and on to the next customer. Love love love this location. read more

The first concern is that the store rarely answers the phone. For that matter, the Corporate headquarters doesn't answer theirs either. Second concern, the bathroom is filthy. The reason I know this is I had to try to view frames standing at the small sink. The associate who fitted me was dressed inappropriately and did not follow the procedures Visionworks has always followed in measuring for the progressive lens. I was not contacted when my glasses came in. The website said they were done Dec. 26, but I had to call 1/8 to ask about them. (Glad they answered the phone that time.) When I picked them up, the associate handed the glasses case to me. No fitting, no checking, no adjustments. A week later I had to call for an appointment to get them adjusted and then, there was no personal attention. Someone took them and brought them back. I've heard of Covid-crazy, but this is ridiculous. I will never go back. read more
