I want to start off by saying if you want wings this is the place to go HANDS DOWN!!!! The wings are that damn good SO you ask why a 2 star rating. well this only applies to the southern location in scotlandville. i have not been to the other locations. i have had 3 meals there and all 3 times customer service could have been friendlier. BUT tonight on my 3rd let me just say the ranch was pure mayonnaise and i went back and told the girl at the registar and this is what she said as she was laughing, "We dont have none of that back here and blue cheeze has a B marked on them." then she never replaced my 2 ranches so i left pissed and still needing. i left embarresed like i was wrong amd they dont make mistakes. if she just check she could taste it wasmt ranch amd all the ranches were ruined cause someone didnt care about there job and mixing it up or it was just a good joke on me whitey. who knows or mayne she was the one who didnt do it right. what ever the case it made me question why i talk so great to everyone about there wings. great wings but rude, crude, and lackadaisical additudes can change up a places direction of going places to just being passed on by quickly if owners dont take heed. I decided to try Empire Wingz because everyone keeps talking about their wingz. The staff is friendly. It's a small spot with not much seating for a crowd. I ordered the 8 pcs with spicy garlic parmesan, spicy lemon pepper, and fries. The wingz were separated by flavor but I couldn't tell them apart in taste. The wingz were still good, but I guess the hot sauce over powered the other flavors. I enjoyed the fries and they taste great with ranch. Maybe I should have tried one flavor or just plain hot which is what they taste like with garlic pieces on top. read more

My boyfriend took me here for lunch as he's a regular there and I'm from out of town. I was unsure as to what flavor of wings to get so I went with what I know..SWEET HEAT. The time between ordering and receiving our food was rather quick. I would say that we waited less than five minutes. My food was hot and my wings were fried hard just like I like them! The fries where seasoned well and it wasn't costly. Better than Buffalo Wild Wings hands down. Would definitely go back. read more

The wings are tender, juicy, and aren't too meaty. I've had a few of their flavors. Their spicy garlic parm really stands out. Their regular fries are kind of ehh, but their bbq ranch fries are super yummy. It's also a pretty good value meal. The 8 wing combo is sure to fill most people up. Wings are tasty but expensive. It's time to update the appearance. Service is too slow. You wait 30-45 minutes depending on orders for a few pieces of wings! I go to the blue store and get wings cheaper and throw me some sweet chili sauce on them and I am happy eating whole wings and they taste better. read more

Had to come "home" for a quick work trip and finally had time to stop by Empire on the way to the airport. Business was modest for my afternoon visit so that was nice as i was hoping to not have a long wait. The cashier was all smiles and pleasant even though she was juggling us and the phone. The food took about 10 minutes maybe. I ordered Garlic Parm, my friend ordered Spicy Bbq and both were on point. Wings were meaty, fries were hot and well seasoned + i ordered a bottled soda that was cold. Ok ok ok! I am on the Empire Wingz train. I hopped on this darn train about three weeks ago. I ordered the 8 piece Sweet Heat with the ranch fries and have been in love ever since. I have made it a point not to eat lunch on Fridays so I can pass over there and get an order to eat while I take my drive home to Opelousas. Came here after a football game and was amazed. Walking in there was a line, but it moved quickly. The menu has boneless and traditional wing options, along with fries. The prices are much cheaper than other wing places like BWW and Wing Stop. I ordered 10 traditional wings with their BBQ Ranch fries and two different sauces on the wings. The total only came out to about $12. The orders come out in batches, so around 5 people will get their orders all at once. Once you get your order, you have to check and make sure it is correct before leaving. I got my order of traditional wings and didn't realize that the flats were the actual full wing. These wings were so much larger than the competing restaurants' wings. I ordered the spicy bbq and spicy lemon pepper, and was not regretful. These wings were absolutely delicious. They were so juicy that they were dripping after I had bit into them. I was not at all disappointed by these wings. Try this place if you're looking for quality wings for a great price! read more

Visited the location a couple of weeks ago and the manager had a very nasty attitude, I don't know what her problems was!

They are liars. I have called them and asked if they sold fried wings with the crust on them, and they have told me yes on two or three separate occasions. Each time that I have picked up my order, the wings were crustless, the seasoning (I ordered parmesan) was washed off with way too much oil. They're fries tasted good and that's it. Their wings are overpriced and their advertising and customer service is very disingenuous and deceptive. Just get wings from Little Caesars or Papa Johns. read more

UNSANITARY AND UNSAFE EATING CONDITIONS!! Empire Wingz has violated several of the codes and standards that can be found in: http://inspections.eatsafe.la.gov/images/healthcode.pdf The employees don't care about spreading contaminants to the customers' food. Nor do they care that doing so will lead to food poisoning! For the following reasons, I would NEVER eat here or recommend this place to anyone: After realizing that my order was wrong, I returned to the establishment in hopes that the employees would correct the problem. After explaining the issue to cashier, she proceeded to take the plate (to inspect it, I guess). She then she gave the plate to a guy behind the counter. After the second handler had 'inspected' the food, he then proceeded to give the plate to a third person (I would assume he was the cook). The 'cook' then attempted to add sauce on the chicken that was inspected by the trio. After seeing this, I said to guy #2 that I did not want the same food that had been handled by: (1) the cashier who had been handling dirty money, (2) guy #2 who inspected the food, and (3) guy #3 (the cook who had been handling raw poultry, frying food, and preparing customers' plates (w/o changing gloves after ANY of his transactions) and (4) The 4th person behind the counter (a woman responsible for putting fries on the plates and serving to customers). This 4th person was wearing only one glove and no hairnet. I observed the cashier, who had long, polished fingernails, not wearing gloves or a hairnet taking customer orders and after taking the order, she would proceed to assist in preparing the plates. Not once after handling customers' money or bank card did the cashier wash her hands or use hand sanitizer. Guy #2 was assisting with food preparation and he too was not wearing gloves or a hairnet. The cook was wearing the same gloves to: (1) handle raw poultry, (2) fry the poultry, (3) season/add sauce to customers' orders, and (4) prepare plates for customer pick-up. Yes, he wore the same gloves to handle RAW poultry and distribute orders! IT GETS WORSE!! They gave me the EXACT same food that I returned; they only added sauce! To add insult to injury, they added a few 'fresh' fries on top of my previously ordered fries. I am appalled and DISGUSTED that they would not only jeopardize my health and safety, by giving me contaminated food, they also jeopardized the health and safety of future customers by placing the plate of food that I left and went home with in their workstation. read more
