I used a Groupon here for an hour massage with aromatherapy and really enjoyed my massage. I asked…read morefor light pressure and received just that. My therapist was very professional and informative. I'd told her after most massages I'm sore and tense. She suggested drinking more water and it worked. I'm not a massage snob so I'm really uneducated when it comes to them but the therapist that day (Maybe Melanie) was very informative. I didn't receive the aromatherapy though. Oh well, this was still a pretty darn good experience.

(Small caveat to my review: I've been seeing Marissa for several years, but she is no longer at…read morethis location. Her sister, Melanie, is equally great, but I've only seen her once or twice and can't give a super thorough review on her or any of the recently hired therapists.) First off, let me preface this by saying I have fibromyalgia and constantly tight muscles. We're talking can't lift arms over head tight; hurts to shake my head no tight; get cramps in back after standing up for 10 minutes tight. Most of the other studios I've been to around town have never, EVER been able to get the knots out of my back. Until I found Marissa and Melanie. They previously worked at another studio in the Cedar Park area and started their own practice in 2014. Marissa is the ONLY therapist I ever saw that provided a deep tissue massage that was both intense-pressure and relaxing. I know this sounds like an oxymoron, but it is an indication that the massage is *working*. For example, I saw another therapist in the area who gave a VERY deep tissue / trigger-point massage, and it HURT. Like, my body was tensing up in response, which just gave more resistence, so he pressed harder, and it hurt more, etc. Not these ladies, though. They do legitimate deep tissue / trigger point massage that digs into your back and gets the knots out, but it is done in a way that exchanges a few seconds of discomfort for immense relief. I fall asleep every time; that's how relaxing it is. To go from "oh my gosh I hurt 10/10 all over" to snoozing on the table? That's the sign of a good massage. (Sorry for the snoring that inevitably happens, ladies.....) The -1 star is for no Marissa anymore, sob :( I do enjoy Melanie and need to try out some of the other new therapists, so a revised review may appear later.

Quiet, peaceful, and easy to recommend without hesitation…read more I did the signature massage package. It starts with sound bowl healing, which was fantastic to get zen. By the time the massage started I was already relaxed. The massage itself was great, and consistently had the right pressure. My favorite part was the Gua Sha facial. The technique was terrific, and my skin felt great afterwards. The rest of the session flowed nicely too: hand and foot reflexology and a hydrating mask. By the end I felt completely relaxed and pampered. If you're in the Leander area and want something more than a basic massage, Body Lab is worth the trip. I'll definitely be going back.

I left feeling incredibly relaxed and cared for, and the service was great. My hair was soft, I didn't feel rushed, every touch was pleasant and relaxing. This second time I had a woman who I believe was named Emma, and my experience was much less pleasant. This time the pressure was very light, things seemed to have been skipped (like she rubbed one side of my neck, but not the other during the scalp rub), I was splashed with water on my face multiple times, I got water in my ears, and I know for certain I didn't get all of the exact same methods as I got the first time. I also had an add on foot massage and it was incredibly sub par. The pressure was super light and it felt like someone who hasn't ever massaged before. It's supposed to add 15 minutes (per their website) but I finished maybe 7 minutes after my allotted time. There was LOTS of banging around behind my head like she kept dropping the head sprayer into the tub. Lots of splashing from that as well. She was in the lobby when I was checking out so I said my service was fine, and tipped her well, as she did perform a service even though it wasn't great. I think your experience truly depends on who you have.

Over the past three months I have seen five massage therapist from this company and they have all…read morebeen fantastic. Someone from another location mentioned Amy (at this location) and her Cranial Sacral Massages (which is more like reiki I've come to find out) and that really gave me a shift. I have a lot physical work to do and a lot of emotional release to do and the people I worked with were great at both. I have issues with my lumbar and thoracic, a disc that lost fluid, a shoulder that was damaged in childhood and somehow ignored for so long, post-surgical issues for decades- basically I'm now over 40 and falling apart given my history of medical issues (poor genetic luck) and so I decided invest and get massages twice a week for a month and at least weekly for the next month. It's costly but it's cheaper to do a bunch in a month instead of dabbling with it for years and not seeing much progress. I had a friend who was considering a massage but nervous and I advised him to book a half-hour session and see how it goes with the intention of finding a place and person that he feels comfortable buying a full massage once a week for a month since he needs therapeutic work on the body. Point is, the facilities at the two locations I've been to were clean, inviting, and the staff was always appropriately friendly and helpful. How I started with this place was from a Groupon to another massage therapist (Adam) who said I needed a lot of work (which I already knew) and told me he worked with Oak Haven as he was pursuing different avenues in the healing arts but he has a few people at Oak Haven that he really trust with his body and recommended me to them.

The first time I visited Oak Haven Massage, I had a great experience with Christian. He was kind,…read moreknowledgeable, and tailored the massage to my preferred pressure level. My experience with him encouraged me to sign up for the membership, which I tried out for a few months. The price is reasonable at $90 per month which includes one 50 minute massage with a tier 1 therapist. Tier 2 and above are an additional cost. I tried a few different tier 1 therapists and unfortunately didn't have a very relaxing or positive experience with any of them. I also found appointments consistently started late but ended exactly on time, meaning massage time was cut by 5-10 minutes. This was frustrating and needs to be addressed.

OH MY GOD i have been to many many massage spots high end to mom and pop Asian massage spots both in Austin and LA & let me tell you that Raya by far has been my favorite masseuse. Her coordination, her strength to go deep into your muscle and open any knot that you have is amazing. Her attention to detail of where you want her to work or not. I have a feature foot and told her to not touch my left foot. I specifically asked for all over body massage becuase I needed that. The place is super clean and smells wonderful. It is a bit hard to find the suit but now I can say i have found my favorite massage spot in CP.

But my body needed it. I've been so tight from stress and a cross country move and she worked all the knots and stuck muscles with the expertise of a true professional. I have a frozen shoulder which she loosened up as well. The place is clean and calming, although a little tough to find - it's hidden in the back area of an office complex. Raya worked on me the full 90 minutes and left me feeling...looser. I will be going back every couple of weeks until I can get back to my full range of motion. Can't say enough about this place. Highly recommend and will definitely be back!

However, with my highly stressful, sit-down job/life, a massage was becoming a dire necessity. Her first ministrations down my spine caused near-instant change in my tension. I could feel relief flooding through my body. I kept waiting for chatter (which I definitely didn't want) and/or comments about all the knots in my back and everywhere else she felt them (sorry, Kelsey!), but she worked methodically and purposefully. Before I knew it, the 90 minute session was over! Thank you so much for a thoroughly enjoyable massage!!!

Book reservation for my husband and myself incorrectly (asked for 90min but booked for 60min) 2. Had to call back to confirm correct length of time for massage (upon reading confirmation text). 3. Got a call at 9pm (woke baby up) to tell me that they couldn't confirm a 90 minutes reservation for my husband because the masseuse may or may not be able to do a 90 minute massage. (Turns out the masseuse had an injury and they weren't sure if she could do a 90minute) 4. Husband's masseuse (the one with the injury) didn't ask him how the pressure was even ONCE and barely applied any pressure. If your staff is injured, then they really shouldn't be performing massages. We were on vacation and this was supposed to be our special treat. It turns out it was the catalyst for ruining on morning and day. Also, FYI. the location is SUPER hidden (which staff should really let people know, especially when they say they're from out of town). Miss the street and it will take you another 5-10 minutes to get back around.
