The staff Doug and Todd, introduced themselves immediately giving you the feeling that these guys knew their business. Proceeded to give a tour of each room and what was to be loaded. Once again they provided necessary insurances that the truck would carry everything. Then they brought their tools in, one person started to wrap all furniture in protective blankets, the second person started loading boxes. They loaded that truck to the rear door and included everything. They demonstrated not only strenght but, terrific planning skills. Further demonstrating that they are professionals and proud of their skills. They knew customer service giving myself a compliment about taking the bed apart. Upon arrival at the delivery destination again toured the building and planning the offload. During this process they even helped me offload a large Bar g que from my pickup. Each piece was placed where we asked and no damage to any pieces or the walls. Seniors Relocation Service provided and excellent moving experience and the price was appropriate. Six hours and everything was moved safetly and professionally. I strongly would recommend this company.

I am not a demanding person who needs that much to keep me happy but this was the stand-out single…read moreworst customer service I have experienced on my 41 years on this fair planet: * This company damaged our irreplaceable century home doorway on the way out, in front of our eyes (when I took pictures, which is the only reason they sent us a claims cheque, but for a mere $150 after originally suggesting to agree to what I thought was a modest $300 over the phone) * we never got a firm answer on a date when our stuff would arrive - weeks after we moved cross-country, we got a call two days in advance from a different moving company we never heard of who claimed were in possession of our stuff and needed to deliver it on Christmas Eve (when we were not in town) The person swore at us and tried to lay a guilt trip on us, saying he would not be able to get home to his family for Christmas unless he could deliver our belongings * we eventually got a different date, which was then cancelled and rebooked to two different dates, depending on who we talked to (at this point, we were dealing with at least three different companies) The movers who eventually showed up with half our stuff were very professional but seemed like they had hardly heard of McWilliams and didn't seem to have much co-ordination with them (I had to let them know we had yet to pay for the move and that this was their only chance to get an in-person COD from us) * the other half of our belongings arrived a week later - part on the day promised (after two rebookings), and part a few days after that, unannounced with almost no time to prepare to be home * on the way out of the property, the moving truck snagged a power line on our property, knocked out power to our drinking water well, and would have electrocuted the driver (possibly to death) had my brother-in-law not screamed at him to stay in his vehicle until he could turn the power off and move the live wire off his truck In the end McWilliams rarely had a clue where our stuff was on any given day, who they had passed it off to, how they were dealing with us, what dates they were giving us (they often gave us dates that conflicted with ones we got before or after from the company actually moving our stuff) and almost never called back when they said they would. I waited to write this review until we had successfully received all our belongings and paid them for fear of more mishaps Good....effing..grief...

Moved one side table and then one of them quit. They didn't wrap my delicate furniture even though I was told by sales that they would. Over 500 dollars of damages and multiple completely unusable pieces of furniture later they requested that my partner help them to move the rest of the furniture or else it would take the entire night and possibly not get finished. My partner who had already spent the entire morning moving boxes was convinced to continue working along with them for the duration of the move. The company provided me with an invoice that claimed the movers had worked for 7 hours when they had actually worked for less than 5! (keep in mind I was also assured by the sales team that the move would be done in under 2 hours) I refused to pay the incorrect invoice until it was adjusted so the movers left with half of my stuff against my wishes. I spent a week attempting to get the issues with the invoice fixed by speaking to their incredibly rude and unprofessional operations manager. They finally admitted their mistakes and adjusted the invoice but also included hundreds of dollars of fees for the storage of my furniture that I NEVER WANTED. This company does not care about customers or their poor workers, only making as much money as possible. If this review is still up it means nothing was dealt with or solved! Customers beware!

Lying about their services they provide, and the fact that they are not located in Peterborough they came from Ajax. The truck supposedly broke down and they were 45 minutes late. Pay by the hour and they will take as long as possible to move your belongings. Scuff the walls with furniture, scrape the banister, scratch the hardwood floor, scratch the furniture, turn your fragile boxes on side or upside down or drop them! They can't read the labels on the boxes which room they go to so you have to move them yourself! Then they hold your property ransom in the truck (which by the way is illegal because I had to call the police) until you agreed to pay the amount they say you owe them regardless of the damages. This company should not be in the moving business. They have no idea what they are doing. They have no regard or care for your belongings. All they want is your money! Don't believe the reviews they pay for the reviews!!
