Dr. Bloom's staff answers the phone! It caught me off guard the first time I called for an appointment. In this day of automated and endless hold times, it was a bit of a surprise when a human answered the phone, and such a pleasant person at that. His whole staff is caring and considerate, they make you feel appreciated as a patient. An added bonus is Dr. Bloom's staff can do everything onsite, labs, xrays, EKG, everything. During the office visit, Dr. Bloom takes my and my spouse's health matter(s) seriously, is open to discussing options, and is an incredible reservoir of medical knowledge and good sense. His focus is on getting you to your optimal healthy self again and enjoying life. The appointment quickly turned into a pitch for his concierge service, including bragging about dropping "1,500 patients down to 150," which felt more like sales than healthcare. Dr Bloom rocks! As a busy physician I can't stop.. I developed a horrible throat infection and chills and on e text he got me in. Within minutes the test came back and bang got my shot and prescription and by the end of the day so much better. He's a caring man and his wife is like mom when your sick. Just as an update, we went HAM on the online reviews. Why? Because these jerks were NOT answering our calls, literally ignoring them, ignoring our voicemails, I even called and pretended to be a patient JUST SO I COULD SPEAK WITH SOMEONE! And once I told them I wasn't a patient and needed to speak with someone about my boyfriend (who was with me on speaker) she said she wasn't able to speak to me and HUNG UP ON ME. Who does that? I wasn't even being rude! Not only that, but the lady from my boyfriend's insurance was trying to contact them about this dispute, THEY HUNG UP ON HER! And were rude to her! She called us back and said she could not believe that they actually hung up on her like that! Anyway, so we did what young people do best and wrote reviews EVERYWHERE about this terrible office. About 4-6 weeks later, we received a letter from the collections department that the collections was dropped by the doctor's office. LOL. Jerks. Don't ever go here. P.S. LOL @ Dr. Blooms response!! Dr. Bloom and his staff are beyond wonderful! I recently moved to the area and was looking for a primary care doctor. Dr. Bloom came recommended to me, and I couldn't be happier with my experience. The office has in house blood work which is awesome along with an ekg machine and an x-ray machine - everything I needed in one fellow swoop! The doctor took his time to understand my needs and was honest with me from the beginning on what he felt could be the root of my medical issues. Plus the young lady in the billing department was able to bill my appointment as a physical so that it didn't cost me anything! Dr Jeffrey Bloom is the best! My fiancée dislocated his shoulder camping this past weekend and was in some serious pain. He also has zero insurance. We were seen quickly and Dr. Bloom took care to X-ray him, get his full medical history and to proscribe him some medication to help. For an uninsured patient, the fee was not excessive. He was also very kind to refer us to a place to get an MRI at a discounted rate. I can't say enough how he was very kind and attentive. We'll definitely be back. read more

Dr. Jeffrey Bloom is an unprofessional business man that is clearly out for cash instead of providing proper health care. Instead of recommending lifestyle changes, he reaches for his prescription pad and tries to heavily medicate you. He most likely has some incentive from drug reps! He erroneously bills your insurance so they won't cover preventative care visits. Then when you dispute the claim, he'll send you to collections, forcing you to pay or face a ding on your credit score. His staff is extremely rude and clueless. I'm not one to review a doctor's office for two reasons. First, it's a doctor's office. I mean, do people even read reviews of doctor's offices? And, secondly (and more importantly), I hardly ever go to the doctor in the first place. Anyway, seeing as I'm going to Africa in August (the land of scary animals and even scarier diseases), I needed to get drugged up. This was largely complicated by the fact that I'm not living in Dallas right now. So... I called the Orange County Health Department and they referred me to Back Bay Medical, where Dr. Robertson hooked me up with my malaria pills as well as my typhoid, yellow fever and Hepatitis A shots. It sounds so cheerful, doesn't it? Dr. Robertson was awesome - he sat down and went over the pros and cons of all of my options, telling me why I'd want to do this and why I wouldn't want to do the other. I'm pretty anti-doctor, so it was refreshing to visit with a doctor who didn't try to shove unnecessary vaccinations and antibiotics down my throat. The doctor himself is ok caring. Once you make an appointment and go in, he's nice. The wait was about 60 - 80 mins between sitting in the lobby and sitting in his office. I asked him to fill out a form for my insurance the following week based on the result I had from my recent visit, he had his receptionist call me and ask me to make another appointment, probably so that they can charge my insurance company another $300 to write down my blood pressure and put a stamp on it. Also, the receptionist took my credit card payment for my initial visit and didn't mark it to its billing company. Now I have to go through the hassle of finding the receipt to prove to the billing company I paid. Not sure if they're trying to get twice the payment. read more

Every time you come for an appointment it's as if you're distracting him from some other important business and he's doing you a favor by showing up. Dr. Bloom is a great doctor. He listens to me, and even better understands. He is also my sons doctor, which is a challenge in itself. They have a good report. I am able to get in to see him if there is an urgent need. Which is way better then prompt care facilities. He diligently keeps track of my health. His office has real people that answer the phone. They are super helpful and kind. Love his staff! Office is easy to get to, not in a crowded complex, nor pay for parking. The office is also close to parking, and on the first floor. Awful , awful experience! I recently chose Dr. Jeffery Bloom as a my primary care doctor because I needed a referral to a dermatologist. I recently changed jobs and needed a fresh referral to continue my 6 month visits to a derm due to a past battle with Melanoma. I'm pregnant and so it is especially important to be diligent of skin changes during this time. My actual meeting with Dr. Bloom was fine. He saw me exactly on schedule, took a generous amount of time collecting my medical history as a new patient and wrote my referral. He then walked me out and passed the referral onto his office staff...that is when the experience turned horrible. I waited one week to hear something from the office about my referral status. When I failed to receive an email or phone call as promised; I called the office for an update. And then continued to call every other day for 3 WEEKS looking for an update. Here is a short list of excuses from Dr. Bloom's staff over those 3 WEEKS on why my referral had not been completed: * We've never dealt with your insurance before. (I'm insured by Aetna) * We recently changed computer systems and I haven't been trained/can't log into/am unable to find/ the information needed to process. * Rosie is out for a couple of days and she is the only one who can work on your referral. * My internet connection is down today. * I'm the only one in the front office and my job is only to answer phones not work on referrals. * We faxed it yesterday (my dermatology office never received it). * We can't find you in the system Cynthia. (My name is Suzanne) I'm currently at the 6 week mark and they are still working on figuring the referral process out. Today I was told that Dr. Bloom himself would log into the system and process the referral. I certainly won't wait under water. I partially blame myself for not just switching primary physicians after a couple of weeks in and starting over. I can't comment on Dr. Bloom's talent as a Dr. but am terrified of his offices staffs' inability to complete a very basic task for a primary care physician's office. I noticed a number of elderly patients in his waiting room during my visit and it breaks my heart to think of one of those sweet grandma or grandpas going through what I have just for a much needed visit to a cardiologist or other specialist requiring a referral. read more

I've gone through a handful of doctors over the years and consider it a blessing that I came under the care of Dr. Bloom when I was going through a crisis and needed proper medical attention. Not only was he able to accurately diagnose my condition and refused to prescribe medication that other doctors had blindly provided, he's knowledgeable, informative and open to various treatment options. The icing on the cake is that he's easy to talk to and prompt with his communications. For these reasons, I continue to see Dr. Bloom even though I no longer live in the area. WOW!!! Dr. Bloom is one of the most caring and thorough doctors I have seen. He his time with me and I didn't feel rushed. He listened to me and took the proper steps to treat me. I dislocated my shoulder a couple days prior to visiting him. He took ex rays of it make sure it was set properly. He suggested I get an MRI of it so he could fully see what was going on with it. DON'T GO HERE !!! Dr Bloom is and arrogant and an asshole Overcharged more the Beverly Hills. I paid 500 for original Botox and it came out perfect. He charged me 550 I was in a rush and was in the area. I almost walked out too. Ten years doing Botox. (sure!!) Left huge needle marks on my face in some spots. I still see no results. Bruised my right eye. When you call and act concerned about the results. He talks to you like shit! Like your bothering him. I can still move my forehead and see no results around my eyes. So pissed off when I have a work event and photo shoot. So unhappy. Was excited to look good and don't see any results. Totally got ripped off. Lessoned learned!!! Don't go here and OC spa is wonderful but needs to stop recommend him or allow him to do Botox there. Dr Bloom ripped me off !!! Dr. Joseph started working out of this office while treating me for a neuroma. Never had foot pain or surgery of any type and he tried to avoid surgery and is upfront and honest with you about the issue. Ultimately I needed surgery and it went very smooth. Quick surgery, lets you know what the recovery is and works with you and your insurance to make sure you're taken care of. Not trying to squeeze money out of you, actually wants you to get better. Dr Charles Andrews is my primary care physician. I am very lucky and grateful to Dr. Andrews for his care and attention to details that remind me of great values that are not easy to find these days. Dr. Andrews listened to my concerns and recommended the optimal solution or procedure to help my issues. My insurance cover few procedures. He took care in finding the most cost efficient procedures so I would not be burdened by large bills! This is something I have not experienced before thou I spent considerable length of time in hospitals under doctors care. I would recommend Dr. Andrews very highly to my family and loved ones. Why do they "order" so many tests which they can "just happen" to do at the office next door, which THEY OWN? The staff insists these are 2 different entities, but they PERSONALLY walk you down the hall. Wouldn't that be a conflict of interest? Also, the billing is continually duplicated, and very hard to keep track of. read more

I recently saw Dr Jeffery Bloom. The dr visit was fine but their office staff was the WORST. They overcharged me and billed to the wrong codes so my insurance wouldn't pay for it. I called them multiple times and even had my insurance company call them directly. Dr Bloom refused to speak with me directly and Inhad to deal with his extremely unhelpful staff. They have still not fixed the issue and at this point I have given up... This office is out for money and that's all. Do not trust their billing staff or anyone in this office for that matter.
