He is extremely professional, knowledgeable, caring, and highly competent in his field. His attention to patients and commitment to quality care truly stand out. I was in the mission viejo area and needed to find an urgent care. I came across this place. The place is clean and modern. They had Xray and ultrasound on site which I appreciate. I went on a saturday morning and there was not a long wait. I did have to wait after being examined by the medical assistant but there's usually a standard wait after getting labs drawn. The doctor on site was very attentive. Meds were sent to the pharmacy at check out and it did not feel chaotic. I would recommend to anyone looking for an urgent care in that area. read more

I've come to this urgent care many times in the past and it was great, I've even referred several people there because the service was A+, you buy some meds there and the wait was relatively fast. I just recently went and I will not be back. I have been very lucky and fortunate enough in my life to travel often, and I have the option to do medical tourism for affordable care (consulting, diagnostic testing, etc) all around the world, like in the CDMX or in Europe. However, I come to this specific practice in Irvine because of the professionalism, integrity, and quality of care I've received. I have been coming here for about 10 years, as I used to have an office on Millikan Ave, very close by. The office staff, facility, and medical providers have repeatedly exceeded my expectations, and I credit this clinic with helping me through several serious health episodes, including UTIs that nearly progressed to sepsis. This is why I chose them as my family practice. During this recent visit, I had been traveling frequently and experiencing health concerns, so I came in for a preventative care visit/checkup. I met with Dr. Khan (Dr.K), who was exceptional...Insightful, thorough, attentive, and proactive. He ordered appropriate tests, explained everything clearly, and made sure I felt supported and understood. He asked that I return the next morning for fasted bloodwork, which I did. When I returned, I requested a brief consultation to ask a follow-up question I had forgotten during my initial visit. The front desk kindly informed me that only a Nurse Practitioner was available. In my history with Nurse Practitioners, they have been just as helpful and knowledgeable to address my questions and concerns as MDs. I have a great respect for all medical professionals, whether MD, DO, NP, PA, etc. I was more than comfortable meeting with any medical provider available as my primary care provider. However, my experience with the NP I met, Vanessa, was the complete opposite of the standard I've come to appreciate here. She spent less than 10 minutes with me, was dismissive and condescending, and showed no interest in my symptoms, concerns, or medical history. She asked no clarifying questions and offered no meaningful assessment. It was the least professional interaction I've ever had at this clinic, and one of the worst I've experienced in the U.S. medical system overall. For anyone seeking thoughtful, intentional, and high-quality care at this practice, I strongly recommend seeing any provider other than NP Vanessa. This practice does not offer appointments, so I would advise just calling the front desk staff who are exceedingly helpful and lovely, and ask how to avoid coming in on a day where the NP Vanessa is working. I would suggest you seek care from anyone else at this establishment, if you hope to engage with a medical provider that is willing, attentive, thoughtful, and caring. Aside from my one terrible experience, every other interaction I've had at Irvine Urgent Care has been excellent. Update: Bryan the manager called me directly to find out why we were billed this crazy amount from the lab. He seemed concerned and we spent time on the phone, figuring it out. He said he would call the lab directly and find out what was going on. The next day he called me and let me know that the lab was closed and he would have to wait until Monday, but he assured me he would follow up. So instead of just leaving me hanging, he followed up which I thought was super professional. And then the icing on the cake he just called me and said that he called the lab and that Irvine Urgent Care was going to take care of all out-of-pocket charges for us from the lab as he wanted to make sure that we felt like we were taken care of in this matter. Their excellent reviews are not by accident obviously and that's why we've come here several times. But now, knowing that their customer service and management really care, there is not a Urgent Care I would recommend more than this place. read more

I came here when I was visiting family after a family trip I had a cough that was not going away. The staff sent my prescription to the pharmacy within an hour. I also saw that they provided iv hydration so i had that done. Im glad I decided to go here. I give to stare for their great customer service and for being very fast but 2 people tried but they weren't able to do my bloodwork! It was very painful and I've never had such a bad experience. It was interesting that two people weren't able to do a blood work and i was there in the morning but still i cant move my hands....quality of work for blood lab wasnt there i ended up to drive to Quest where with first try without any pain They did my blood work.Am i going back to this place, obviously no. The staff was warm, welcoming, and incredibly helpful from the moment I walked in. The ultrasound tech was nice and made me feel comfortable throughout the entire process. I woke up feeling awful with a very high fever. I am in from out of town so I yelped to figure out where to go. I had an incredibly caring and nurturing experience here. Everybody was kind they recognized that I was very sick and they took action immediately. I didn't wait very long and I felt very comfortable with their medical advice in their practices. I was able to take a little nap. They gave me fluids. They gave me antibiotics And a good recommendation for a place to get yummy soup at a Chinese restaurant. They even gave me the address to the Cvs because like I said I'm from out of town. This was such a good experience and literally by the time I walked out the door I felt half alive instead of half dead. Excellent doctor excellent nurses excellent staff. Very professional. Updating this review in response to you Rachel. You said my timeline does not match your records which is funny because i was texting my fiance a play by play the entire hour i was sitting in that room so ill attach pictures with timestamps that add up to what i said previously. As for the ear drops, I had 2 different pharmacists on 2 different calls tell me that ear drops were sent over and not eye drops. Plus you guys didnt even try to resend it when you said you did. Additionally, i was not advised to call the pharmacy after an hour. I was told to wait for a call or text from them by the woman at your front desk and i even double checked that with her as i was leaving. Maybe its time for a training refresher with the staff? EDIT: I forgot i took a picture of the prescription that day so i will also attach a picture of the EAR drops that were sent over. As you can see its not a name brand like you say. I needed my kidneys checked, and they handled everything quickly and professionally. The report was sent directly to my PCP, and they even gave me a CD with the images before I left. Came here right when they opened on a weekday for some cold and flu like symptoms. It was pretty easy to fill out all of the patient forms online while I waited to be seen. I waited maybe 10 minutes before I was called back and it was probably the least amount of time I've ever waited in a patient room before being seen. The nurse came in, asked a few questions and then less than a minute later the doctor came in the talk with me. We did some quick on the spot tests that also went pretty quickly and I was out of there by 9:33 (they opened at 9). I usually prefer to see my regular physician but the care here was good enough quality that I would come back here for another urgent health need -- although hopefully that's not soon!! read more

I hurt my back from a car accident. The staff and doctors were incredibly friendly, professional, and made me feel well taken care of from the moment I walked in. They helped me get the MRI I needed quickly and made the whole process so smooth. What really stood out was their follow-up. I received a call within 24 hours to check on how I was doing and to let me know that my MRI images were ready to be picked up on a disc, just like I had requested. (Most) Front desk staff and all the nurses are great. Doctors really don't give a shit. I had a whole body rash/hives breakout and was prescribed steroids and an antibiotic. The steroid is to suppress the rash/hives/itchiness and the antibiotic for potential infection that caused the hives. Been taking both and since day 1 began to have extreme itchiness and rash on only my hands and feet which was not part of the breakout before. Thought it was strange because the steroids are supposed to stop the rash and itching. Discovered this is a common allergic response to antibiotics. Called the urgent care to ask to talk to the prescribing doctor. They said they couldn't prescribe new meds unless I go back in, which wasn't possible since I was traveling at the time. I said I wasn't asking for new prescription I just wanted to make sure the reactions I'm having are normal for my current prescription and that I don't have to be alarmed. They said yeah they can't do anything unless I go back in and gave me NO further option or instruction. I had to stop them from ending the call and ask THEM, should I stop taking my current medications? They said "YEAH I GUESS, if you're having a reaction you should stop". Didn't even ask what kind of reaction I was having, how severe it was or anything, what I should do because I have to stop the meds. How should I as a patient know what kind of reaction is normal or bad? This entire time the prescribing doctor never talked to me on the phone once. They didn't even say which meds I should stop taking or I need to stop both. Honestly what the fuck is this level of incompetence? Horrible quality of follow up care, be aware this is what you're signing up for, if this was serious they would have been responsible for the deterioration of my health. read more

Another quality visit! I have been managing back pain and sciatica with PT, steroid injections and chiropractors for at least a year. Even with all that I still had been in so much pain this week and came in today. It's been a couple hours and I feel like my old self! Thank you for the IV and adding in the anti-nausea was exactly what I needed. I like the way someone came and checked on me every 4-5 minutes. That's how they knew to give me the anti-nausea mix in the drip as well. I really appreciate you. Checking in the combination of pain medicine and steroid and anti-nausea made me wish I'd really come in sooner. You guys gave me my whole week back.
